hi, Is this the same training only for CV and with points so you can see how to improve? I would be scoring 0 on every mission (and never landing since I s*ck even on land to do it by the book). Or does the training verbally guide you through the actions?

Hi, Doing more and more training sessions and concerning weapon systems. And was wondering what you guys set up when going into a battle. I now have EWS on the left screen, ECM setting XMIT, setting dispenser op ON. Right screen I have Radar. Is that how you go into battle? Do you change ECM to REC when enemy is within xx(?) miles.

hello, I watched several items about trim and even though I manage to land my plane every time I don't use it. It's not that I don't know how to use it, it's just that I have no feeling with it. I know it's a balance between throttle and trim. Yesterday I did the training and trimmed some and played with the throttle but I have no clue what I am doing, basically I am still flying it in just with a trimmed plane. I see these people turning the plane, 3,5G or some 30degrees bank angle.. and they fly so smooth while I feel like a F1 driver trying to make the green boxes in the training mission. I do the HSI, TACAN, Course line. What do I do with the course line? Line it along the runway? Anyone have any pointers for a newby?

I have seen the mirror option in DCS. Does the real FA-18 have these mirrors? Or is it an 'game' option?

Hi, I was configuring my hotas and wanted to allocated a toggle switch for turning on the lights. Then I got confused by external lights vs taxi lights. What is the difference? ----- I have a switch which I have given 2 options, to fold wings and unfold wings. There are a lot of fold wing options for the FA-18. Which Can I use to fold -unfold?

when I fly flight with no hotas input other that my keyboard, this is already happening.

I fly without weapons, free flight. it's always left. @Foka @Hulkbust44 So that means you always have to trim your plane? till you fly level if all is in neutral? Really? when I look rctrl - enter, it is right in the middle. I checked for joystick and keyboard input.

I have this too, I first thought it was my Joystick. But today when changing some setting on my throttle, I logged in to free flight to check them (no joystick attacked) and my plane did the same thing. Every so slightly turn left. When I look at rctrl - enter, it's right in the middle.

Hi, My plane very slowly turns left in free flight I noticed yesterday. I was planning to recalibrate my joystick when I had to set some things for only my throttle. To check if that worked I went into DCS without a joystick, in free flight and my plane was also very slowly turning left without my joystick being attached. So now I am assuming it is not my joystick but somewhere in DCS??? Any way I can set/calibrate that in DCS?

Hi, My game is suddenly stuttering, I removed and reinstalled the game. But that didn't help. Then I noticed when I went into DCS and I had no peripherals connected my game didn't stutter. Now I added throttle and pedals and no stuttering until I add my Stick . I tested my stick with the Virpil software and see nothing strange when I move around, do nothing or press buttons. Anyone had this before? Suggestions?

I know you can display ground radar images there and such How to get that information on there. There is also not much on the AMPCD...

I had the same thing, Bought an A brand powered hub. But when I attached my throttle to it, it my PC kept pinging for new deviced attached, then removed, attached, removed. What worked for me (and I see you already tried that, I put my throttle and stick in a front USB-3.0 slot and the rudder pedals in a rear USB-3.0 slot. Only my TrackIR goes into the powered hub.

I have bitdefender. Game was stuttering, I didn't know what it was.. tried a repair and then a reinstall.. could not get the updater to reinstall DCS until I removed bitdefender. Now finally downloading... worries me that bitdefender influences DCS so much in such a simple thing as installing. Any idea how to completely shut bitdefender off? Followed some internet suggestion about turning off shield for 1 hr.. still would not install. Only thing that worked was deleting bitdefender

@hornblower793 Seems like I am jinxed, removed the version, installing 2.7 and now seems to stop downloading/unpacking. Stuck like this for several minutes now. When I try to stop the update, cancel won't work, my tas kmanager is not even able to kill this process wtf is going on here....

The OLD file doesn't have them? Which was created today too. My guess is that something went wrong while downloading the latest beta... I got an error of some sorts.. some script not running correctly It even flickers when I am in a mission but not yet flying If I reinstall DCS, will I lose all my throttle/graphic settings?

@hornblower793 STRIX 3080 Gaming, latest driver dcs.log dcs.log.old The old one was before the file deletion I think. Deleting the metashaders folder, are those the errors I am now getting? They are not there in the 'old' log (I will put those 2 folders back)

repair fast or slow no effect. Deleted FXO & metashaders2 folder, no effect.
