Hi, Updated and went to have a look a the marianas (looks awesome) however my screen twitches (hard to explain) every few seconds. Switched to another map and I have the same thing. Om my second screen I had a popup with a script not being run correctly (completely). Since it was on another screen than my DCS I gave it no thought. Now my game feels like it has a nervous twitch I wish I had. What can I do? is there some option I can run to check the files? IMG_3398.MOV ps. I don't use VR

I was doing a 2 vs 2 sidewinder (training) mission, you are about 15 miles apart, nose to nose. You just have time to turn on Chaff dispenser, select the sidewinder and you have tone!

Challenge with that is that before you learn the basics of how to use the weapons systems, you have to learn on how to use the mission editor They don't make it easy for use beginners

Hello, I was wondering, is there a document that has like the functionalities of both DDI's and the AMPCD? How to go to what screen and what options are available per page? Perhaps there is also a logic to how the functionality is added to the pages?

Lol, I had the same thing, I used pause, was setting DDI's in line with a video from Wagner and BOOM i was gone. I was hanging still but the enemy was not.

Ok... In my training I was to select small - small for drones. In a tutorial from the Grim Reapers they selected Medium - Medium. Where can you find the planes sizes? ps and from a practical point of view, if it is a BVR battle, how do you know what plane it is? Can you see that on your radar somewhere? Awacs will tell you?

hi, Thanks for the info. These are standard training missions with DCS so I will try and figure out if I can edit them or how :-). I thought boresight is radar too to help you track the enemy, I was thinking on going on tone/cage alone and try to fire more stealthy. So when going head to head. what range do you fire the Sidewinder M I do see him flaring a lot and that makes it hard to figure out he has launched. If you go head to head after firing your Sidewinder, where do you go? left, right, down, up, shooting flares all the time I assume? I don't use afterburing but his missiles don't need that to be spot on.

I had it too. Setting for throttle were pushed to my rudder pedals. And when I configured them back, 1 engine would turn off in idle.... But now I know this is the case, I will check with every update. I have Virpil stick, throttle and pedals, so that is A LOT of items to check.

Hi, I need help with the 2-2 sidewinder training missions. I know that the wingman menu to have him engage doesn't work so I am on my own. We go head to head but my missiles seem to miss, his don't! Since we are going head to head I have tried firing my missiles early to force him to maneuver and perhaps not fire. His rockets are mega accurate though. Anyone can help me with some pointers here? AoA, firing rage, radar type?

Hi, I got it working. I noticed that sometimes my configuration is not as it should be in DCS. I seem to have changing or even losing button mappings . Yesterday my rudder pedals were suddenly linked to my throttle :-(.

Hi, I am doing the 2 vs 2 sidewinder mission, and keep getting shot out of the sky. when I did F2, I don't my chaff (FWD)/flares (AFT) dispensing, I checked the buttons on my throttle and they seem to be correctly configured. what am i doing wrong?

I head about gremlin, do I have to configure my entire throttle to Gremlin? Or can I just do 6 x 5 buttons

Hi, I was thinking of setting B1-B6 buttons (depending on the 5 way switch) to activities on the ground. Specifically where you have to run though the F11 menu. Was thinking about: - rearm -refuel - permission to taxi or take off It would mean I have add a series of actions to 1 button like F11, F2, F3 etc for 1 action. Is that also possible?

Do you mean the 5 possible programs you have for ejecting chaff/flares? I only use 1 and 5 (set them to fwd/aft on one of the thumb buttons. I am really new so I think in structure not functionality and was thinking something along the line of assigning 6 button to: Ground related items Landing (land - carrier) A/A A/G Flight

Thanks.. I have seen the modifier option when I you add combo, but all I see there is shift, ctrl and such. How do you add pressing as a modifier? Or is it so simple (in the office now) that you click open the modifier options and when pressing the dial it automatically adds it?

Hi Maxpower, I have stolen many of your good ideas but 1 I am not able to get to work and that is E1 and E2 (the dials). I am perfectly able to turn them and to configure for the volume, but to press them and then being able to change the channel I can manage to do. Can you give me some pointers pls?

Hello, I saw that someone configure the radio buttons (E1 + E2), for volume and when he presses it, for moving channels up and down. I managed to do the volume, but when I want to combine press and turn to channels up and down, it is not registered in DCS. How can you do that?

Yes, I found this one, it is for the MC2 throttle, I have the CM3, did steel a lot of useful things of it though!

@LD01 Just curious, I too have this throttle and play DCS F/A-18C. How do you have the 5-way switch i.c.w. the 6 buttons configured? (do you also have the MongoosT Joystick?)

I am struggling with how to configure the 6 buttons (icw) with the 5 way button. I am thinking of doing: - Ground (+ Carrier depending on how much you need for either) - Landing - A/A - A/G - Nav. (just flying) I have done the cold start (pretty cool) but does anyone does that? Is it more common to make a hot start? I saw a configuration, where battery, crank engine (l&r) etc were mapped. Was wondering how often you do this.

Well I have got it, so I am committed Of course there is a personal preference, I was just hoping to sail along on the choices of experiences player to f.i. find a logical layout for the 6 buttons i.c.w. the 5 way button. I also haven't configured my Throttle buttons fully yet or the dials, buttons T5 - T7. loooooooooong ago I played EF2000/F22 by DiD owning TM throttle-stick. And you were able to upload configs for stick and throttle from other players. Really useful utility for people to get started quickly. As you gain more experience, you can decide to change some of the and save your personal version. We are now 30+ years down the road and I was hoping we were further along in that.
