Nice to hear that. Now for the following step we also need Lods for Yak-52 and CEII. Not that anyone uses it actively but I see them as static background objects in missions made by ED or some other people unknowingly. Which hurts perf a lot. Edit: Sorry I forgot CEII is not from ED. I hope M3 guys will add it's lods together with missing Mig-21 Lods. -

Mirage F-1 has this setting. They added it to Apache after user requests so it has it too. -

Yep NS430. That bloody thing. You know what: That addon is actually much more useful than Supercarrier but it never worked correctly. Com's never implemented and the rest has always been wonky. They have re-coded something in it with MT and I was dreaming to get finally all bugs fixed but it came out being worse than before. If they fix it that's a great add on. Such a simple and very useful module in a flight simulator being so long unusable is crazy. Thanks for bumping the report. Sorry for nagging to you but I had to get this out.

Bump!. The situation is now worse than before MT release. The hit on FPS is way bigger and terrain mode is not working correctly. -

Flappy, is there a fix coming for this. I used to use that a lot with Mi-8, I have also bought it for Gazelle and it is just terrible. Not only hits the FPS and wacks the VR but also not working correctly.

It is really in a bad state. They have rebuild it for MT actually it was not working at all with the MT release. But the new version is not better than the old one. It had a few problems in caucasus but the new one is terrible. I don't think any function is working without flaws. It also hits FPS a lot and brings stutters when changing screens or booting. -
That rendering on the hud repeater looks like FLIR. Is it just a coincidence of too much contrast and lighting at that moment or is it a FLIR camera?

Read my post. That's always been the case. That's why I requested to add this to the in game settings otherwise I wouldn't bother asking it and set it in the file as 5. But it reverts to 0 the moment you click ingame settings button.

Good to hear it. I still haven't got chance to fly. But if some people have problems than it might be conflicting with some other setting. I would suspect "blur flat shadows" setting. Ultra shadows use set of 5 8K shadow maps instead of 4K that high setting uses. When smoothing is on it might use even more VRAM

It is not only the train smoke also white fluid leaking smoke trail in planes is like that. This is absolutely irritating in war birds since damaged plane should have a visible trail. It stops rendering at a distance around 100m or 200m. -

Yes it is not a big deal to change one value from 4 to 5 in a file. I don't need an app only to do that. The problem remains the same as @SkateZilla also says. After you launch the game. Any moment that you open the settings menu even to change the special options of a module or or even to navigate to controls setup it immediately overwrites your shadows setting and it is really annoying. If you need to restartt DCS each time with skatezilla or you shut it down change the options.lua and relaunch again.

Just try it yourself. You need a comparison video not comparison shots. It removes all nerveus interim low res dynamic shadows and flat shadows are pushed further back. You won't see much in screenshot. Especially in VR when you see all details it is day and night. It looks like completely another game in VR. It does not matter how you enforce it. The moment that in game you open settings menu ultra shadows immediately disabled. You can edit shadows lua and set high shadows with the same settings of ultra shadows but this breaks the IC pass.

Ah this post scraps Tacview. The way that HRM works as I understood might cause problems with Tacview but if it is not installed even than it's off the hook.
