Not doing any collision detection on your head movement is the best way to reduce motion sickness. If you move your head and the view stops at some arbitrary position which isn't where your head is, the desync is very very problematic and breaks immersion if not worst.

When a game drops below a set number of FPS steamVR will drop you out to the gray room to avoid nausia. That means that you FPS is not great... Try the VR performance mod See if that helps. What is your PD and supersample values on SteamVR?

There is a "flood mode" in some radars. It will CW a cone rather then a target, so multiple missiles can track multiple targets, however, usually in this mode, the missiles lock on to the strongest return, gain or dopler, I don't know, guess it's missle dependent, but then all the missiles will probably lock on to the same target.

Lower water to medium and try dropping some of the AA x16 is alot. When water are set to high, it enables reflection, requiring an additional dynamic texture to de rendered. It had a massive.impact when I last tested it. Dropped from 45 to 24... In addition, I run Vive on a 1080 and I get somewhat better FPS (when playing offline). As for the CPU shouldn't the 9900k be able to boost to 5.0 by it's own? Make sure you have "sync all cores" enabled in BIOS it helps too. As for PD vs steamVR SS. 225% in Stream = PD 1.5 in dcs As steam is width and height while PD is diagonal. So you can try 225 and 1.0 as well. -

Of course It has an ICS.. Donno about key bindings, but from what I read all navy two seaters ICS can either be hot mic Or ptt. Where in PTT pilot had a button on the stick PR the throttle (my guess right next to the radio ptt). And RIO/BN has a foot switch. Ohh.. and it was stated in the past, that the cat's ICS is already integrated into SRS. I just hope that Viacom will integrate Jetster as well :)

GT will maintain Ground Track. If HDG maintain heading with compass. The GT maintains heading over ground using INS data. Analoge to this is the difference between "True airspeed" and "ground speed".

+1 A preview copy is in HB hands, they should do as they see fit. And having people asking some perticular group to get it. When the person is giving the sense he is part of the group it just looks bad! It's feels like:

set pixel density in the VR settings to 1.5, your card can handle it, the graphics settings are not lined to the resolution. However start with "VR" preset and tweak afterwards.

WOOT? No, they just dazzeled us with the 2.5 hype train. They pushed out 2.5 so you'll have something shiny and you won't notice the bug drifting. HB can't. And they bug hype train had not stopped. Every week wags puts out another video showcasing another small Gizmo they got working... They are 6 months into EA and the feature list is no where near complete. You won't see HB doing that, because they can't afford doing it. But hey, as long as we will all be happy campers in a cat, who cares? :) And no, I didn't get the bug not in pre-order not anything else. I've decided to save my moneys for the cat. And HB will get even more of it if the A-6 will end up real.

All this complaining... I don't remember anyone saying a word on Hornet Preorder starting on January and EA hitting late May. Pre-order, last year's gift cards, All of those are HB's valid ways to get some funding while still working on a delayed module. All this is a trust based system. You trust them now with your money, because you believe they will deliver a quality product. There is no gain like investing in a company, nor the risk is very large. But if you don't trust the publisher to make the product "trustworthy" Don't put your money there. And if you did, STFU and show that trust. HB has earned mine, they are very very open and communicative as far as their progress and more important challenges.

other option is to use a free aircraft (say TF-51) you record a track and he replays it in VR, he can then take control of the view

I have Trackball a kneeboard on my left leg on long flights.for "normal stuff" grabbing my normal "mouse" (also a trackball) and keyboard (peeping with the nose gap) is good enoght

this is the correct way to go. Personally, I have a 3d printed modified detent in my WH, that let's you push into the AB range without lifting anything -

yes and no. there is a problem when you upgrade from 1.5 to 2.5. it looks overexposed and unnatural. (i.e not as intended). deleting metashaders fixes it. it's a very specific issue, and not a generic "rant" like most of the time.

thosee numbers are correct. PD is measured as a ration on the diagonal. which SteamVR SuperSampling is measured as percentage on the height and width. so PD 1.5 = 225% in SteamVR as for why OP is swing None native RES in 100%.. I have no idea. However, please note that there are two sliders for SS in SteamVR. one is "per app" the other is global and usually set automatically. unless you tell it otherwise. that might be the extra res you are seeing it's under "Video" -
something has changed for sure in the last few weeks, it's a lot easier to maintain visual contact with aerial targets. I can't quantify it, but it's just there I'll try and re-run my benchmark track and compare.
