  1. Alright. So I just decided to start messing with exporting the DDIs and AMPCD in the Hornet. My current configuration is one 55" 1920x1080 TV as my primary. One 27" 1920x1080 to the right, and one 27" below the main. I've got a decent monitor setup file that does what I want, but I found something interesting. If I run my setup in 3840x1080 with the MFDs exported to my right screen, the displays match up with the displays in the sim. Messing with the stroke thickness and fuzziness produces consistent results between the main and the exports. So that's good. Now, when I run it in 1920x2160, with the exports on my bottom monitor. The lines are double the thickness and fuzzy as hell. I can make them look good with tweaks, but at the cost of not being able to read my HUD. Has anyone else noticed this rather odd difference in output? My luas... This one works perfectly with the 3840x1080 This one gives me the blurry images in 1920x2160 I'll attach some screens for comparison. What do you guys think?
  2. I hate to necro, but I just had this issue myself. My Female DIN separated from the metal mounting bracket. I'll eventually look for a replacement, but I ended up pulling it further out and carefully and firmly fitting directly to the male connector. Seems pretty stable and easy enough to fix if it comes loose again. Granted, I have like 8 inches of extra wire coming from my DIN after a mishap a few years ago. I was pulling what was left of my hair out until I came across this thread and read through it all. Thank you!
  3. The RECCE button just hides the HMD display to clear up your field of view. The system is still operating in the background. So unless you actually shut it down the system will keep trying to use it instead of your radar. At least that's my take from what I've seen.
  4. I've always had it in Saved Games under Views. It may have been a fluke cause I've been in three servers tonight without issue. As long as it works, I'm happy!
  5. Well I was wondering because I get kicked off of some servers when I use it. Probably fails the integrity check. As soon as I disable it, I can join just fine.
  6. The continued improvements on the explosions has been amazing. Especially a 500kt unguided CCIP drop of 2 MK 83s onto a BMP.. I just love rolling inverted just after pickle to watch them just slam and BAM.
  7. Okay quick question. Does anyone have a list of servers in either stable or open beta that allow this mod? I've become spoiled by it. I can't fly certain aircraft with the default settings anymore. A-10C being top on that list.
  8. Just tried this for the hell of it. -4C air temp can't get past 98% RPM like you guys. I'll see if I can get a good track.
  9. Yeah, it's a nice little feature for throttles that don't have the physical detent. Having a Warthog though, with the detent in position, I kept getting killed in certain situations because I kept forgetting to hit the button... Yeah, that got shut off quick...lol
  10. I would love to see this added to all multi-position commands on all modules. That would be so much easier for building pits and or just switch panels.
  11. Directly above the chart that lays out localizations. Also, release is still on 2.5.0. Open Beta is the only place to find 2.5.2.
  12. 35-60 I7 4770K @ 4.5 Ghz 16GB RAM RX 480 8GB
  13. Yeah. Remember that OSB 16 on the Cougars is PB1 on the DDIs.
  14. He might be talking about losing track while pulling some higher than normal angle rolls.
  15. Yeah, any command that is either/or is a multi position command. So switch on will do one thing and another when it goes off. I'm loving it. I used to use XPadder to mimic this with keyboard commands. Glad that's something I don't have to do with the Hornet.
  16. I actually busted up laughing when it happened the first time...lol
  17. Not sure if this has ever been brought up, but I would love to see an option with the updater to continue to seed the updates after I'm done downloading. I wouldn't mind at all sharing some of my crappy upstream if it helps my fellow simmers get a little bit better D/L rate. Just an idea.
  18. I've got one sound mod for the Spit in, and proper head and neck. That's it. Every other mission and campaign I have works just fine, not this one.. It's not a huge deal. I'm sure I'll get it working at some point. My specs shouldn't be an issue, but here ya go.. I7 4770k @4.5 Ghz 16GB DDR 3 Ram @2133 AMD RX 480 8GB current 17.3.2 Crimson. Win 7 Pro 64 I'll run a repair on it later today to see if that helps.. Though I do have some issues with a few of my modules that have been reported already, so maybe I'm just unlucky with the current version.
  19. I'm getting crashes every time I try to launch the version with AI wingmen. It gives me the selection screen for lead, then freezes up.
  20. Looks great Luke. I'll be getting one too as soon as they're available! Thanks Odin for bringing this up!
  21. I created a couple of missions in the ME in 1.5.2, and 2. T90s, 80s, and 72s. The only time I had to make more than one run is when I was fighting with my pedals to line up, or I came in too shallow. With a solid approach it only took between 150-200 rounds on a single pass. It does appear that shot placement is more vital than it has been in the past. Both versions were consistent. Granted, that's on my setup. Maybe I'm just a lucky bugger.
  22. I've got to go with C. I've flown a lot of sims over the years, but nothing I accomplished in those compared to the outright enjoyment of finally being able to "master" just the startup sequence on the Hog. It took me a while to figure out what did what, and when. Though when I was able to put that all together, it felt awesome. Nothing else I've played has really had that kind of effect. Of course, I was promptly shot down after my first successful ramp start and takeoff, but hey...lol
  23. I was going to use my $36 credit to get MI-8, but apparently I can only apply $10 toward it.... I guess I'll keep waiting until the next sale.....
  24. Of the two CH all the way. I've had the CH Fighterstick, and Pro throttle, as well as the X52 set. Frankly CH blows the 52 away as far as reliability, accuracy, and ease of maintenance. Some would say the use of pots is out dated, however CH uses them quite nicely. If it ain't broke, why fix it?
