Don't fly Mirages much? The 2000C carries 8-9 bombs pretty easily. Desault loves putting bombs on Mirages.

Last night I decided to do some air to ground work with the Mirage. I was able to use mk82 slicks without any issue and found they were a little more accurate. I was hitting truck groups from 18kft. But when I went to use the BLG-66 cluster bombs I did a 30deg dive on target and released at 10kft... The bombs not only fell way short but also they exploded in reverse... The bombs almost looked like they flew backwards at the ground missing my target by a good mile. Same target as with the slicks, same approach direction same weather same aircraft no change other than landing and rearming while running.

So the current redfor fox 3 is at best a 1980s missile when faced against newer mid and late 90s fox 3 western missiles. Is there any plans to update the missile?

The current FC3 aircraft have very dated cockpits at this point and look pretty rough compared to newer models. Has does ED have plans to update them to bring them up to the same level of looks? I am not asking for a clickable cockpit just updated textures and looks. Some of the gauges are very hard to read even on high settings.

I would love a Su-17/22 and the MiG-23/27. I don't think the Su-25A high fidelity will be possible due to the same reasons we don't have a high fidelity 29A.

A J-10 would be great. But I would also be happy with any 80-90s Plaaf aircraft at this point.

Any update on the cockpit for the J-11A? I do enjoy flying this aircraft but it is not much better or worse than the Su-27/33 right now.

Ok perfect same feature as the Tomcat. That is nice. If only the range was a little better. But it is still the fastest missile.

Sorry you feel that way. But did they post their resources? It is quite simple if the AGM-88 was able to be fired from stations 4 and 6 then they would use the same stations to utilize Amraams.

After doing a fair bit of research, I cannot find one real life example of a F-16C Block 50 ever firing a AGM-88 from pylons 4 or 6. I can't even find one manual that shows it was even possible. I understand this is a game but if we are going to do fantasy why not let the MiG-29S use vikrs or laser guided bombs. Or let the F-14 use jdams?

So I did some more research last night. According to several sources the 190A8 had a roll rate of a 162 deg per second at 255mph(410km/h). Compared to the P-51D which had a 71 deg per second at 200kias. Which is less than half the rate of the 190. It doesn't feel or even come close to those numbers in game.

You can fire two rockets at once. Just space them out. If I see two targets close I will fire at one count to 2 then fire the second. The first will hit and then I slew the laser on the second. It takes practice but you can do it.

Picking up a su-30 at 50-60nm is not impressive. I am a huge JF-17 fan, but that is like bragging about seeing a school bus from a mile away. The Su-30 is HUGE.

That version would be the F8 model. The 190A4-8 was a fighter. The D9 was a high altitude interceptor. And the 109E-G was a light fighter. In more modern terms. The 109 was the F-16 and the 190 was the F-15. The 190 in DCS feels closer to a F model which was the ground attack fighter. The roll rate is to sluggish, it's dive acceleration and speeds are pretty meh. The energy retention is poor at best.

At max throttle it will pitch up. Center of thrust is below the center of mass of the aircraft. This is by design. In the 29 less is more.

Different doctrines. US doctrine was one was air superiority fighter designed to be able to kill at least four Aircraft for everyone lost. The other was designed to provide close air support with an immediate CAP. The F-15 was the high cover, kept safe away from the front lines. The F-16 is the front line air cover fighter. This is why it initially didn't have BVR missiles. The MiG-29 is designed to be used as an anti strike fighter, kill any low fast strike aircraft like the F/B-111 or B-1 or counter the F-16 dominance over the front line to allow the Su-25s to work. The Su-27 is or was Russia's answer to the F-15.

Why are you comparing the F-15 to a MiG-29? That is like comparing the F-16 to the Su-27. One is a long range air superiority fighter. The other is a short range light fighter.

Yeah I noticed it last night when I was defending against a player in a F-15C who launched ALL of the Amraams at me. I had four of them at one time behind me.

The block III also has an internal jammer and a cheek hardpoint for the Tpod.

I would have never considered the Thunder as early access. It is more finished than 99% of the modules in DCS.
