  1. That sounds really interesting. I'll likely pick this up once it's done.
  2. Sounds awesome, I'd buy pretty much any campaign set in WWII ETO!
  3. Well said, Home Fries.
  4. No kidding... after some really challenging missions I was terrified that I would botch the landing. Especially at night! :joystick: Loved every minute of it, though!
  5. Last night I updated to the latest 2.2 and haven't seen the crash since. If it happens again I will send you the log file.
  6. Indeed, dburne, thanks for the link. Not having to buy the Gunfighter Mk II base again make a new grip much more affordable! Once you've tried VKB there's no going back... I'm even starting to look closely at those T-Rudder pedals. :)
  7. If one already owns the Gunfighter Pro with the KG12 grip, is it possible to buy the MCG Pro grip without the gunfighter base? I don't see such a product on the website.
  8. I'm similarly getting a crash during mission 3. I wonder if there's still a problem with VR tooltips causing the crash.
  9. aaron886, I'm sure he could arrange something with you if you're interested. ;) https://www.facebook.com/bluesparkfab/posts/1341761169301837?pnref=story
  10. Funny, you're not the first person to mention that. I find it's quite comfortable at this level, but you can mount it higher or lower on the chair piston to suit your preference.
  11. I recently picked up the VKB Gunfighter Pro without thinking through how I was going to mount it. Experiments with speaker stands and 2x4's did not go well. Eventually I gave up and asked a friend who does metal work to help me out and the results are great! It's a little on the heavy side, but rock solid with an excellent grip. The stick is perfectly placed and there's no chance of wiggle or shifting. Compared to desktop sticks, this feels like the real deal. It simply attaches to the chair piston; my base plate is designed specifically for the VKB Gunfighter base but can be custom made for anything. I highly recommend this solution from Blue Spark Fabrication if you're using a grip extension! It might look like it gets in the way for other things, but it sits low enough that once you detach the grip extension from the VKB base you won't even know the mount is there.
  12. Thanks, rrohde, that makes more sense. Looks like I changed my cams for nothing... back to the #10!
  13. Thanks, I was just commenting on his statement that you can use the heavier cams "if you're not too worried about realism", or something like that. I guess my question is, is it mandatory to use the larger cams if you are using the grip extension. Great to hear there is R&D working toward a force feedback system. Meanwhile, I expect I'll get many years out of the Gunfighter!
  14. That was a great video review! It's interesting that he suggests using the heavier cams is not consistent with reality. Why is that? I thought the larger cams were necessary when using the grip extension.
  15. I do the same and find it quite challenging. Overall, the A-10C is a lot of work!
  16. Have you tried inverting the axis in DCS? Do the pedals appear to respond normally in Windows game controller properties?
  17. +1 the extension makes landing WWII planes so much easier! In general, flying is just more fun. Molevitch, can you post pictures of your mounting solution? I'm struggling to find one that is convenient and stable enough.
  18. Ack! Sorry, that was pretty obvious. ;) Thanks for the link.
  19. Thanks! Looks like this is for the Gladiator. Will it be a similar process for the gunfighter?
  20. Are there any video tutorials on how to replace the strings?
  21. +1! The simplest solutions are the best. I used a rubber drawer liner folded in three to put under my rudder pedals and racing wheel pedals. Then I went to staples to replace my chair wheels with these: https://www.staples.ca/en/staples-premium-chair-glides-5-pack/product_376596_1-CA_1_20001
  22. :) Looks funny, but if it works.... Anything that lets you play with your stick centered is definitely worth it!
  23. Agreed, I would buy something like this today!
  24. Thanks, Blech, I will check those out! Skliff, that's interesting, maybe I'm not so far off as I think. :)
