Ranger79 Base Objects Pack (Hesco's + others)
Snoopy replied to Ranger79's topic in Static/AI Mods for DCS World
You act like becoming an official 3rd party is easy. Specific to the 476th range objects, we’ve talked a couple times about looking into making them official but at the same time we want to retain complete control and keep the mod free to the community. Just a simple message from ED to the community in a news letter stating something alone the lines of “with the release of DCS World X.X.X 3d models will be required to be compiled with XYZ” would allow the community to update or acknowledge the fact the mod will no longer work. Communication is key. -
Since I haven't gotten any response about my offer to help here are some images of what the Hardened Shelters should look like at Incirlik AB, Turkey: Golf Loop (fit F-16, Mirage size aircraft): Hotel & India Loops (fit A-10, F-15 size aircraft):

Ranger79 Base Objects Pack (Hesco's + others)

Y’all can’t expect ED to be responsible for unofficial mods that the original designer doesn’t support. I used a lot of these mods too but it’s a risk I took knowing that they eventually may not work. -
Awesome, really appreciate this!

Thanks! We need some desert camo tents, US ground forces, and terrorist/insurgent vehicles. Appreciate what you’re doing to help!!!

Currently our Range Objects mod isn't working, we'll troubleshoot and hopefully get them working again. Unfortunately ED doesn't share any information to anyone that isn't an approved 3rd party so hopefully we can figure it out. If not IMO it will make the NTTR map utterly useless. IMO it's hard to call something the DCS: Nevada Test and Training Range Map without the community mod to realistically populate said ranges.

476th Range Objects Mod

We’re aware and will attempt to fix. Unfortunately ED doesn't share any information to anyone that isn't an approved 3rd party so hopefully we can figure it out. The external engine sound is terrible now, it sounds nothing like a real A-10.

Same here but that’s a chance we take when we use mods and even more so when the mod basically hasn’t been supported in years. -
Spent most of the day working on the UAE/Oman FLIP. Below is the updated Table on Contents, UAE & Oman QRL, and Al Dhafra APD updated with what ED finalized with the release of the PG map. Hopefully will have this completed and available to the public before the end of June.

It looked to me like Incirlik AB isn’t modeled correctly. Especially the Golf, Hotel and India loops

Now y’all understand why I don’t post much anymore especially concerning the A-10C. ;)

Normandy map NOT included in VR improvements
Snoopy replied to philstyle's topic in DCS: Normandy 1944
It being a 3rd party created map it would be up to them to update/fix not ED -
All the disappearing features in less than a week from when the preorder window is going to open isn’t good business IMO. You would think these things would have been worked out and decided earlier. I had planned on preordering first thing when available but I’ll wait now.

Probably not, we’re doing a much smaller FLIP internally that wouldn’t include all the charts (Al Dhafra and Al Minhad). Not to mention the time it takes to make these because unlike Nevada where all the charts are publicly available and only had to be updated for DCS values PG airfield charts are not available.
-
Wanting to and actively trying to get those manuals are two different things. ITAR restrictions are no joking matter.
-
Actually we didn't make those, we have our own but IIRC JaBog made the ones for the Caucasus.
-
I did one but it I removed it from the 476th downloads section when the new models were introduced.
-
ED has never made charts to go along with the maps. Everything that’s included was either made by the community and added by ED (Caucasus) or real world (NTTR). Charts for the PG area aren’t easily acquired through google so unless a community members creates, and agrees to let ED include them it ain’t gonna happen.

Syrian and Afghan theatre of operations confirmed!
Snoopy replied to WHOGX5's topic in Bugs and Problems
Sorry but can’t take Wikipedia references seriously. Eddie didn’t say it was the ONLY base but it is in fact one of the important bases. -
I was going to do another repaint mod based on various training mavs at Moody for the new models but can seem to get motivated.
