  1. R-77 testing around 18:30
  2. thesis on the development of APG-71, some interesting stuff. The citations though at the end are interesting. Maybe some of those are worth requesting? https://vtechworks.lib.vt.edu/server/api/core/bitstreams/cf4f2367-a4d9-45cb-828d-ce70f4b3ab7b/content
  3. GFM and AI improvements are probably the most important single player issue to come so of course support.
  4. Supposedly the article has some good info though. I’d love to get it.
  5. Hero
  6. DTIC has these papers on the Rafale. Most are translations of French articles, a few I have. Some might have some used information though. FOIA 2024-89_UL Rafale aircraft.csv
  7. Magazine article I want, but I love the picture.
  8. That’s pretty much exactly as I heard. I really hope they do a super detailed model as the amount of documentation is pretty crazy.
  9. Besides those Magic ii is the only other missile I’ve seen on a fulcrum.
  10. https://theaviationgeekclub.com/f-16-vs-mig-29-when-the-mighty-viper-dogfighted-with-the-fulcrum-for-the-first-time/ Patriot from F-16.net (F-16 is MLU) Personal correspondence with Clifton On the F-16a
  11. MICA delta V
  12. I agree they should be kept, they have value for performance
  13. As I understand it SP mode is also removed from later build Soviet Fulcrums as well and was not generally used in practice Your right about processor, though I understand it both were considered insufficient until N019m. The manual ED use I believe is for export aircraft. https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/2378427/ in theory that is enough for an ultra real radar model and it describes N019B in great detail. They could probably estimate the difference in performance due to processor speed. I don’t think in terms of operations per second N019 and N019EB are that different, like 170,000-200,000 compared to 400,000 in N019M on the Mig-29S. The only available manual newer then the above is ironically the zhuk-me so it can’t be directly compared.
  14. I was under the impression air to ground and long range search came with VEP? I though VE had the improved signal processor and native R-77 support.
  15. https://defence-blog.com/russian-fighter-fired-and-lost-a-secret-missile-in-ukraine/?amp recovered R-77-1
  16. The National Air an Space Museum has some documentation on the Mig-29SE, possibly marketing information or something from an export customer, Like Peru or Malaysia. anyone in the DC, mother Virginia area able to take a look? the documents are AM-501072-01: MiG MiG-29SE Fulcrum-C [Documents.]
  17. Good news folks The very first Super Hornet prototype will be joining the museum of transportation! We soon will have a Super Hornet to scan. https://tnmot.org/collection/f-a-18-e1-super-hornet-u-s-navy/
  18. I collected a ton of info here
  19. I understand the base fulcrum needs to be in a slight climb and it’s cobra is a bit rougher. The mig-29k can do a cobra at 2:22
  20. The old Su-30MK desktop simulator was developed using a version of the flanker engine and uses a SFM like the DCS AI. https://web.archive.org/web/20030621173542/http://supermaneuver.narod.ru/ Overscan collected more then enough radar data for a basic AI simulation
  21. Plus J-11A have been spotted with PL-12 in recent years https://forum.dcs.world/topic/326099-j-11a-with-pl-12/
  22. As I understand it 9.17, 90s SMT, hump, upgraded N019, mfd 9.18, Economy SMT, no hump, Zhuk radar, probably mfd 9.19, what we think of as SMT, big hump, Zhuk, glass cockpit.
  23. Block II in 2017 with AIM-7
  24. Can APG-79 guide sparrow? I’ve seen them mounted somewhat recently but can they actually guide it? I know the block I can.
