hi, all, wondering if anyone started to experience a stuck throttle in A8 mid flight. I.e. the throttle lever in the cockpit stops responding to the throttle position (Virpil throttle). The buttons on the throttle still work, the buttons on the base still work, and if I get in to Control Assignments I can see the throttle moves between min/max positions. However in cockpit it's stuck. Can't even move it with a mouse or any other keys... This behavior started pre last update. ??

reported already Freezing altimeter and speed indicator
peachmonkey replied to fdski's topic in Bugs and Problems
it definitely works (7th switch), it lights up the yellow bars when it's on. -
ah, finally a cockpit mod that passes the IC check for Anton! Thank you, sir! It looks very nicely done, kudos!

reported already Freezing altimeter and speed indicator
peachmonkey replied to fdski's topic in Bugs and Problems
it's been fixed 4-5 months ago, now it illuminates without ground power, in flight, on battery, etc. However, the pitot heating itself does not work in any ww2 model per my understanding. -
there's some quirkiness with the Mosquito fuses, specifically the operational side of the bomb panel (i.e. there are separate nose and tail fuse switches on it, and it seems that whichever you select it will arm both the nose and tail fuses on the bomb regardless of which switch you actually engaged) , maybe it's a bug or not fully developed. However, as far as the delayed fuses themselves, they've been implemented and working since 2022 I think, in all ww2 airframes.

DLAA and DLSS due to their upscaling nature screw up the target visibility at far/med distances. If you're using them try switching to MSAA instead. Otherwise it's all a matter of getting used to the scaling used in DCS.

Yeah, the new Dora D9 sounds are freaking awesome. It no longer sounds synthetic and changed to a smooth throaty mechanical action engine! Far Out! Now, let's do the similar kind of sound update for ANTON! It's a bit too buzzy right now and has very little bass..

it's great to see the west side fence of Dunkirk being much further away from the landing strip. On the Channel map it's so close to the strip it's a hazard.
-
it says "*New model with 4 digital rotary controls*" i.e. it's not analog axis.

those are all excellent questions for ED to answer. hi, @NineLine, can you possibly clarify the above? Is this a bug (since the option to arm nose or tail is only present in Mosquito) ?
-
you're supposed to use only 1 fuse, either tail or the nose one. Not both. If you're using the nose one then set the tail one as 'plugged' and vice versa.

fixed Landing gear collapses after repair
peachmonkey replied to BlackBaron46's topic in Bugs and Problems
someone on this forum found a 'work around', such as 1) use the ground crew to drain all fuel to 0%, and remove all ordinance (guns 0%) 2) request repair. Supposedly the bent gear doesn't happen with the reduced weight repair. -
it's a great mod, although it's sad that it breaks the IC check. For D9 there's a way to 'package' the cockpit into a 'mod' that is selectable via "Special" option as "custom cockpit", and it does not break any IC. Is there such a thing for A8's?

if you guys are going down this rabbit hole don't forget how they sunk Tirpitz in the fjords. There were direct hits, yes, but also quite a few that detonated close to the bow of the ship as well impacting the integrity/strength of the outside shell, which all of it contributed to Tirpitz capsizing. Talking about splash damage IN the water.

the wing tips look a bit too round for the 190. Might be an optical illusion though... -
Major update for Wolf Pack warbirds server!

there's some issues with the dedicated server performance, just FYI: -

this must be some very specific use case. I fly A8 in MP and SP all the time. If I get hit (by ground fire or air) the damage decals appear instantaneously. I noticed in your test you used a HUMVEE vehicle. Wasn't there a post somewhere that the modern weapons aren't exactly 'tuned' for DM of the war birds? Can you repeat the same test with ww2 half tracks and observe similar results? -
cannot reproduce the ai JU-88's pop like baloons
peachmonkey replied to peachmonkey's topic in Bugs and Problems
hi, @NineLine, I concur with you, I haven't observed this behavior for the past 6 months, so something was changed for the better. You can close this topic if needed, I'll re-open it if the issue comes back. cheers! -

it's applicable to ANY ww2 progress in DCS, not just DM. That being said ED did progress on DM a little bit, however it's only with the Mosquito. It's the only airframe that features the visual damage that corresponds to the bullet hits (not so sure about the flack explosions though). -
yup, experienced this exact situation couple of times in the past 6 months. The frustrating thing is once it starts there is absolutely NO way to stop it and the plane simply flips on its back in the end. @NineLine fyi, maybe the devs can finally look at this bizarre behavior?

the closer you get the stronger it becomes. -
yeah, ju-88 has the worst invincibility case, unless it's on-fire it will glide forever. You can't even kill the pilots/gunners in it, regardless the amount of led you unload into them.
