  1. I collected a ton of info here
  2. I understand the base fulcrum needs to be in a slight climb and it’s cobra is a bit rougher. The mig-29k can do a cobra at 2:22
  3. The old Su-30MK desktop simulator was developed using a version of the flanker engine and uses a SFM like the DCS AI. https://web.archive.org/web/20030621173542/http://supermaneuver.narod.ru/ Overscan collected more then enough radar data for a basic AI simulation
  4. Plus J-11A have been spotted with PL-12 in recent years https://forum.dcs.world/topic/326099-j-11a-with-pl-12/
  5. As I understand it 9.17, 90s SMT, hump, upgraded N019, mfd 9.18, Economy SMT, no hump, Zhuk radar, probably mfd 9.19, what we think of as SMT, big hump, Zhuk, glass cockpit.
  6. Block II in 2017 with AIM-7
  7. Can APG-79 guide sparrow? I’ve seen them mounted somewhat recently but can they actually guide it? I know the block I can.
  8. Per your message to me I’m really surprised I never heard of this.
  9. makes me very excited for what ED might decide to cook up
  10. The 9.12B has a weaker processor but it has the same range as the Soviet and Warsaw pact version per overscan.
  11. The only difference between N019 and N019EA A single mode which was replaced on later production batches and not used much anyway.
  12. From Fundamentals of Fighter Design By Ray Whitford
  13. Since Python 3 is currently in game as PL-8, could it be added to the F-15C?

  15. Yea, Mig-29S is very important because If it’s Fox 3 and Mig-29G is actually the only modernish Non American or French NATO fighter till the Typhoon drops.
  16. Personally I think we’ll see a Raptor long before an F-35. Raptor isn’t even out of the DCS 2000s timeframes and in terms of software is actually less complex then our Hornet. I’d still give it 5-10 years though. F-35 is much more realistic as an asset, the Typhoon with Meteor is somewhat contemporary. Though I see it as a nice to have rather then an immediate need. Block II super hornet is still unlikely which makes me skeptical of an F-35 till at least the 2030s.
  17. From F-35 Aerodynamic Performance Verification (AIAA 2018-3679) Going by that envelope that’s turning at 19000 feet.
  18. We do have a publicly available EM chart for the F-35 and a scatter study could give a good idea of RCS, certainly enough for AI. Though I could spend a day talking AI assets we could use.
  19. @Chizh do you have any want of the SMT pilots handbook for the Zhuk radar? It’s for the Yemeni version with lacks a hump and is otherwise very similar to 9.12
  20. It has the Zhuk-ME, I’ve got the manual.
  21. Thanks man! probably even easier then. Classic airframe and much more modernized avonics.
  22. SMT 9.18 uses the 9.13 airframe and no hump and similar performance. The radar manual for the export Yemeni version has been publicly available for around a decade like the manuals being used for this module. Maybe that, we would have a 9.12B to correspond with the FC3 9.12 and a 9.18 to correspond with the FC3 9.13S.
  23. AMR-1 was a project to turn the Pl-11 into a ARH missile. I don’t think it was produced but it did make it to hardware prototype. 1996 Zhuhai show
