  1. The two biggest issues I have found with the AGM-88 is its performance not matching up with expectations based on the information charts. And secondly the damage capabilities of that missile. It is a 66kg warhead and sometimes on even a direct hit on a Big Bird radar or SA-19 it won't even destroy them. Yet the LD-10 which has a warhead half that size. It can easily one shot just about every radar in the game. I own both the JF and the F/A-18c. I am not calling to nerf one weapon system because I am biased. I am calling for more realistic performance out of the weapons we have.
  2. LoL on the two servers I play on the weather over the Caucuses is less than ideal most of the time. The past 3 days it has been low cloud cover, between 1500ft and 4500ft with a cloud ceiling of 6-10kft. I adapt.. and I do it old school with snake eyes and mavericks.
  3. From my research both the Mirage and the JF have or had the MWS. Don't have radio assists on. Not allowed on most of the servers I play on.
  4. Odd I am sure I have had a missile launch warning in my 25A/T, 29S and 27.
  5. I usually hit it as part of my fence out procedure. I rarely do pvp unless it's on a fox-1 1980s server. I hate spamraam fights.
  6. I thought this was a limitation of the real C model 2000. It's weapons computer is VERY limited when it comes to air to ground capacity. For a more powerful system you would need to use the 2000-D or the -5 model.
  7. I believe the Russian aircraft MiG-29 Su-27/33, J-11, JF-17 and Mirage 2000c all have a MWS. Which detects the IR bloom of a missile launch.
  8. Not saying they should be the same. Just saying that the LD-10 currently matches the current range tables of the AGM-88 HARM while the HARM itself falls well short of it's ranges. I have no issue that the LD-10 is longer range but I do have problems with the HARM doing less damage than the LD-10. Which is a much smaller missile and warhead.
  9. Crazy idea... Hit your defog button shortly after take off. Problem solved.
  10. I can't say I have this happen. The night before last I did a 4 LGB bomb run online. Had zero issues. Also did a 4 82SE low alt run at 500ft agl, no issues. Had an issue when a ZSU-23-4 decided to put holes in my engine...
  11. The Mirage was my first DCS full fidelity module. I have flown it for a little over a year and change now. It is a damned good fighter. It has its issues but they are because of its age.. it isn't a new late fourth gen fighter like everything else in the game. It is one of the few fighters that is actually a cold war fighter. It's air to ground capacity is a bit limited but it isn't horrible. But don't expect to go into heavy SAM country and expect to not get shot. It's also lack of a decent counter to the late spamraam missiles. It would be nice to have the later model 2000-5 as an option. But honestly I fly my Mirage more than my F/A-18C Hornet because it is just easier to deal with. And I can often just dance around missiles.
  12. How about ED make all of these features mandatory for all of the other high fidelity modules. As far as I can tell the JF is the only module that has its DTC actually modeled.
  13. I own both the F/A-18c and the JF-17. So I have experience with both systems. I have come to the conclusion that either the LD-10 is over modelled and doing things it shouldn't be able to do or the HARM is under modelled and performing well below where it should. According to the HARM tables in the Chuck's Guides for the Hornet a HARM should be able to hit a target at 50nm at 30kft from 400kts IAS. When in game you are lucky to hit anything at 30nm from 30kft moving 400kts IAS. Yet the LD-10 can fire that far with ease and almost matches the AGM-88 tables perfectly. I have found that the HARM is bleeding speed way to fast. It is going at best 300-400kts when fired at that distance when it gets to the target. Yet the LD-10 is still supersonic at that point. I don't know how to explain it but the HARM is pretty bad when it comes to SEAD work out of the 4 or 5 ARM options. If not the worst of the bunch. Any many cases I would rather use the Sidearm for SEAD work.
  14. It is so bad I don't use the TPOD or DMT to use the Maverick. I only use the Maverick itself.
  15. Yeah I can get my chocks off the Mirage no issues. Make sure your radio is on, throttle is idle.
  16. Or you can get really good at guessing coordinates of the target and hope for the best.
  17. I am looking outside of Russia for the information. Due to EDs restrictions.
  18. The SMU is the MiG-29SM Upgrade by the Ukrainian Airforce. It is basically the MiG-29S that has been upgraded in nation to the multi-role specifications. It allows the Ukrainian MiG-29S to perform the multi-role light fighter role. Like the F-16 and F-18.
  19. I understand. I was just saying my biggest wish...
  20. I just want to be able to carry a mk20s under the inboard pylons. I don't understand why those... Which are bombs... Dumb bombs at that can't be fitted where you can mount other bombs of the same size?
  21. I turn on my defog system shortly after take off. It is part of my procedure for setting up the aircraft for combat.
  22. Which is why I am a huge fan of just putting out aircraft of the same era. An F-16 Block 50 vs a MiG-29a is like taking a F-22 vs a F-100 Super Sabre. It isn't even a close match. Now a F-16A vs the MiG-29A that is a realistic match. As they were both 1970-80s model fighters.
  23. I highly doubt we will get a newer MiG-29 model. Not any fault of ED but due to RU legal reasons.
  24. I am all for a 29k granted I can barely land the current 29. But the stronger landing gear would be nice.
  25. Another chance at a high fidelity module. 25SM. Honestly though I like the Su-25A it is a blast to fly.
