It would be great to allow the FMB to send messages to the Apache text screen, as though from a UAV controller etc. So when an Apache enters a zone, you might get a text message on the screen describing a vehicle to be attacked. Much better than a detached text box top right. Can't imagine it's hard to do.
  2. Yep in real life the A-10 has oonly been used where there have been no enemy fighters and a massively weakened AD net. Even then, they've been lost to small SAMs.
  3. Last night we won Sukhumi Unleashed in record time. All the Blues flew jets so the Helo team on Red just captured everything!

  5. I find the flying is OK, but yes, he stops on touchdown faster than you ever could.

  7. The guns will jam in sustained high G. Reload them using the next pyro cartridge.
  8. Couldn't stay to the end. We did A easily then 98% of B when I had to go.
  9. Have seen this in multiple missions (sample TRK and MIS file included). The L-39ZA scored clear impacts on an LAV and causes zero damage and in the post mission brief, no rounds are recorded as having hit. ZA registers no gun hits on LAV.trk Syria L-39C Training Flight.miz

  11. Yes and not just the JDAM but the JSOW and the amazing CBU-105 too. Probably the best weapon in the game for taking out tanks, shilkas etc!

  15. Thanks for reporting it. However it definitely isn't as simple as the "harder to kill" issue - it's that the skeets don't see static aircraft as targets and therefore default to general cluster mode. The skeets are meant to auto-home on targets for direct hits. The actual weapons behave differently, not just the effect on tgt. Now, what I don't know is if real world skeets would ID aircraft. However the dense metal in the engines suggests to me that they would. I have played the same mission with other units including bunkers, static ZU-23 gun pits etc and all are targeted and destroyed. We had the same thing with the new Jester LANTIRN - it didn't see static aircraft but that has now been fixed.
  16. Sure. Here are two files with identical conditions and placement. In one the CBU-105 skeet correctly find and destroy a lot of armour. In the other, they do not identify parked a/c as targets and do not destroy any at all, despite good dispersion over 8 parked aircraft.   17. Note: Won't spawn at Gelendzhik either. Will spawn at Batumi, K-Centre, Maykop etc.
  18. Trying to build a multiplayer mission and cannot get a Blue F-5 to spawn at Novorossisk. Other aircraft (A-10A, UH-1) work fine and the F-5 happily spawns at other bases. Any ideas please?

  20. Killed an A-10 today with the Hind and the new ATAKA. Felt good
  21. It has no AA mode.
  22. 1. SRS (Simple Radio Standalone). It will launch on the right channel when the mission launches. You then need to tune the aircraft frequency to 124 (Red Side) or 251 (Blue Side). In aircraft with presets just ask in chat (eg Channel 0 in Mig-21, Channel 2 in Mig-19, Channel 1 in Viggen). It seems complicated the first time but soon becomes second nature. 2. The server runs one mission at a time. When one side wins or the timer runs out (typically 5 hours) then next mission loads automatically in a pre-defined rota. You just join whatever is running. 3. Read the brief (esp. look at the briefing images). You can also access these in flight using ALT B. Also use the F10 map and look for markers (orange circles). We are here to help and welcome you.   23. I haven't tried with Pet but there's definitely a time of day when it's already bright where infantry and vehicles without night optics don't fire. Then a few minutes later the game deems it day and they can shoot.
