I'm seeing the "fixed net" in front of me the whole time on the hud & in the manual it says: " "When engaging agile airborne targets which maneuver with more than 3-4g, you need to use the fixed net for targeting. This is because the pipper intercept angles could go beyond 7°, and the pipper can’t be drawn within the ASP reflection glass." But there's no explanation on how to use it in the manual? So how is the fixed net used in the Mig-21, in Air-to-Air with the cannon?

If you want it realistic then you should get rid of all the key-bindings all together & only use joystick & rudder ha ha. Please Leatherneck give us the toggle option, at least for us that wants them, (the rest can still have the on-off option) it's a real pain to assign all the commands & remember them:helpsmilie:

The X-55 is for right hand only flying, that's the only drawback for me as I fly FSX too, otherwise I would have got it! Currently I'm very happy with my X-52 but those split throttle axis & different resistance springs on the X-55 are surely grate to have.

[NOTED] SAU directed landing mode provides incorrect directed inputs
CoBlue replied to Fishbreath's topic in Avionics
I find the "flight director" localiser bar over sensitive, even though I'm lined up it "wobbles" to left & right like crazy, making flowing the FD manually extremely difficult in bad weather? Also the SAU landing mode directional disengages several times during the approach? -
After all the training missions completed & quite a bit of flying. I have to say that this has become my nr:1 all time favorite aircraft in DCS ;) Super well done job! Leatherneck Simulations

Very interesting reading, thanx!

In the controls option set up for, Npp course set + & -. The default or assigned key binding doesn't work.
-
Very helpful & well done tutorials:thumbup: Looking forwards to more! Thank you!
-
I agree that the toggle option would make it much more user friendly & easier ie. airbrake toggle on/off =1 button, don't see any point in having 2 buttons for on & off.

Thank you! That convinced me.....Mig-21Bis bought

Hi, Have the suspension issue been addressed or is it still the same?

"I want a Hawk" please & thanx for the opportunity

Good video, I like your recent video even more:thumbup: Yes it's in beta, just as the Mi-8 have been for the past 14 months & we just recently got access to a full manual. Do you think 1y & 2m is a reasonable beta time for the Mi-8?

To Infinity and Beyond (DCS F-86 peculiarities - next chapter).
CoBlue replied to Art-J's topic in DCS: F-86F Sabre
Good find! This is not an correct behavior for sure. -
Gun smoke & flares. DCS World 1.2.12 Gun smoke effect is overdone for all modules aswell as flares. You can't see your target coz of Gun smoke in airplanes with nose mounted guns.
-
So who likes the new F-86 canopy and increased gun smoke?
CoBlue replied to Winston60's topic in DCS: F-86F Sabre
Don't like niter, both are overdone. -
Because it effects the whole aerodynamic FM of the aircraft & has consequences during the whole flight envelope. We don't want this for performing a 360 flat turn. It's however a valid argument to prove that there is something wrong with the current PFM with regards to the rudder & we want it as real as possible. And this technique does matter i.e close formation flying:thumbup:

I don't have those figures, but shouldn't you be able to calculate those numbers yourself???? I mean Belsimtek states this: "During the simulation, complex calculations of the characteristics of the aircraft constituent elements are performed taking into account their mutual influence in all the range of local angles of attack and of sideslip (including beyond stall angles as well), local ram-air flows and Mach numbers taking into account control deflections, and the level of destruction of certain elements of airframe and control surfaces. Correct Sir. It doesn't perform a flat turn, with full rudder & wings level it flies straight, in a yaw, without changing heading. Very good question & a very good comparison with the car:thumbup: This issue is really basic! Please do that, thank you:smilewink: Also take a look at the pictures of the full rudder deflection & think for yourself, should this do anything aerodynamically or not?
-
Have you read post #33 ? every airplane can perform a flat turn. What data do you want?
-
So if I have the Dora, why should I get the Bf-109? what differences, advantages, disadvantages are there between them? Thanx!
-
As a RL pilot I can confirm that without any doubt:thumbup: This is flight lesson nr 1, very basic stuff! On some airplanes it was recommended to keep your heading with rudder inputs & wings level after rotation on x-wind take-offs.

All FC3 aircrafts show GS instead of IAS in wind
CoBlue replied to CoBlue's topic in DCS: Flaming Cliffs
It was a serious question. I hoped you could explain the FM coding, what speeds it's based on & so on. The SU-27 test: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=133727 OK the bug is reported so let's hope for the best! -
All FC3 aircrafts show GS instead of IAS in wind
CoBlue replied to CoBlue's topic in DCS: Flaming Cliffs
How can you be sure? are you an coder of the aerodynamics in DCSW? The FDM code must take account of the speed of the airplane, what speed I don't know...IAS, CAS, TAS, GS, EAS? Of course it affects the FDE, if that incorrect speed, assuming it's IAS, is feeded in to the FDE program calculations....it affects Airplanes FDM, missile FDM, bullets and bombs trajectory etc etc etc! Please explain? Anyway thanx for reporting this bug! -
Yes on ground standing still, facing the wind head on. But the IAS is working when you do a 3 point landing or in a take-off roll....exactly the same attitude as standing still! So at what minimum speed does the IAS become reliable in a P-51? couldn't find anything in the manual.
