A radar submode where the radar will extrapolate the position of a target for four seconds after that target is lost, continuously attempting to reacquire the target. You can tell you're in COAST by a segmented TD box, segmented TLL, and COAS replacing target closure rate in the missile launch envelope. Also missing is "track through the notch" where the radar shifts the frequency of the doppler clutter notch to attempt to track a notching target. -

SAM contacts are not extrapolated between updates. But in the other f16 sim, bugged targets are extrapolated in SAM. Not sure which is right. -
65g's actually have a anti ship mode IRL. By flipping a switch inside the missile, force correlate is optimized for anti-ship. There's another switch for a delayed fuse.

While we're on the subject, when is the Viper going to get IR external lighting to finally make use of the covert light modes on the external lights switch?

To be fair, every other aircraft that perfectly slaves the Maverick LOS to a SPI should need to be boresighted too. It's just the Viper is modeled in higher fidelity in that regard.

I think for later blocks, TMS forward commands track in FCR/TGP mark mode if the FCR/TGP isn't already tracking. Then a second TMS forward would be required to mark. I think what we're seeing is that being only half modeled. -
0.8 nm/hr circular error probability at full performance (status code 10) according to the old HAF blk50 -34. INS drift without GPS seems inflated in DCS and affects both the F-16 and F-18. There's a long thread on ins drift and it excessively affecting CCIP in the F-18 forum.

In early 2021 a mod stated that flight model changes would be coming in another thread bringing up the topic of lift and induced drag, but AFAIK those changes have not made it into the game yet. -
Additionally current release is missing computed rates tracking. Examples of AA slewing and computed rates tracking can be seen in this video.

You're reading too much into that thread. It's clear there is some confusion being lost in translation. One party talking about markpoints and the other party is thinking of EO VIS/ DTOS. Anyways, I will clear up all confusion now. HUD/HMCS markpoints are seamless. The only difference is the HMCS is being used for LOS instead of the HUD. HUD markpoints can be created in A-G and NAV. When you enter HUD markpoint mode, A-G weapon symbology will be blanked and the radar commanded to AGR to provide accurate slant range. TGP laser can also be used for accurate ranging. Finally, DTS passive ranging is also available. Reference MLU M1 pilot's guide page 97 and M3 page 96. And finally a note for the 1.16 mods. None of this information was copy pasted from any manual.

Yeah I read that thread and it reads like everyone is confused and is discussing something slightly different. I wouldn't read too much into it, HMCS marks will be fixed eventually. The plane isn't correctly blanking A-G weapon symbology and switching to AGR when first entering HUD Mark, however sequencing through the markpoint types fixes it. FCR markpoints are also broken but no one has reported it yet.

Of course it can create a HUD/HMCS markpoint from CCRP. It commands radar to AGR. When more than 60 degrees off boresight it can use tgp laser to get slant range. I'm not 100% sure but it might be able to use DTS passive ranging as well.

It also (AFAIK incorrectly) does that when you TMS aft when SOI isn't on the HUD.
