  1. I will also look at the possibility of making an extended range version using this model:
  2. Well I think development of the F-15EX will go on hold for a while after the 2.0 release, so I can focus on stuff like this and actually using the sim instead of just making mods for it.
  3. I will consider a bridge mod for them all, but no promises.
  4. Actually I did some testing and the HRM seems to still be functional.
  5. While I will not include the AIM-174B with the F-15EX mod, I have set it up such that if you have currenthill's AIM-174B mod installed, you can load it on the F-15EX straight away. I make no promises about how well it works, in my testing I have gotten a 50% hit rate thus far. If you do not have the AIM-174B mod installed, then you will be able to load AIM-120Bs on Stations 2, 4, 8, and 10. I will not add it to the outer wing pylons because the F-15C PFM really does not like the asymmetric load that results if you only launch one of these monsters. Who needs more than four of these anyway? XD
  6. I'm afraid a full update and fix for this mod is beyond my skill set. I did the research and some of the modeling for this mod, but currenthill did all the scripting for the missiles, which is where the problem lies. I believe ED may have broken two-stage missile code permanently, and if that's the case I'm afraid the AIM-152 GDW may be dead for good. I might be wrong about that though. I could re-code the AIM-152 HRM based on existing ramjet missile code (Meteor for example). That would at least give us back one of the missiles.
  7. Not quite yet. *Couple of weeks maybe.
  8. There is a screenshot contest going on over at my Discord server, winners get their screenshot included as either the main menu screen, loading screen, or briefing image with the next mod release.
  9. We're getting close guys!
  10. No it can't, and its not hypersonic anyway. Max Mach number is set to 4.2, I checked.
  11. If you want a big AAM that can be used against ships, we actually have that already in the form of the AIM-54. The Tomcat's radar can and often does lock on to ships and will guide AIM-54s to them. At least it used to, presumably it still works. I think that's down to how realistic HB's radar models are more than anything else though.
  12. As I remember it, relatively long range was supposed to be one of the requirements for the CF-105. Four hundred nautical miles wasn't too bad for the era, especially for a supersonic interceptor. As for maneuverability, delta wings are actually rather good in that regard (Mirage 2000, Gripen, Typhoon, and so on). The catch is that you need a high power-to-weight ratio in order to keep the aircraft from stalling out during hard maneuvers. In this regard I suspect the Arrow would have been better than average, at least for the time. The Mk 1 Arrow had a thrust-to-weight ratio of 0.825, not far off that of the early F-4 Phantom II variants. Had it gone into production, the Mk 2 with significantly more powerful engines could have had the best thrust-to-weight ratio of any aircraft of the era, except perhaps the XF8U-3. Of course that does assume that the Orenda engines intended to power the Mk 2 performed as advertised. There may have been some limitations in certain flight regimes due to blanking of the vertical tail, but you'd only encounter this in a dogfight - something the Arrow wasn't really designed for. If the Arrow had gone into production and stayed in service as long as the F-101s that Canada eventually got instead, then they could have installed new radars and missiles later on. The nose may have been big enough to incorporate the AWG-10 from the F-4J or the APG-63 from the F-15A; paired with AIM-7F/M that would have been a far more potent combination than the Canadian F-101s and their Falcon missiles. Interesting what-if for sure.
  13. I'm surprised this still works at all since 2.9.6 caused problems for SFM mods.
  14. We really do need an accurate Panther in DCS. This is looking great!
  15. I can understand that, but based on my understanding this is a EULA violation.
  16. It appears that the downloads channel in the discord is locked behind a paid subscription.
  17. Makes sense, the current release references the F-15C cockpit, so it will use whatever file is there. New livery out by tigershark131: https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3340364/
  18. Maybe that would work if you installed musolo's cockpit mod that replaces the F-15C cockpit, so with 1.8.6 that should be possible if you have that installed, but it will be a single seat cockpit. I have a two-seat version that will be included with Version 2.0. It even includes an animated WSO in the back seat (though you cannot occupy the rear seat and multicrew will not be available).
  19. Cockpit model is being further developed, courtesy of @musolo.
  20. This is due to file size limitations on the DCS User Files. Adding even one more livery puts it over the 300mb compressed limit.
  21. Version 1.8.7 is now live on the User Files. Basically this is an update of 1.8.5 with the F-15C PFM instead of the old broken SFM, fixed spawn issues, and redone MAWS fairing model. Still uses the F-15C cockpit for now, but should provide a good quality of life upgrade until I can get Version 2.0 out the door. I have encountered some issues with the AIM-260 missiles not alerting RWR properly, so I'm going to have to look into that, along with some other bugs that have cropped up during internal testing of 1.9, so the 2.0 release may be some time in the future sadly. https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3340119/
  22. Was that for player or AI?
  23. The state of things currently:
  24. You can probably tell which Huey variant I'm most interested in based on my DCS wishlist in my forum signature, but even a UH-1N would be nice (twin engines but old-school cockpit). Great work!
