  3. I hope one day ED abandons this practice. If they are selling the product it is new. If I buy it now it will be the newest module for me. I hope they start seeing the big picture too. Anyway thanks for bumping it Flappie. I'm craving to buy the Sabre but those bugs I read and bitter taste of F-5 keeps me away from it. Still watching the bug reports. It is such a legendary airframe.
  4. I feel that both pitch and roll I see the stick has a dampening delay in game. I fly in VR so I'm quite sure about that. I move my stick and I see in game stick starts moving and keeps moving at a slover constant pace than my own joystick and comes to same state. If I jank my joystick, in game stick never does those abrupt moves. That's the only module where I see no 1-1 movement between joystick and in game stick. This behavior forces me to pull or roll further than needed do to the delay.
  5. This and rest of it 100% describes what happens. People who optimized the <profanity> out of their DCS to get the maximum possible on their current system get the worst blow. Like me they had to start all over again. The final result is you have to give up more fidelity and quality to achieve the same playable fps again with healthy margin.
  6. Since the fps drop in 2.8, i'm not using that mod any more. I'm still trying to recover from perf drop and I want to work on vanilla DCS while tuning so I'm not aware of if any update broke it.

  10. Dear @Raz_Specter Is this issue being worked on? The fps hit when splat textures start blending still exist it makes almost all finished area of map no fly zone for low level flights. Do we have a rough ETA? Otherwise I'll uninstall the map if the solution is months away or not being worked. Thanks in advance,

  13. I do not question functionality. I can perfectly read any hud or any cockpit in VR. Viggen has a perfect readability too. I mean this HUD is the only cockpit element I cannot read in all the modules I own (I own almost everyhing )
  14. Thanks @BIGNEWY, We have this problem on distant clouds since the introduction now. I have good deal of experience with watching them and how they react. Please transfer this info below about the problem to the team too it might give a clue of where to look for the problem: Juddering and shimmering looks like happening because of squire like alpha textures attached to the particle system reacting to head movement. They turn as you tilt your head left and right as if they are following your head. So while tilting your head to one side you see judder is doing this kind of things at distant cloud edges \\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\ you tilt your head more |||||||||||||||| and more //////////////. Finally there is a perfect tilt angle around 90 degrees that all shimmer is gone and clouds look perfect from nearby to all the way to horizon. I see that in dog fights when I'm turning on knife edge and tested this by tilting my head. I believe those textures should not be fixed to the camera tilt axis. If team finds the golden angle and fixes the texture coordinates as it is problem is solved. Kindest regards, Off topic: Thanks for the team for providing all missing LODs. It was not in changelog.   15. Mine works but I can reproduce this. If I ever use recenter function of oculus link interface with controller shortcut or through the clock menu of dash in that VR session I cannot use recenter in DCS anymore until I quit oculus link interface completely and restart it again. If you don't recenter there and start DCS you can keep on using DCS VR recenter function. Edit: Since august 2022 oculus.api is declared as legacy. There is no developer support anymore. So I believe we will get more and more problems in the future with each patch. end of 2020 oculus declared OpenXR as it's native api, in august 2021 they stopped development of oculus.api and they said in august 2022 they will stop developer support and move to legacy support. World moved to OpenXR. I hope we will see native OpenXR in DCS before we start losing functionality.

  19. It is a DCS engine problem. It cannot cope with splat textures when they start blending. Engine starts hyperventilating and CPU and GPU redlines causing massive FPS loss. Currently The Channel (mostly at and around the airfields and urban areas), Marianas almost entirely and SA (urban areas, airfields and handcrafted terrain) has this problem. Just stay away from maps that uses splat textures in VR. Pancake users feel that too but they do not need to puke because of FPS tanking.
  20. I can find it in benelux but only AIB cards. They are minimum 20% more expensive than FE and none of them fits in my case. God knows when there will be FE cards available. I guess (hope) after release of 4080 it will be better

  22. The only thing I'm wishing for at this moment is multi threaded engine, Vulkan and properly managed game assets with LODs. This is fundamental. Without it you will not have any resources for anything else than injecting a few more cosmetic shaders. ED should stop with anything that they can put on hold and build the engine as fast as possible that all those study level models deserve.
