  1. Does everyone here experiencing crashes have tacview?
  2. There is still no mention of this in the patch notes. Do you know anything about the progress on this subject @Flappie? You have bumped it but is it being worked on or waiting for a developer?
  3. Ah this explains most of it. I'll turn off SAS and never touch it until it gets fixed. I don't use pedals trimming. A far as I know (I don't know much btw) but gazelle did not have pedals trimming. I'll see where the auto slew is. That behaviour if launching abruptly feels a lot like fighting against the heading hold of Hind without using microswitch. Edit: I spent the whole day playing with it wildly. I got the hang of it. That engine issue from my first session never manifested itself again. That abrupt depart from ground is a glitch I believe in FM or SAS. I cannot tell. I have to ignore it and just continue taking her up ignoring that twitch it corrects itself without my input. If I react to that things go in roller coaster. I have watched a few more review videos and all of them have that abrupt depart in take off let's wait for update. BTW. I loved flying her. Circling in between trees almost driving on roads feels wonderful. I always wanted her but she was not a helicopter. Now she is. Here and there still see strange things happening but I'm not sure it is me or the flight model.
  4. Dear @Ramsay, I tired it with both models before and the weight issue was similar. it was a DCS session of 3 hours almost. Right after my post I flew another session for 2 hours and this time the weight issue was not there. It was just another helicopter. Weird things are happening since MT patches but this one was the weirdest. Anyway I still have issues with take off but I turned off autopilot channels and it is better now. I think I'm fighting against the AP since I don't know how it works in gazelle. All three channels work as stabilisation/dampening or is it like Russian helis like heading is hold and pitch and roll is dampening? Is there a microswitch like logic or whatever. It is time to read the f manual I guess. So far raw FM is ok. I feel her and she is nice
  5. Hi Guys, I'm not a Gazelle flyer. I have trialed the ufo flight model back in days a few times and gave it up as many others. Now I started my new trial today and I'm very pleased that she flies like a helicopter. I'm testing FM and basic guns and so nothing special. And to be sure that I'm not doing something wrong I start hot in clean mission. I have 2 things first the lift of is extremely abrupt. It's like suddenly a gremlin takes control when a skid left the ground but then it becomes controllable again. What's happening there? I can land her easily and smooth but take off is always abrupt and I cannot feel decent in it. As if when applying collective both skids are pulling a rubber band and one skid snaps. It feels like that. The biggest issue I have (I don't know may be it is like that IRL but I doubt that) engine feels incredibly weak or helicopter with 50-60% fuel and no weapons feels super heavy. I simply cannot gain altitude after ground is cleared it takes huge effort and patience engine is not happy with it. Gaining altitude and speed together after take off is almost impossible. After certain speed like 150kph that's no issue any more. So is there something I should look at. I tried this in normandy and Caucasus at sea level. at 20C. Maybe I'm doing something wrong? I tried paying attention to max load in ME. I see almost no difference in behavior in 100% payload and any lesser for this behavior.
  6. What is the situation of this bug now on ED side @Flappie? My experience is that now it is expanding. I have tried setting an empty mission to fly around in normandy and nevada and I cannot get the cockpit in english. Also the moving map is empty. I did fresh mission again but nothing changed. Tried different liveries but also no change.

  9. Thanks! Honestly, If my internet was ultra fast to download 500+GB DCS installation in 10 minutes. I would do a complete reinstall after each patch
  10. @jackill I solved it. I used nukes. Uninstalled both of them. Deleted everything related to both of them in saved games. Even deleted them from coremods. Run the repair. Reinstalled them both. Now they work normal. I would like to try again to make sure that it holds. But I think it is ok. thanks for confirming it was working ok with you I wouldn't be sure if it was on my side otherwise.
  11. I have no curves. Max input read 100% in raw. It is only those 2 planes which behave like that. I really don't know where else to look at
  12. Hey @Barthek, I have spent almost 4 hours today in Normandy with your mod. I cannot believe this is DCS. Normandy map now looks like MSFS scenery. Wonderful tuning. You should really touch Nevada too. Just like you did with Caucasus. Better quality and better color tone. Normandy now with your textures is the best looking map in DCS. Great work! Thanks
  13. Thanks. Very strange. I have meanwhile checked all my modules. I have exactly the same problem with Bf-109 too. Mustang, Jug, works normal. Spitfire and Bf-109 has this problem. And all other helicopters and jets works without a problem. I'm clueless. Really. If there is something wrong with my hardware settings it cannot effect only 2 modules. I checked both of them today again. Same behavior still.

