Someone else had suggested (actually did it) a lithium rechargeable battery, which seemed smaller than this one. Its on the headset thread. http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=67081&page=2 Also no need to have rechargeable or dispensable AAA Batteries in your system. AAA Baterries even if an old concept can be troublesome for your flight life :D

Yep, a Warthdog... whatever that is :) Congrats! Must be a Cousin of my Warthog. Pretty excited you where heeh ! :) Pretty understandable. Follow the mantras: 1) Update firmwares (stick and Throttle) 2) if you find you have to put too much strenght, some people switvhed the grease of the gimbal for Lithium grease and have reported an improvement. 3) Blues Skies and Blackened Tanks.

Agree 1 to 3 hours to assemble and at at least 3 to 5 hours for softwares with all updates and blah blah. Count a day and your in, pissed and sleepy. (soft instalation and updates are a PITA.)

Pilotasso, i live on Brazil so 35 aint so rare my PC is in a small room and near 40 celsius is to be considered. I have the noctua 14 on a HAF medium (932) i actually have passed the upper fan case to the side as inductor and put 2 12mm fan where it was blowing out air of the case + front fan inward and rear fn outward So in resume, it cools the room in plain summer.... And at full testing its medium warm. I didn t get the full case for lack of space, and i m happy i did not need such a monster, i had the same fears you have. So Noctua is good enought and its cheaper (i think). Congrat on the killing machine.

Virtual Reality goggles
Succellus replied to bluepilot76's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Yeah but that a HMD got your head covered and large lense (if it exist). The sea sickness problem is due to the fact that people brain (those who have one) expect a congruence of feedback that make sense: Movement of scenário registered by the eyes should have a feedback of movement of air + sense of balance given by the liquid in your ears that act as an artificial horizon + "gyroscope". Some people are more sensible to the some failure of integrated feedback and get sick more easely. Some people maybe totally impervious to sea sickness and some people adadt, but most don t. I remember a friend that was dead sick each time he saw someone playing Descent ! And i remember a Nat geo program where they showed a cabin like a boat not moving and screens around it showing the image of a boat rocking as if you where in the cabin. Some people stayed still and others just started to rock to compensate for the sea movement to the point of loosing stance cause the floor did not "move" as it should have. A good example is: next time your on the backsit of a car remaining seated, look 90 degree up right into the sky, especially on a sunny day with light clouds, chances are you ll get seasick after sometime. Such googles have high chances to cause the same effect. And another point maybe is, if you don t know exactly where each button is how will you reach keyboard, throttle buttons... even on a full pit. -
Humm unless monitor increase in size and price drop (at least in my country where a 27" monitor 1900 is the price of a 37" TV 1900) their dead. You got led TV with 2.4 ml seconds 1900X1080. If TV def get higher, then why the hell would you bother with 20 screen, assuming your not using your pc for work only. If your not on the gfx/imaging bizz a laptop is the way to go to work nowadays some of them have 17" screen.

Il 1946 has some crazy stuff, but i suppose you already own it. -
Awesome Stuff. People dedication amaze me! I m not doing half of what you do and people label me insane. Bit i bet when the work is done (it never ends :) ) some must envy us.

Nice pit!! I sometime wondered about a lot of small monitors like you did, but i though it wouldn t be viable. You prove me wrong! What video card setup you use on this beast ?

Flim a question, what is the total lenght of the project: From the wall to the most distant point of the sit. I cannot say i m nt interested in the front console as i will have a 22" and i had envisioned something similar, but i m short on money till next year so i won t be able to pay. :( Edit: if you paint the warthog extender jet black that will be it!
-
This look like having an awesome potential for screen of the instrument that is on the right console (forgot the name). BTW you were making test when you got the pictures ? Your system looks quite chaotic with instruments everywhere.

Take On Helicopter - New game by Bohemia Interactive
Succellus replied to Eight Ball's topic in Chit-Chat
 Do some troop transport in a BH oe bell behind ennemy lines, ressuplying ships with a CH53.... i would enjoy this a lot if scenario is good. Taking some skydivers, mean airborne up for some heli jump ? I m not sure you gonna have weapons...I dont think civie are allowed to pilot fighters...:smilewink: Maybe some small civie with a gun and ballistic rocket pod maybe. -
Thats the problem with free to play games, wallet wins. And usually they are riddled with bugs that the developers doesnt care to look in cause its free.

*Shrug*.. you gonna die anyway.... If i wait too much it ll be too late. I am already in the late 30... Anyway, if i suceed at what i want, the odd of dying, being crippled or whatever in the my 3 first years will be higher than this. Life is to be lived to its fullest, you only got 1, and you dont have reset. I prefer to die doing what i love than in a bed thinking i should have tryed... So it s not first on my list cause i don t have to money nor time.... yet. HD video here: I really wish it would be downloadable... A bit more http://www.phoenix-fly.com/media/media
