  1. Performing a WOF on a waypoint should: 1) select A/G master mode and call up the most recent stores program selected along with attack symbology. 2) transfer designation from WYPT to WO/S if it exists. TACMAN vol 1 (para 2.4.1) Neither of these currently occur. AV8B - WOF.trk
  2. Really minor point, but I guess we're getting to that stage with the AV-8B (which is awesome). When calculating the abort numbers on the VREST page, changing runway wet or dry on the ODU has no effect. The VREST entry stays as dry. Further, my understanding from NATOPS (para 2.20.1.2) is that pressing the ODU should toggle between "RDRY" and "RWET" as opposed to colonizing and de-colonizing RDRY. AV8B - Runway Wet.trk
  3. Realistic checklists for the RAZBAM AV-8B N/A Harrier II covering normal procedures and basic tactical checks. I fly in VR using VR Kneeboard so I wanted to create a set of kneeboards with as few pages as possible to cover normal procedures: start-up, takeoff, descent, landing, and shutdown, along with HOTAS commands and basic tactical checks. These procedures follow NATOPS as far as possible, augmented with detail from the VMAT-203 Flight Syllabus guide and other reference documents. The aim was to create a quick reference matching the real procedures as closely as possible. I tried to remove most things that weren't relevant to the DCS environment. WIP: I'm working on one or two more pages to cover the LHA case I/II/III departures and recoveries. Just need to find a good layout. WIP: Also working on an avionics guide as a kneeboard QR in lieu of the manual. I'm aiming for something similar to the Hornet Avionics Guide by bms130: https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3300819/, basically how to do everything, trying to cover some of the less commonly used procedures such as NSEQ and TOT. Have about 3 pages so far, hopefully when done I'll add that to this. I want to give full credit here to @Minsky here because his awesome Hornet kneeboard suite is what inspired me to do this for the Harrier. His kneeboards are awesome, the Hornet one is here: https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3314313/ I know RAZBAM is currently making lots of changes to the Harrier (which is great) so I'll try to keep this post updated, and happy to hear any comments/feedback. 4. I'll add a track when I get a chance, but if you start a mission in a half empty harrier with no load, then rearm and add external tanks, then then refuel, it does not fill them up. Same if you do an air start with empty tanks then land and attempt to refuel - the refueling only fills up the internal tanks.
  5. I also find once I've used the TPOD I can't change the built in FLIR WH/BH (it works fine on the HUD NAVFLIR but no change on the MPCD except the selection getting boxed/unboxed). Is this also known already?
  6. The NSEQ gets stuck on once you select it for the first time. Then even if you deselect it you can't remove the NSEQ overlay or reset the string in data.
  7. @sedenionfound something else - the AP star on the the HUD and the waypoint crosses (that appear under 10nm) are a different color to the rest at night! Not sure if that is something your mod would have changed but I don’t notice it in Vanilla
  8. Could well be Out of interest what was the other error?
  9. That's nailed it. Thanks for being so responsive and for all your hard work, like I said this is one of the mods that I always use so it's great to see it being kept up to date with all the M2000C changes! As a side note I did have a minor a problem (or at least something I hadn't noticed before) with the radar designation diamond staying in view after designation for a while and being on top of the VV but that may be a) as designed or b) something I'm doing wrong, so probably don't take my word for it and check it when you get a chance as I'm sure you know much better than me how it's supposed to look/work together
  10. Thanks for the quick reply. Just tried this, still the same issue with the steering wings.
  11. Hey @sedenion firstly I love this mod, makes everything look awesome, always use it! Thank you for all the effort you put into it! Think I found a bug - with the CCRP INS bombing (using the PI/BAD) the HUD symbology is off: the steering wings should be level with the VV but they are below it. I can send screenshots if you want but it’s pretty easy to reproduce in seconds on the instant action INS bombing mission. Not sure if this affects regular CCRP bombing too, I first noticed it on the campaign M13 where you have to drop a GBU.
  12. I worked out my problem. I was trying to enter TD in the RD field on the PCN and vice versa. Working for me now.
  13. Have the same problem with TD - I can't find the TEL button that the manual says. I tried pressing the TOP button but it's not doing anything.
  14. May be remembering wrong but I’m pretty sure in the JF-17 special options you can set the TDC sensitivity differently for the HUD, MFDs etc. something like that would be ideal.
  15. Are you using an X55/56 by any chance? If so I had ghosting issues with this for a while (lots of threads about it). Resolved it by buying a separate USB PCI card (about $10 from Amazon) to connect the throttle also via a powered USB hub. motherboard -> PCI USB -> powered hub -> joystick + throttle. If not, no idea, sorry.
  16. Yeah I edited it so that it was just the changes to the AMPCD and not the MFDs, works fine for me (I haven’t tried the LMAV on the AMPCD though).
  17. Try this: https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3311626/ Not my work. When I downloaded it I played with the modified lua files so it didn’t change the mfds, just the AMPCD.
  18. I've literally never been able to see them.
  19. Hey, yeah sorry I never got round to sending you the file - been crazy busy at work. Glad you figured it out. Yeah that’s the only problem, the speed brake doesn’t auto retract. I’ve just learnt to deal with it now, and it’s part of my landing procedure to manually retract it. Maybe someone smarter than me can figure out a better way of doing it - I thought about using the other button on the left throttle (the 2 way momentary press up and down) as that’s more like how it functions IRL (I believe) but I decided against it for consistency between modules (plus I need that switch for other stuff). Obviously my lua file is essentially assigning a digital function to what is really an analog switch so it’s a bit of a fudge. Maybe you could use one of the levers on the bottom of the throttle too (though personally I like having the speed brake on the throttle itself)? Options to think about anyway!

