He is talking about bloom. When you are at dark and outside immediate vicinity or further away is extremely bright and you focus head down in your cockpit your eyes adjust the focus point so outside the cockpit becomes extremely bright in your vision but you start seeing the cockpit. When you look up your eyes adjust to the high exposure area and cockpit becomes dark. Bloom when implemented simulates this look at MSFS ir IL-2. In DCS it is just a shader which adds halo around the bright object which smears it around the dark shadow area which also does the same thing at night in cockpit lights smearing it around with halos. So since it is not correctly implemented everyone especially in VR immediately turns that off. (watch all optimization videos every single one of them advises to turn that off)

Thanks for the link. It looks nice but I see there in the shop whole other nice stuff too. After DCS modules if I start this too I might need a very serious conversation with my wife.

I'm not sure it exists. Those were the times I heard that people were protesting it on the streets first time Renault used English in their cars for export or something like that. If you check the existing Cockpit photos of different versions you see that the base instruments are all in French but later added avionics are in English. May be towards the end of EA they might throw a non realistic full En cockpit or in a month time a user will make one.

Thanks You were right. I have removed all keybindings from NS430 and everything works now. Dear @uboats, I have NS430 module which I use only with MI-8. I have disabled all other modules in its settings. But apparently JF-17 is not on that list where you can enable or disable the NS430. It seems like if you cannot disable it explicitly it is enabled by default . And you cannot use any bindings that you used there in your module that you are flying. It does not give any conflict warning but it simply does not allow you to operate using those bindings. You should ask ED to add JF-17 to the list of the modules in NS430. I do not know how many people use it but it conflicts with your module. And there is no way of knowing it. Thanks to @Sacarino111who experienced the same thing before and informed me here. I did not try this but I'm almost 99% sure you are right. I have NS430 for Mi-8 and I use right mfd buttons which are not working right now for NS430. I'll check this but as far as can see only the buttons which I have not mapped there are working. I have ofcourse turned off that in all the modules months ago but probably when JEF is installed it enabled it. Controls tab does not show any conflicts. I could have never found this! thanks. I'll confirm this evening. But as I said I'm 99% sure you have found it.

It has been set just like that. ID1 and ID3 has not problems. I have promlem with ID2 on JF-17. The same one (ID-2) works flawlessly in any other module or other sim. Also I cen bind keys in the controls menu and when I press keys there I can see them highlighted on JF-17 too. Everything is working as it should work on controller side and DCS side. But it feels as if those are not wired in cockpit.

Dear, I have tired this many times. I have also reinstalled the mod. Tried repair. Deleted all files in game installation input map of JF-17. Tired full repair again. It reinstalled all files back. Nothing changes. I still have the same issue. My mfd controller works with any other module. Any other game. I can also see the key bindings highlighted when I test them in controls setup. Is there any other thing that I can try? Or is there a fix coming? Thanks and kindest regards,

Hi there, for the right mfd I do not see standard keyboard bindings. Thanks anyway may be I can put some keyboard bindings and that may do some trick.

Hey thanks, Unfortunately no change everything is exactly same. for left and center I had to redo the brightness contrast and symbology brightness settings again as I did before and all buttons are functioning there as before. (edit: This time I did not need to remap all the buttons on mfd3 they were already mapped but it is working with or without preset) Right MFD no change. I have mapped everything except on off switch. Here below the list of only working buttons on right MFD U 1, 3, 5 L 2, 4 R 2, 4 D none! And none of the adjustment buttons. It is very strange because I can map them and in the controls menu when I click those buttons I see them highlighted. I hope there is an easy fix.

here, my right mfd which is not working. Left and center mfd's work. For right mfd only some buttons work. For example U3 works and L2 also F16 MFD 2 {67527650-D520-11ec-8001-444553540000}.diff.lua

I have just bought the module I did the keybindings of all my 3 cougar mfd's in controls menu. Although main buttons were already mapped for right and left I have checked them also and corrected contrast and brightness mappings. But most of right mfd keybindings do not work. I have thrustmaster cougar mfd's. Left and center one works but for right mfd only 4 or 5 buttons in total are operational. I do not see the button in the cockpit moving. In controls menu everything is fine and buttons are all highlighted when I press them. I have no problems in Hornet, Harrier and F-16 or any other module where I have mapped right mfd buttons. Thanks in advance for solving this problem.

I believe it is happening because of dreaded old way of caching everything render ready for ram and VRAM. Now everyperson here uses DDR4 ram, PCI-E gen3 and SSD's so for a sitting simulator all assets can reliably loaded on time for render and windows 10 and 11 has already their way of caching (which you will see in your ram composition if you look closely during DCS running). This is at least my understanding about how things work in DCS. Everyone I asked to test this in reddid saw nothing but improvement. Please try this: n game set preload radius to 10,000. Go to graphics.lua in game config folder and open it with a text editor Find those lines in the almost at the beginning of the file Precaching = { around_camera = 50000; around_objects = 10000; around_types = {"world", "point"}; preload_types = {"map", "world", "mission"}; } change the two bold values with a 0 for each of them. This will stop game loading 50km of the game in full fidelity from you and also will stop loading the 10km surroundings of any objects in game (around any static active player or ai unit it is a lot of GB's) Let me know what your experience is after this setting.

investigating Instant blackout with very small negative G at high speed

I can easily see just before the black out your G meter is showing -2 check the first clip. f-86 has a tendency to go sudden nose down after a certain negative AOA due to the tail stabilizer being off plane with the wings. I think your stick is too sensitive you would like to put some heavy curves on it. ED probably modeled the real thing which was a heavy stick not easy to move. Just look at cockpit stick how less it moves for drastic maneuvers. Also operating parameters max negative g in roll is only -1 if this is something may be modeled wrong. I was not able to damage the plane in negative -2 G rolls. -

Hey many thanks for detailed information of state of development. I really want to have one of those roller coasters Gazelle or B0-105 whichever gets released with good enough FM first. According to that list it is better for me to wait for the fix to make my first impression with her. I hope this happens soon. Thanks again.

Hmm it's a pity that we need to wait so long for that. I'm not 100% sure but I believe Kiowa does not have a rigid rotor hub system. How it is going to help Gazelle to use that model to fix the issues mentioned in this topic? Anyway I'm just thinking out loud. I prefer to wait until an update is released. It takes another 6 months until the counter resets. Thanks for the info. It is nice to know that they are working on Gazelle.

Wow! I really would love to experience Gazelle. I have all the helicopters in DCS besides Gazelle, where my favorites are Mi-8 and Mi-24. I heard terrible things about gazelle and saw in game videos of some ufo behavior. After reading all of real pilots comments (I envy you all btw) has there been any corrections in the FM in last years? Thanks in advance.

It is not realistic he is aiming trees It is not realistic he is not reporting the picture and advising pilot for egress for firing solution It is not realistic that he fires on friendlies It is not realistic that you can jump to front seat and back in flight. I find this scope export as a special option better for realism than being able to change seats in flight. I never want to change seats and I do not want to use this after Petrovic gains the capabilities he needs above. But for interim solution and for new players learning the module it is a handy tool to have. It can be visible on top like George AI menu disc.

It is there already. But not activated. If someone knows how to use this instead of MSAA please tell me
