I don't see performance issues right now. But I am not using VR where it was really evident
-
Apparently there is a fix...vsync to off in sim, and Vsync to fast in nvidia control panel. Try that
-
It seems there is a solution (vsync off in Sim, and Vsync to fast in nvidia control panel).

Great...let me know if more informations are needed

Yeah...it is the same it happens to me...I opened a post on the forum also for this (Virpil t-50cm2 grip issues - Real Simulator FSSB Forum). But no reply yet. Anyway I am using the previous firmware and it works correctly without those issues (but i have two devices) Any thought of my other issue? - greyed out buttons for overlay and other settings in the hid software. I recall that in previous days I managed to press game mode and overlay buttons but now those are greyed out and not accessible. I would like to at least activate the warning sound through the headset. Thanks again About new RS grips....the F16 one is just out....Are we waiting for more surprises?
-
I plan to take the RS Hornet or F16 v2 grip...but not today...need to save some money first Did you try your cm2 grip then?

mmm...but apparently they added virpil grip support in 2018 Compatibility with Virpil and VKB grips - Real Simulator FSSB Forum I also have another issue, in the HID tool I cannot use the overlay or the game mode (I would like to use the overlay to enable the warning sound from the headset). I also opened a thread there...but no-ones reply Hid Tool - buttons greyed out - Real Simulator FSSB Forum

For everyone else... I just told him to write in the Italian forum section or write to the support like Bignewy instructed him

Hi, I tried this firmware but I have the t-50cm2 grip, and it is not working. I have many dx buttons pressed automatically > then dx32 Also I don't seem able to access the SSM menu with that grip at all (this is with any firmware)

AMD 5800X3D, the new King for flight simulators?
VirusAM replied to maxsin72's topic in Virtual Reality
That is one side of the equation..the other is the complexity of the calculation needed. Many AI units and many scripts equals to more calculations for that tiny core (waiting for multi-core here) -
Added new hardware and deleted sold stuff

VirusAM replied to IronMike's topic in DCS: F-14A & B
I have an ffb stick and autopilot usage is difficult for me. I thought I was doing some mistake, but reading here then enlightened me. I can do some test if needed. Sent from my Pixel 6 using Tapatalk -
Winwing throttle pictures added

Sure, but I will need to do that, I will post it in the next few days
-
yes, exactly
-
I am mapping to the rotaries yes. So in simapp do i need to modify some settings? I didn't care too much about that software honestly
-
Hi guys, I have the Hornet Orion Throttle, I am struggling with the CRS and HDG switches in the Hornet, as I map those into the DCS control settings, but being a "pulse" button it causes the switches in the cockpit to just flicker, and basically it is useless this way. With the F-16 everything is correct instead. Someone has this solved some way?

Any little and minimal movement in the stick rod, corresponds to a similar movement in the motor cog. So yes, it moves the gear right away. Anyway I will try to apply some grease. About the backlash with power off there is not backlash...with the power on and the spring effects activated there is some play around the center, and as written in the first post of this thread, if I leave the stick in does not center correctly in the Y axis
-
Those does not seem to be optical encoders. I dismounted it, and everything seems fine (the cogs are ok) Maybe it is the motor that has a little bit of play
-
Thanks for your reply, Anyway using simffb and trying the progressive trim option, i see that this way the stick is able to stay precise in 50%, so it seems it could also be a calibration option. But the software offer no option for calibration. Is there some alternative software which can be used for calibrating the axis?or that can keep the stick axis "trimmed" forever? About the sensors, they should be contacless sensors (hall?) similar to the ones in the Warthog. No pots for sure.

Good morning, I managed to buy an old g940 and I would like to mod it. But when arrived, applied the fred41 firmware and then I tested it. I saw that it has a sloppy feeling in the center, only for the Y axis, and the spring forces are never able to completely center the Y axis. If I pull the stick back and then release it, it centers at -2% (logitech control panel), if I push it forward and then release, it centers at +6/7% (always logitech control panel readings). But when used in game with non FBW aircraft this is not really an issue since the trim force (for heli, or F14/A10C etc) is able to keep it where i trim it, but if I use the F16 or the Hornet with it, it don't center correctly (with similar behaviour as seen in the control panel). So I would like to know if this behavior is normal, or I have some issues (for example a tooth of the gimbal cog is ruined). The sensors seems to be perfectly ok. If needed I can upload pictures of the control panel showing this behavior. Thanks everyone for taking the time to read this.

Well, reading the comments above by fred, I saw that the sensor should simulate to be active only when it is disconnected from the pcb, so I will try that when I can.

Hi, I would need the firmware which disable the deadman sensor as i have in mind a modding project similar to the one by the user above. I applied the latest custom firmware, but the sensor seem to be working. In the github code I see it should be disabled. Did I do something wrong, or do I need to change something? Thanks
