  1. Some third party developers out there have the same info as us however (none) Assumptions will always be made and it doesn't look great from the outside you have to admit. It may put off future investment into DCS which would be a shame for all of us. edit, Paul is too fast...
  2. I feel for you, I really do. They certainly should have told you they had the same aircraft in production and I have no idea why they didn't (we don't get to know much around here unless VEAO are involved) But giving up completely on DCS would be unfortunate for us all. I realise you must feel disheartened, even betrayed but there is a big market here, plenty of us would invest in future products from you and DCS is likely to grow and grow. Rather than cutting all ties, it might be better to step back for a while and decide on that later once emotions have settled. The more third party developers we have around, the better. While we don't know much at all, It does seem clear there needs to be a more open relationship, or just a better understanding between ED and third party developers to prevent anything like this happening again. I hope you do well in whatever you choose to do... and I sincerely hope DCS will be involved in your plans at some point.
  3. The one I posted isn't 4k, but it is 144hz like my current monitor (VG278HE) It is just incredibly expensive.
  4. I've been considering this one for quite a while.. http://www.amazon.co.uk/PG278Q-Widescreen-Monitor-2560x1440-NVIDIA/dp/B00LBZLIXG/ref=sr_1_8?ie=UTF8&qid=1410188670&sr=8-8&keywords=asus+pb287q Not quite 4k but I'm thinking it will be a nice balance for me. My 27" 1920x1080p just doesn't have a good enough resolution for gaming. but it is 144hz which is something you never want to give up once you've gotten used to. I'm just waiting for the price to drop a bit because ouch! I would love to know from those that have made such a jump if the extra resolution improves DCS much?
  5. Maybe they will surprise us with DCS: Mig 29 at some point down the line ;) Plenty of great stuff on the way to keep me happy for a while, but it would be nice to see this eventually.
  6. Combined Arms may actually be worth a look to those of us that passed it up once EDGE is released, looks nice.
  7. I need another Graphics card then...
  8. Yeah, I was sure I'd heard this, well please do let us know if you find out.
  9. Really? I thought this was one of the main benefits of EDGE... I guess I heard some false info a long time ago and it stuck with me.
  10. Wow, what an amazing update, lots of stuff to be excited about here!!
  11. I remember my first flight back in the F-15c, it was a great experience... and that was before the improved flight model!
  12. Beat me too it, is isn't always black & White, there needs to be a balance.
  13. Fitting forum name it seems. ;)
  14. I moved away from Photobucket recently, the intrusive adds were bad enough. But the forced reduction in image quality was driving me mad. I signed up to Imgur and so far so good. Always interested in alternatives though. It is a superb image!!
  15. I meant specifically from ED of course, not third parties. And it was just an assumption. The development of EDGE is no doubt taking up a lot of time their end, that time will no doubt be spent on other things once EDGE is complete.
  16. EDGE will be worth the wait I am sure, once the foundations are laid, I imagine will will see new features and aircraft more often and then everybody will be happy. DCS is by far the best flight sim on the market for me, I am happy to give ED all of the time they require to make it even better. There are of course alternatives to pass the time for those who don't feel the same. Have a break and come back when EDGE is ready.
  17. New music for the trailer, I like it!!
  18. No issues at all that I have found personally. All you need to know is that you aren't just buying the best flight stick available, but a beautiful piece of engineering that will be a real joy to use every time you plug it in. It is very expensive, but I have never regretted paying the money for it.
  19. Thank you.
  20. Can we confirm this? I was wondering myself which it may be.
  21. All I can really say about this is that I've stopped flying the Dora and gone back to the P-51d, I just much prefer it personally. The overly difficult take off, combined with the need for constant input on the Dora just isn't much fun for me. I find the Mustang offers a nicer feeling of flight also, all personal opinion of course.
  22. 82 F-16D's grounded after cracks found in their canopies. http://www.acc.af.mil/news/story.asp?id=123421855&source=GovD#.U_S27GsDAGp.facebook
  23. Not sure how funny it is, but he is a lucky boy... perfect landing!
  24. Actually, this has grown on me a lot... Looking forward to the AFM and this.
