Flying "Iron Hand" with an A-6E would be awesome! at the end of it's carrier, it was a very capable stand-off capabilities.. AGM-84 family (Harpoons and SLAMs), AGM-88s, AGM-62s and many more :)

Why disable turbo boost? From my experience, it's not the TB which is the fault, it's the fact that your system only ramps up a core after it's under load. The DCS thread (like any other) will jump from core to core, causing a low freq core to run the thread, by the time the system ramps up, the thread jumps again. To really solve this you should enable "sync all cores" in the BIOS. It should be Available in most mid-tier+ mobos. This will cause the firmware to bump all the cores up to Max boost, once a single core is boosted. This way, when the thread jumps, the core is already ramped up. Disabling TB will probably give you less performance then tuned TB, because you loose about 20% performance per core if not more.

And clear out the metashaders..

Is there a way to control on which Display the mirror will go to? I already have a portrait display that I can bump up to 4K, I'd haate to rotate my main display all the time.

Just adding up on what Viff wrote in post #40. Cyrano of the CJ was so unreliable that it was often not even turned on, As it would usually malfuntion and feed incorrect range to the gunsight. Later in it's service life of the CJ in the IAF radar was removed to be replaced with a ballast and in later years a simple telemeter (such as the one installed on the MV/Nesher). IAF never did use The 550. It was deemed too restrictive, mostly due to launch contraints and the radar faliure rates. For years the IAF flew the CJs with 3 tanks. Then later with 3 tanks + 2*heaters. (Shafrir 1 initially for a short period, then Shafrir 2 and Aim-9D).oddly enough IAF CJ pilots in 73, preferred the S2 over the 9D despite the fact is was heavier and had more drag. CJ was also briefly was seen in Alert duties with AA-2 missiles. As the IAF found large stocks of them in 67 and they were more reliable then the Shafrir 1 (which were notorious for "dropping like a bidon", external fuel tank in french)

In theory you can push the rift up to PD1.5 on a single 1080. I assume that SLI is not a perfect scale, but should allow you to bump up to PD1.7 I won't go above due to shrinking visibility ranges. other then that, you should be fine.

The 14 has two radios, one is controlled by the pilot the other by the RIO. Usually the RIO coordinates with the controllers, AWACS and other theater assets. While the pilot has the other radio of intraflight stuff. So in theroty you should have one normal radio and one "easy comms" radio (unless you have a human RIO)

I would rather see a dedicated coop campaign then play anything on an open server. Personally, I dislike the "Wild west" atmosphere inherited to all DCS public servers. However, if someone will create an SP/MP campagin, where you can do a structured story line either with a buddy as pilot/RIO with AI wingmen. or as 4 men team, manning up a pair it would sell big time IMHO.

Thay have stated that it will be available, Howerver, Unlike SP, you would not be able to "pop on the back seat for a second".

Mavs have a builtin loft profile. They always pull up and accelerate going higher. They peak at about M1.6 and glide from there.

M2k radar screen has some small font text and it's readable with the correct settings (PD and such). Besides, you can always "UI Zoom" suspected smears on the scope.
