That would be nice -
I do assisted start up. Go through the warning stuff. He tells me to arms the injection seat. I do that. I say check. He says close the canopy. But it never happens

Syrian MiG29 doing CAS against ISIS forces. The Target area was some 70nm away, and looking at the nice fuelgage, it tells me I have 80nm range.. So a few kg of fuel to blow up stuff then bail out? Luckily once I was a at 25k feet and rolled the throttles down to about 80% and my range shot up for 60nm to around 180. I found the CCIP use very easy, the MiG-29 likes to put warheads to foreheads. The extreme low stamina from stores and fuel is what makes this not a great CAS aircraft. I already have fuel angst in the F-16, the MiG29 is twice as bad. I managed to get 3 attacks out of 2 rocket pods and 2 cluster bombs, as well as some strafing runs. I was only over the battlefield for 10 minutes, and in that time I got several hard kills on armor, infantry and soft skin vehicles, even took out a L39 that ISIS had captured. So she is effective. Just too bad you can’t even select 1 and 1 bomb or 1 and 1 rocket pod. -

And apparently English is used by Arab nations like Syria, thick American accents to boot. -
Indeed. In jets the pilot and back seater(if the jet had it) would always start the jets. And go through the checklist. What ground crew would do is start the jet now and then to align INS etc. Hence fast alignment/stored alignment being the standard start up procedure. But during WW2 things were different. While of course the pilot knew perfectly well how to start their fighter. The ground crew would usually start the aircraft some 15 minutes before take off. This was to warm up the engine and let the pilots get their coffee and food in them. The pilot would jump in. Do some last minute checks. The crew would top off the fuel and off the pilot went. (This specifically deals with Western allied airforces on plan missions. There would of course be variations depending on nation, aircraft and mission type.)

Can we get English cockpit with metric number?

First proper mission in the 29. Fighting some M2000s over Berlin. While I was hitting wrong buttons. Losing situational awareness etc. My wingman shot down 1 M2000 I was merged with. Then dodged a Fox 1, then a Fox 2. Before shooting down the second M2000. Oddly enough, my east German wingman insisted on only speaking in Russian. -

As I said. The only change i did was change the cloud settings. When I had overcast. The SAMs only fired when I flew below the cloud cover and then only at me and my wingman. When I removed the clouds cover. The SAMs started to spew out missiles at aircraft, HARMS and JSOWS. Same with the aircraft, as soon as I removed the clouds the HARMS flew away and I also saw JSOW impacts.

Regular one, not extended range (when did the extended range become avaliable?) I had a M2000 locked up. I was not very high or very fast(a bit under M.1, and around 20k feet. So I could only launch at around 12nm. I fired at around 10. The M2000 started to turn and i followed it. And my R27 gave up pretty quickly. And so far, that's my only radar launch I have. What's your longer lock on and hit with the R27?

It would be great if all aircraft with kneeboard. That you could edit it. From adding circles on the map to be able to write down new frequencies, 9-lines. Simply click the kneeboard with the mouse to be able to use the keyboard to write down stuff on blank pages. Or add symbols the map.

I've made a post about this before, but with the MIG 29 a new variation has shown up Now this is quite niche. But also can't see this aa being hard to implement For those of us that make vidoes. A nice feature is the ability to expand how far the F1 camera can move. To give high quality cockpit views of the pilot and also details like throttle. This is something ED uses themselves for vidoes and trailers. However even within ED made modules there is no commonality when it comes to the pilot head. In the F16 and F18 they seem to work the same. You can move the camera about and the head mostly stays on. In the upgraded F5 there is no head in the F1 view. So this trick simply can't be used. Now with the MiG29 a new variable has shown up. In the 29 if you move the camera forward and turn it back on the pilot it works fine. High resolution cockpit and pilot. However if you move the camera back to get a over the shoulder view. The head mostly disappear. Untill you move the camera out past the canopy then the head reappear. I assume this is all simply some limits ED has set. And those limits are set differently in different aircraft. So I'm requesting all aircraft (at least those made by ED) will have the same limits (like in the F16/18 as those work well)

Hooked up my new Super today, after not being satisfied with the CL after my Pimax OG crystal broke it's cable, the Super has the exact same problem as the CL with a clear "grid" over the lenses, But on top of that it's even worse, letters are blurry and has a "shadow" effect on them, even though the IPD is set to 58, like in the CL and OG, the eye tracking and foaved rendering is terrible, I'm constantly seeing flickering and low resolution always moving about even if I'm completely still, in the OG I had to really try and capture the eye tracking changes, but here it's very very obvious all the time, as move my eyes around in the cockpit in DCS, there a lot of flickering and what feels like shadows moving about. I've calibrated the eye tracking twice, with out any improvements. Constant movement and flickering even on still menu pages. in the OG there was a slight blurring effect in the peripheral view, and I had to work to see it, and any eye movement was smooth and nice. Making the eye tracking competently unusable, and just to make it worse, if I have eye tracking and foveated is rendering on, OBS won't record the headset(another problem I didn't have in the OG.) I've tried other VR games, and it's not right there either, blade and sorcery, only gets me to the start, but I don't get a menu to get further, I have fish eye lens feeling in several other vr games

I have to ask. Is the Trim on the MIG29 reversed from western aircraft? So trim forward goes nose up instead of nose down? Or is my FFB doing it(and I have to use FFB tune)?

MiG-29A Fulcrum Launch | DCS Update Summary

Love flying the MiG29. However it completely breaks any track I know tracks aren't a priority. But a shame they just get worse and worse -
Wheels stay down after take off on tracks, aircraft does all kinda weird things, even using a dedicated server doesn't seem to have any effect unlike in most other modules.

I made a mission on the CWG map a large battle, with lots of aircraft and SAMs The aircraft armed with HARMS never engage the SAMS, the SAMS don't fire at the aircraft flying straight over head. The air to air aircraft on both sides go into close range, and don't use their medium range missiles at their range. https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/168uW_IuhvLtu9xIcwtHKx3Jja8GWCn42?usp=sharing
