What Is Required to Get The Hawk Battery To Engage??!!
Furia replied to AG-51_Razor's topic in Mission Editor
At least in Nevada I had the same problem and I discovered that I once in game I needed to change the readiness state and weapons state manually. Even if the battery is set Weapons free and RED, it does not fire. You need to place it in green, and weapons hold and then again in RED and Weapons free and then it works nice. I guess this is a bug -
I would appreciate any help on this. I have a coop mission where I need the OPFOR (All AI) to have artillery indirect fires over an incoming ground force. The Blue Force would be human controlled through a Tactical Commander so I do not know the exact routes they would use. I would like the OPFOR using "observers IA" detect this incoming enemy and provide indirect fires on it. So to resume Artillery : AI Observer: AI Action performed by script or trigger or any other non human assisted method I want that when enemy is detected by an observer AI, this directs arty fire on it. Any help or suggestion would be appreiated. Thanks !!

Operation "Blue Flag" - 24/7 PvP Campaign - ROUND 9
Furia replied to gregzagk's topic in Multiplayer
Seems nobody in the blue side knows about such exploit and only some red side players have heard about it. How could this be possible? In the other hand we all know the SU-33 issues I am not in favour of any kind of exploit so I suggest both "exploits", the known one and the unknown one should be removed. -
Operation "Blue Flag" - 24/7 PvP Campaign - ROUND 9
Furia replied to gregzagk's topic in Multiplayer
I think the actual hardware available for each team is quite balanced and provides a good gameplay. There are days that RED wins and rules the skies easily and other days Blue does the same. The main issue here is Teamwork and COMUNICACION. While on an average day you can see that on the blue side most players use Simpleradio and usually there is one talented GCI guy doing an awesome work coordinating the team effort, on RED side a lot of people play lone wolf or simply do not communicate each other. Many times RED side has not a dedicated GCI guy. This is what makes the difference and not the airplane or missile types. To make this work RED, any team, need good communications and leadership. Adding such missile or airplane to the inventory would not change that. One thing I would like to ask to the Blue Flag administrators if it would be possible to extend the server restart cycle to every 4 hours instead every 3? Sometimes I feel the 3 hours are a bit short to conduct some type of operations unless you are on the server the minute it restarts. Just curious if this would be a possibility. -
I would REALLY love to have a DCS F-4 Phantom. One of my favourite airplanes ever and I as mentioned here would fit really nice to our DCS Operations. I just hope one day this dream becomes reality. This video for the Phantom lovers https://vimeo.com/199142621 One of the best Phantom videos I have seen.

Complete Transport and Logistics Deployment - CTLD
Furia replied to Ciribob's topic in Scripting Tips, Tricks & Issues
Hi guys. Just one question. Is there a way to tell the scrip what type of "paint scheme" should have the infantry spawned from helicopters or the vehicles spawned from a crate? I am creating a mission and I need the to use the "winter clothing" available on the editor instead the "default" one. Thanks -
Great stuff. Thanks a lot!!

Excellent work. Thanks!! Would it be possible to have them as well grouped in a single pdf document for mission planning purposes outside the sim?

Awesome job Belsimtek. This one is really a winner!!!

On the real Huey you do not feel any vibration effect on the flight controls different than the whole helicopter "vibrating" itself. Thus the hydraulic flight controls do not have specific vibration themselves. Addin an artificial vibration to the flight controls would make precission flying even more difficult and unrealistc. :joystick:

What smoke do you mean?

The drop tanks feeding problem haas already been reported and it is being adressed. It will be fixed in next patches.
-
To obtain ground power you do not actually use the radios. Make sure the airfield belongs to your Coalition. Make sure you have the Canopy open. If this does not work, please attach a short track here.
-
This has been reported and hopefully will be fixed soon. As mentioned here avoid cargos other than USA or Russia on the meantime. Helicopter can be of any country but use the cargo of USA or Russia whichever is in your coalition

How to fly, fight and have a good time in DCS F-86
Furia replied to Maico249th's topic in DCS: F-86F Sabre
Great post Maico. Great advices!! -
You can use the AWACS as long as the mission editor has asigned that AWACS an UHF frequency and you have the same frequency preseted on your AN/ARC-72 Command radio. regarding finding the targtes, welcome to the 50's where the main target location system was MK1 Eyeball :D it is indeed difficult. The Mig-15 is a very small aircraft (33 feet wingspawn) and very hard to locate. You have to train your eye for this. :joystick: For training, you can activate the labels or use the F-10. if the Mig is flying high you may see its contrails. The AWACS or the F-10 View simulating a GCI radar can help you to close on the Mig, but at this point you must locate it visually. With a bit of eye training, good light conditions it is not so difficult once you get your eye used to the Mig shape and size. Anyway, easy it is not.

Reported. It is being investigated. Thanks

Nice video. Nice deflection shoot. You can even get a better performance if you use the A-4 gunsight. UNCAGE the sight with the Mechanical uncage lever and set the correct Mig-15 wingspawn that is around 33 feet.

The system is properly modelled to what it was that specific attitude indicator. Those were early models and they had a different behaviour than modern western ones like the one of the A-10C for instance. On this indicator up to the first 27º either dive or climb, the reference is the "horizont bar" and beyond those 27 degress the the spere is the moving reference. It didn't worked as the modern ones neither it had the same performance and capabilities than modern instruments so you cannot apply today's instrument logic to it. And yes, it takes time to get used to this but this is how it was by then :joystick: Note Thanks to this post I just detected a small issue with the movement range of the horizont bar on the 27º range that will be reported inmediately Thx

To make a good comparison, you need first to find the proper picture of the real cockpit. The sabre has been a highly modified aircraft with a lot of different versions and cockpit layouts. The windshield was even modified and changed from the early versions of the Sabre. None of the pictures you posted here are the same model as the DCS model. You can see that some are not even F-86F series some does not even have the same type of instruments. I do not mean you are wrong, but I suggest you find the correct cockpit piture to compare and extract conclusions

Servus. The flight manual talks about a limit of 25 knots that is 12.8 mters per second wind. however the same manual recomend finding a different runway or airport if possible. You are trying it at 15 mts per second that is outside of what the manual recommend. The Sabre is not a "easy" aicraft to fly, needs a bit of practice. 25 knot direct crosswind is a challenge in any aircraft even for experienced pilots. I suggest you start practicing with smaller crosswind components and keep increasing it once you are more confortable with the aircraft behaviour.
