Hi there, I've got the CD. When I insert it in my DVD-ROM it pops up the autorun screen. When I hit "Install" button nothing happens but I can hear the DVD drive running . What I'm doing wrong ??? For note. I have Silent hunter 3 installed so the star force passes. I almost forgot. My OS is Win XP pro with SP2 installed. Thx for your awnsers and help.

Sorry, I have nothing against you. I beleived to StarForce (a forum member) who said that he speeks officaly for StarForce company. He clearly said that we wont have any trouble to reinstall FC if we dont change 40% of our hardware. On my question what will happen if we format the HD and then reinstall our OS he said that the SF wont consider that as changing. And now all of sudden it apperars that if we reinstall the game we loose one reactivation. I hope that this is a bug but if it isn't then ED you have all my best whishes for your future since I'm done with you.

Number 5 is crap. Why I should backup my registry keys ??? What will happen when I format my HD and I don't have an image of my HD ??? I beleive that STRAFORCE gave us direct statement in which he said that after formating our HD the reactivation count wont be decremented.

I cant entirely agree with you though. 3DSMAX is a tool, but even for someone with average skills it's a powerfull tool. I can't draw a shit but I can model if I have a drawing first. The best thing to do before you start modeling is to see where do you want to go. Have a general idea what you final result should be. Observe the object you want to model. All objects are jus an assembly of standard "primitives" objects such as cylinder, sphere, cube etc. Observetion an persisting are the key of success in 3D modeling. Be aware though. Your learning curve will fast at the begining then it will slowdown and finaly will go fast. There is multiple solutions to modele one object, somes are more direct others no.

3DSMAX licence price is too high. It would be better for you to have a student licence than standalone one. Watch for ebay. It could be pirated versions of 3DSMAX, in which case you can be charged by police of your country for piracy. Stick with GMAX it was developped for plane moddeling in first place so you should have all necessery modifiers there and it's free if you havv MS Flight Sim.

A piece of advice, when you hit alt+b check "match bitmap" so you can keep same dimensions of bitmap as of your model when you zoom in or out. Also switch to metric or imperial units (dependig on information you have). Just one last thing. Before you start modelin configure wiports to up side and front. Draw a box in which you can enter your plane and then start modeling. Check MAX tutorials which were shipped with, there you will find a complet tutorial on how to mdel the plane. They used P-38J lighting in that tutorial. Everything is explained step by step.
