I am mapping to the rotaries yes. So in simapp do i need to modify some settings? I didn't care too much about that software honestly
-
Hi guys, I have the Hornet Orion Throttle, I am struggling with the CRS and HDG switches in the Hornet, as I map those into the DCS control settings, but being a "pulse" button it causes the switches in the cockpit to just flicker, and basically it is useless this way. With the F-16 everything is correct instead. Someone has this solved some way?

Any little and minimal movement in the stick rod, corresponds to a similar movement in the motor cog. So yes, it moves the gear right away. Anyway I will try to apply some grease. About the backlash with power off there is not backlash...with the power on and the spring effects activated there is some play around the center, and as written in the first post of this thread, if I leave the stick in does not center correctly in the Y axis
-
Those does not seem to be optical encoders. I dismounted it, and everything seems fine (the cogs are ok) Maybe it is the motor that has a little bit of play

Thanks for your reply, Anyway using simffb and trying the progressive trim option, i see that this way the stick is able to stay precise in 50%, so it seems it could also be a calibration option. But the software offer no option for calibration. Is there some alternative software which can be used for calibrating the axis?or that can keep the stick axis "trimmed" forever? About the sensors, they should be contacless sensors (hall?) similar to the ones in the Warthog. No pots for sure.

Good morning, I managed to buy an old g940 and I would like to mod it. But when arrived, applied the fred41 firmware and then I tested it. I saw that it has a sloppy feeling in the center, only for the Y axis, and the spring forces are never able to completely center the Y axis. If I pull the stick back and then release it, it centers at -2% (logitech control panel), if I push it forward and then release, it centers at +6/7% (always logitech control panel readings). But when used in game with non FBW aircraft this is not really an issue since the trim force (for heli, or F14/A10C etc) is able to keep it where i trim it, but if I use the F16 or the Hornet with it, it don't center correctly (with similar behaviour as seen in the control panel). So I would like to know if this behavior is normal, or I have some issues (for example a tooth of the gimbal cog is ruined). The sensors seems to be perfectly ok. If needed I can upload pictures of the control panel showing this behavior. Thanks everyone for taking the time to read this.

Well, reading the comments above by fred, I saw that the sensor should simulate to be active only when it is disconnected from the pcb, so I will try that when I can.

Hi, I would need the firmware which disable the deadman sensor as i have in mind a modding project similar to the one by the user above. I applied the latest custom firmware, but the sensor seem to be working. In the github code I see it should be disabled. Did I do something wrong, or do I need to change something? Thanks

I didn't sell it to other people. I simply changed my mind (and the project I have in mind), and decided to keep the grip and attempt another kind of mod (simpler and cheaper then buying another grip). So I decided to sell only the base.

Have a look here. I am in the EU, so shipping would be expensive

I am selling the stuff below to optimize my setup and sell the things I won't be using anymore. All the item prices are to be considered with including shipping in the European Union. Hotas Warthog Base with softer Spring --> 100 euros Hotas Warthog Grip --> 120 euros Saitek Combat Pedals --> 80 euros Winwing Orion Throttle with Fingerlift Addon --> 280 euros + shipping (consider shipping and importing fees on top of original WinWing price). Monstertech Mount with Warthog Base plate - gray model (is ok for FSSB also) --> 80 euros + shipping ----------------------------------- PACKS: I can offer packs with discounts for who picks more items...here some example: Thrustmaster Warthog base + Warthog Grip -> 190 euros including shipping in EU Thrustmaster Warthog base + Warthog Grip + Monstertech mount -> 260 euros including shipping in EU Thrustmaster Warthog base + Warthog Grip + Winwing Orion Throttle with Fingerlift -> 460 Thrustmaster Warthog base + Warthog Grip + Saitek Combat Pedals -> 240 euros including shipping in EU Thrustmaster Warthog base + Warthog Grip + Saitek Combat Pedals + Winwing Orion Throttle with Fingerlift -> 470 euros including shipping in EU Thrustmaster Warthog base + Warthog Grip + Saitek Combat Pedals + Monstertech mount -> 300 euros including shipping in EU Thrustmaster Warthog base + Warthog Grip + Saitek Combat Pedals + Monstertech mount + Winwing Orion Throttle with Fingerlift -> 520 euros including shipping in EU

I have the same exact issue, and i cannot solve it. I tried to uninstall and reinstall but It didn't solve the problem. It could be related to what is written here: Solved - An attempt was made to access a socket in a way forbidden | Blog (ardalis.com) These are the results of the command on my RIG. -

I have very good performances, both in 2d and in VR. In reality my 2080ti is now the bottleneck (in vr)
