  1. When you save the file it talks about features only available in CS6 and above. And recommend you use that to open. I assume it has the more advance stuff in the way layers interact.
  2. BC7 fine linear (not sRGB)
  3. @Cobra, I've Just noticed it and I'll try and fix it on my skin, However the helmet visor knob position is wrong. the Visor is down, however the locking screw for it (the butterfly knob) is in the "visor Up" position, with visor down the knob is down in the groove.
  4. For us novices. Is there a tutorial explaining what is the roughtmet and how to create it properly?
  5. Both and in addition it calls out for: christmascardII Old London ForsvarsmaktenSans Stencil DIN 1451 Engschrift Regular whateverittakes Bold gunplay-regular DIN Alternate Bold DIN Alternate and more.... most of them are probably only used in one specific livery.. and not required at all.. but it's just a partial list
  6. @cobra, could you please add to the readme a full list of all the fonts used? I'm downloading them as I open files, but it would be nice to get a list :) it's a large amount of fonts after all.. and where are the helmet templates? can't seem to find them.
  7. I won't be surprised if the package of all textures is well in the 2GB range. (compressed)
  8. power of will shalt push those packets faster :) if not, summon some Elfs :)
  9. also begs the question, if it's a terrain engine issue, why do the terrains themselves need an update. and if the issue in the terrain was so deeply embedded that it require the terrains to be fixed, doesn't that mean that also flat screeners should have some benefit? My un-educated guess is that the bug was somewhere in the relm of "multiple view ports" (when you need to render the terrain more then once). which is the case for VR (two almost identical high res view ports) but also in other things like TGP or Mirrors which are present in flatland as well
  10. what about just mapping the ingame comms and use the mouse to select the radio options of now? I usually just do that..
  11. Sometimes (not specific for F-14) fuel usage may exceed max fuel transfer speed from external tanks. In this case, aircraft will use internal tanks. In fact, it always uses internal tanks, it's just that the externals keep topping off the internals. In some cases, IRL, it was even more extream. The engine is always fed from small engine tanks in the fuselage, they are fed from the fuselage tanks which in turn are fed from the wing tanks (fed from externals). In some aircraft, without the fuel pumps the engine will drain it's feed tanks in AB. The MIII was like this, so is the F-16.
  12. How are you solving the click to extend on the lever and cover?
  13. Shakiness on CV is a problem, I'm in VR, and always push my Chauffeur to rush the startup so I won't puke.. But after enduring this, I've yet to experience anything wierd landing back on the deck or on land.
  14. It happens to me almost every time I start a mission. However, after calling an option via keyboard commands mouse becomes available again.
  15. I'm not finiliar with the inner workings of DCS but in the "other military sim" each missile FM contains a baked range table, for altitude vs Mach pre calculated for a stationary target by the creator of the missile FM. The OMS code then needs just to read this table, calculate closure rate into these numbers and presto, consistent DLZ accross all modules. If ED works like this, once a missile is updated, all the modules automatically have the correct DLZ data to display.
  16. I'm looking at it from a different perspective then you, I don't care that the missile is not modeled correctly and ED should fix it. I want my Range markers to show me than current missile kinematic envalope. Let it be Rmax for 5nm for all I care. But the fact that the aircraft is "lying" to you is a problem. It shows you what the envalope Should be rather then what it is. I want to know how useless the missile is, not guesstimate how bad it will function compared to what the AC shows me.
  17. I've flown an MP session with a friend yesterday, we had done several engagements against none manuvering targets. I'm no expert, but AFAIK Rmax (Soviet R1) indicate maximum range against a none manuvering target. Ie. If I shoot at Rmax, and target does nothing, missile will hit. We have fired 7M at such a target on Rmax indicator, launch was about 30nm (P-STT) , HO with about 1000kts closure. The missile ran out of steam at about 15nm. It left the rail, accelerated to M2.0 (we were 0.9) and just crapped out.
  18. That happens when the HMD is not tracking in 6 DOF. Look around the room, looking at features you know are there. When it locks, it will jump, and you will need to reset the center.
  19. It jumps with no WOW, so maybe a desync issue?
  20. AFAIK, the red filters are there to not hemper pilot's night vision (not NVG, just your eyes getting used to the dark). Remember that NVGs were never widly used back in the day, and never existed in their current form in the 70s and 80s and most of the 90s.
  21. RIO pit. XMIT UHF1 else XMIT UHF2 ( and inverted) and XMIT UHF1 else BOTH. and XMIT UHF2 else BOTH (as we don't have BOTH - I'm not sure it's needed right now) Also along these lines Modulation AM else FM and other way around... I have a bunch of switches on the WH throttle I'm trying to use :)
  22. I know it's stupid. But VR controllers show up as hands in VR if enabled. If it could be shared between pits it'll be awesome. It is probably a DCS feature, so it's not possible. But think about the possibilities :) Once it's "out there", it can be a LOD thing. So in close formation, hand signals would be an option.
  23. Haven't touched my x52 in over 5 years, But I do remember this problem from Open falcon (yeah.. that old one). Anyways, back way then, it would not get CTRL keybindings. I would have programed a Macro. Putting key down and key up in the correct order. I.e KeyDown CTRL, Arrow. KeyUp Arrow, CTRL. Probably not related and foxed in software, but worth try
