Why disable turbo boost?
From my experience, it's not the TB which is the fault, it's the fact that your system only ramps up a core after it's under load.
The DCS thread (like any other) will jump from core to core, causing a low freq core to run the thread, by the time the system ramps up, the thread jumps again.
To really solve this you should enable "sync all cores" in the BIOS. It should be Available in most mid-tier+ mobos. This will cause the firmware to bump all the cores up to Max boost, once a single core is boosted. This way, when the thread jumps, the core is already ramped up.
Disabling TB will probably give you less performance then tuned TB, because you loose about 20% performance per core if not more.