Hey Dude me again Just bought me a AV8BNA Harrier - and guess what it has a funky airbrake control that my x56 doesnt like when i use the SLD switch unless i use the Delay method like i had on the F18.

(only 3.5 seconds this time cos its slow)

anyway was wondering if you know any code trickery for the default joystick file for the Harrier.  It looks completely different from the F18, has no equals this and that etc, and it also seems to be an icommand not a Hotas_command.

Im assuming the icommand is an axis thing maybe.

I havent tried just adding your line to it as the name has changed to airbrake from speedbrake etc, so it is clearly different.

Not sure if you know of a fix like the f18 one or have the knowledge to know how to make one, but if you do id appreciate it.  Fumbling with a 3.5secs delay for airbrake out and then often it not retracting unless you cycle another 3.5 seconds is a pain....

      Thx

Ahhh lol no mind i fixed it - seems stt software was playing up i had used the f18 profile and edited it to the av8 i deleted the delay on the sld but seems sttt wanted to keep it in the background - a few deletes and computer on off got it to accept that wasnt what i wanted it to do and let me delete it and just a a B and a B in it which now works -

Also the harrier airbrake is weird anyway as it sticks out on the ground and when in landing config - but i wil work that out lol - got rid of the delay again so all is well

  20. Which one did you try? The top one definitely works as I use it myself. I set it up that way to be as close to the real movement as possible (where rear = extend and forward = retract). I’ve done similar on all the planes I own (hence why I made the mod) and they all work no issues. If it would help, happy to PM you or @ia_pro1691 my lua file with the modification added?
  21. Sorry, just read that you said you are not that tech savvy so here is the simple version: Go to Mods/aircraft/FA-18C/Input/FA-18C/joystick Open the default.lua file in a text editor (notepad++ works well) Paste the following line in (somewhere after line 7): { down = hotas_commands.THROTTLE_SPEED_BRAKE, up = hotas_commands.THROTTLE_SPEED_BRAKE, cockpit_device_id = devices.HOTAS, value_down = 1.0, value_up = -1.0, name = _('Speed Brake Switch - EXTEND/RETRACT'), category = {_('_Custom'), _('HOTAS')} }, Should create a new binding you can map in the controls setup called "Speed Brake Switch - EXTEND/RETRACT", just map it straight to the X56 slider, no need to mess about with the Logitech software. Currently set up for aft = extend, forward = retract, if you want to change the order (to forward = extend, aft = retract) try this (I haven't tried so no guarantee it will work though): { down = hotas_commands.THROTTLE_SPEED_BRAKE, up = hotas_commands.THROTTLE_SPEED_BRAKE, cockpit_device_id = devices.HOTAS, value_down = -1.0, value_up = 1.0, name = _('Speed Brake Switch - EXTEND/RETRACT'), category = {_('_Custom'), _('HOTAS')} }, You'll have to do this each time you update DCS unless you use a Mod Manager!
  22. https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3312384/ haven’t updated this to 2.7 yet but for the Hornet I believe it should still work. If not just copy the line I added near the top of the included lua file (line 8 or 9 I believe) into the same file in the 2.7 file structure (the mod is OvGME ready so you should be able to pick up the file structure from that). That should let you bind the X56 slider to a 2POS airbrake. It’s currently set up for forward = retract and aft = extend but you should be able to tweak it fairly easily on a text editor to work the other way around.
  23. Thanks for the response. At least I know it’s not me doing something crazy. Great to know you are looking at a solution though, at worst it’s a very minor annoyance, and not dampening my enjoyment at all!
