TMS left short also clears those messages, if you don't want to take your hands off the stick/throttle.

Adding new weapons to DSMS inventory page.
SmokeyTheLung replied to macieksoft's topic in DCS: A-10C Warthog
Did you get the bomb to guide to a laser spot? I've got them (gbu-16) on the wings but they basically act like dumb bombs... As to editing that file, I'd imagine it'd work the same as the others, copy the file to your desktop, edit it, then back up the old one and put the edited one in its place. -
I was having what seemed to be the same issue with winzip (I couldn't drag the modded files into the existing zip). I got it working after some messing around... Here what I did: - open the appropriate zip file in the DCS world folder with winzip - open the appropriate zip from Rockwelder - drag (extract) the two modded .dds files to a random folder that's convenient - on the first zip file (the one from your dcs world folder) look for a button that says "add files" (should be in the upper left corner of the winzip window) click that button and point winzip to your second folder (with the two modded files). Once you've found them simply hit the zip option. I think we're both missing something simple here, this may well be the clumsiest way to get this to work, but at least it works! Good luck, these textures are a really nice improvement!

Marking targets fast - Your SPI techniques
SmokeyTheLung replied to dr_After's topic in DCS: A-10C Warthog
Interestingly enough there is an unlabeled button on the CDU that deletes mark points in newer suites of the a10c. (This is according to the A-10C -1 that was briefly linked on these forums) Guess the real world pilots were as stumped by the aforementioned functionality as a lot of us vpilots seem to be -
Rest in peace

Fantastic, looking forward to that!

F-18 grip, WARTHOG compatible
SmokeyTheLung replied to hegykc's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Very cool. I'd buy one, assuming ED gets around to making an F/A-18 one of these years -

A very good point. I'm going to throw caution to the wind and be optimistic for a change... with any luck this will not be Nevadaware :tomato:

Luckily my ladyfriend is heading to Baltimore for the entire weekend! It seems too good to be true :D No being laughed at for wearing a trackIR for two whole days! This should do wonders for my self-confidence!

I do now! :D This bird looks awesome, can't wait:pilotfly:

Notice on the AHCP that you have two switches in the down position. One that disables PAC mode for the gun and one that switches your HUD to its backup mode. Flip the little switch back up and you'll get your HUD back Edit: lol :D sniped again. I give up

Yes, the DSMS page will indicate the master mode Edit: wow, totally missed the above...what he said

Are all the units in the same group? They need to be for the system to work

Alternate weapon stations during sequencial firing?
SmokeyTheLung replied to eFirehawk's topic in DCS: A-10C Warthog
You can use the missile reject HOTAS command (china hat aft short with MAV as SOI) to step through your selected missiles and fire them symmetrically. -
DDG-115 USS Rafael Peralta
SmokeyTheLung replied to ArleighBurke's topic in 3D Modeling for DCS World
Wow! Cool models -
I love the idea, it's the first thing I would do as well. Keep us posted if you attempt it

The option only works in CCIP master mode, and only effects the CCIP gun cross in that mode. When set to "no" the CCIP gun cross will not occlude any HUD symbology, including the SPI.

Possible Aircraft shake when GAU-8 is Fired ?
SmokeyTheLung replied to [VAF] Shocker's topic in DCS: A-10C Warthog
The view already "shakes" in a subtle way with that setting enabled... Am I really the only person that's noticed this? ...Enable the "head movement from g-forces" checkbox in the options, fire the gun, look at the edges of your FOV (the edge of your screen, you don't have to pan your vitual head). You can't miss the effect. ...or I'm completely insane -
Possible Aircraft shake when GAU-8 is Fired ?
SmokeyTheLung replied to [VAF] Shocker's topic in DCS: A-10C Warthog
With the "enable head movement by g-force" option enabled you can definitely descern a subltle shaking when firing the gun. It's the most apparent looking at the outside edge of the viewpoint, if that makes any sense. -
104th Dedicated Split Servers A2A & A2G
SmokeyTheLung replied to 104th_Maverick's topic in Multiplayer
Very happy to see the "mixed" server available to us. Thanks 104th admins, I missed flying in a full server! -
Superb SU-25 cockpit in the making!
SmokeyTheLung replied to tflash's topic in Lock On: Flaming Cliffs 1 & 2
I think the 25T was the only aircraft from the Flamming Cliffs stable that could be made free (iirc it wasn't a part of lock-on which ubisoft owns the rights to) Either way the new 25 pit looks outstanding! Can't wait to fly in it!
