  1. Nice, I was wondering if others in the community were Folding as well. I've had it running since last week and find that it alternates between CPU processing and GPU processing regularly.
  2. No, this is at the power station. 2.5.5. I'll try for the third time and post my results. UPDATE: I got past that point on the third try, Wolf1 took off and lead me to the next state. Not sure what to say is that this is the hardest campaign I've ever played! lol
  3. Worst thing about this mission is I move both pieces of cargo and get permission to leave (thanks for hints BTW, they really did help) and as we depart the area Wolf1 crashes on take-off and the mission fails! I'm not able to get past this point. Can I request a different AI pilot for Wolf1? Maybe a sober one? ;)
  4. Been very happy with ButtKicker Gamer2 for years, but have never tried the Jetseat.
  5. A-ha, thanks!
  6. Surely they'll eventually furnish DCS with Battle of Britain aircraft, otherwise... that's just cruel! :(
  7. Holy moly, I was not aware of that! Is there a link to this info?
  8. Tactile feedback does wonders to reduce or eliminate motion sickness, at least for flight sims. Buttkicker Gamer2
  9. Pretty excited to try this after the Xmas break!
  10. 100% agree. Something else in common with VR, you can't know what an incredible difference it makes until you try it for yourself.
  11. CV1 was barely acceptable VR quality for flight sims (maybe not even). The Rift S clearly surpasses that acceptable threshold. :)
  12. There's just no going back after you've tried this beauty!
  13. I'd argue that VR headsets (at least the Rift) are better for you than a monitor since it allows your eyes to focus at a farther distance. The result is less eyestrain so I can play for much longer without eye fatigue than I can on a monitor. At least that's true for simulation games. Addiction is another question altogether. :) Mind you, simulation in VR is also a great stress relieve. If I were a doctor I'd prescribe one hour of VR flying before bed each night for a restful night's sleep. :D
  14. P-51 is the easier WWII plane to fly. Blue Nose Bastards is a fun campaign but it does involve lots of time crossing the channel. The Charnwood campaign has you stationed in France so there's less time in transit and more action. However, it's more of a ground pounding campaign. The new 109 campaign is loads of fun. Not much travel time and lots of opportunity for dog fighting!
  15. It started happening to me again after a few months and now worse than ever. Guess I'll open it up again an try reinserting the plug. :(
  16. I have waited so long for an Axis campaign in DCS! Thanks for putting in the effort to make this, your campaigns and others are really fleshing out the WWII aspect of DCS. Really looking forward to starting this. :)
  17. Those have been my impressions as well, to the letter. It gives you so much more precise control over the aircraft, whatever you're flying.
  18. Especially on the PG map. :)
  19. After already splurging on the KG12 and MFG grips, it's going to be hard to resist this F-14 when it comes out. :)
  20. Mango

    Trim?

I wouldn't know squat if it wasn't for flight sims. :)
  21. That's what it's all about, baby. DANGER ZONE!! :D
  22. Not always easy to convey humor in written text, but I get you. :) Maybe we should start moving from forums to VR chat and really let the sarcasm come out. lol!
  23. Funny, I was just noticing the same recently, since I got the Rift S. With the original Rift I almost didn't feel any weight at all and never any neck strain. Guess we need to be more careful. :)
  24. Using Rift S heavily for nearly two weeks now and aside from lackluster audio I haven't had any issues with it at all. My hardware is very similar to the OP and I'm very happy with the Rift S.
  25. Very sorry to hear that. :( A terrible loss for his family.