There are astronomical seasons and meteorological seasons Astronomical seasons are based on earths real position around the sun and calibrated to equinoxes etc. Meteorological seasons are different and actually you learn meteorological seasons first in the elementary school or kindergarden Spring is March April May. Starts first of march and ends with 31st of May. I'm happy that ED got this right Strange but true.
  15. Would you try it once more. Setting object textures medium, terrain textures low and motion blur turned off and blur flat shadows turned off. Currently you have both textures high and motion blur turned on (motion blur is not working at this moment), blur flat shadows is also resource intensive on gpu (also on VRAM).

My DCS installation is above 500GB. Fresh reinstall would be a nightmare for me.
  17. @jackill, I forgot to update here. Nope, no auto rudder or take off assist in any module is on.
  18. That problem has been there since the release. You have the similar problem too in marianas. DCS is handling some splat textures ( or all of them) problematic. When underlying layers needs to be rendered fps goes for nose dive. You can indeed trigger it by slowly approaching to the ground when you get around that altitude. It is a game engine problem I believe razbam cannot do much about it and they don't want to comment on it even. They are focused on adding map object lods at this moment. It helped in urban areas but this issue still remains untouched.
  19. Sorry I missed it. It is not graphics lua. You need to go to the saved games folder. Under config folder there is options.lua. All in game graphics settings are listed there. Set shadows 5 there (in game high is 4) which will enable ultra shadows. But As I said the moment that you open settings menu in DCS (control setup or graphics setup , VR tab or special options) it will immediately overwrite this setting and you will revert to no shadows and without repeating this step you can never turn on ultra shadows again.
  20. Jesus! that can be. I have noticed that some settings are changed by themselves but did not check that one. NS430 was enabled by itself also for all modules also (which took me for a while to figure out why some of my keybindings were not working). Someone on Reddit had motion blur turned on by itself.... I'll check.
  21. I was on the ground and just trying controllers before take off. I have noticed that when I was pushing rudder right or left I can see the rudder pedals visually reach to max before I can max out the my rudder input. I looked at external view and rudder is also behaving visually exactly like that. So if I set my saturation 70% I can visually command the full range of rudder which gives me the precision I need. Since spitfire rudder is already super effective I cannot conclude in flight tests to see if more rudder gives more control input after visual limit modeled. It is the first time I noticed it so I don't know if this is an issue for an update. I'm running TPR rudders. No drivers or software in between. 70% saturation seems to give 100% input range even though controls in game show I only put 70% deflection. Visual model shows full range is utilized.
  22. My crashes occur when I turn off MSAA. I don't use msaa it does not smooth the clouds or transparencies looks horrible. I set in VR PD 1.5 while using max res of quest2. I get better frame rates than pd 1.0 msaa 4x I believe I have already sent around 20 autocrash reports. 3950x, 96GB 3200 RAM, 4090, Quest2, Win11 Pro
  23. I thought that was only in UI layer i did not know per modules specific setting was possible. Can you ask devs to extend this keybindings to the views. I hate to rebind F10 map f2 external view, weapon view etc per module. VR only player here using only hotas (no keyboard)
  24. Dear ED, Can you please enable in game graphics settings, "ultra" setting for the shadows. It works wonderful and it is not a secret that DCS uses immense VRAM so there is no reason to be shy about applying 8K cascade shadow maps. They look awesome in VR. I have been using them since I had my hands on 4090. But anytime I change in game a graphics setting shadows revert back to off. And I had to restart DCS with correct options lua again. Please do it. It does not even need coding. Just add it to the existing pull down menu. Thanks!.
