  1. How about "threshold" marking on the throttle curve? where AB kicks in and where the cut-off is (must have threshold cutoff for all the pit builders). (Axis cutoff as a special option would be excellent) It will help fine tune the curve. we park the throttle in IDLE and tune the curve to be just above the cutoff. then do the same to MIL. it will be helpfull for all aircrafts of course, not just viper.

  3. Usually your INS craps out, and the aircraft develops a tendency to roll or pitch Due to "airframe bending"
  4. Any guesstimations on the COOP version of the campaign? I've go a version for server use (restart, Next mission, prev mission in cooms menu). but the official version would be preferable.
  5. I recommend you look into Trackball and a kneeboard as an option for controls. I got a 35$ trackball and 11$ kneeboard and I'm uesing that most of the time. however, left handed trackball operation is something you have to dial in your brain. I still take my hand off the stick to the mouse on the right side. (have both)
  6. That makes sense.. I'm doing 224% in SteamVR, and PD1.0 in DCS. But I expected FPS to go down if render target size has been increased... However my frame rate only went up. I guess that DCS VR optimization thing that they stopped talking about.
  7. I fly exclusively in VR, and I havn't flown for a while due to life. Last week I went for a quick sortie with a friend (COOP enabled CTB campaign). I sat in the RIO seat and suddenly I was able to read everything.. the Weapon selector drum was most noticible, because I suddenly was able to read it (with VR zoom). Nothing has changed on my end in months. same HMD (vive) same settings in SteamVR and in the Game. But the change was very noticeable for me. But I saw no such thing mentioned in the CL.

  9. When I fly with my buddies, RIO does all the external comms (PLT breaks in if he needs something). and InterFormation comms is all PLT (unless RIO has something interesting to say). this is because RIO only has one PTT (without fiddling with switches, while PLT can Xmit on both)

  11. If implemented properly it's not "cheating". Besides, padlock has it's own disadvantages as far as limiting your spaceial orientation. (You are pretty much limited to put on lift vector and pull) Let the padlock people padlock. And let server admins disable it if they wanna. But it should be working.
  12. If it uploads correctly it will say "pending approval". If it's not there at all (under your files) it means something is not correct. I had the same problem, check the pictures you are attaching. They are usually too large.

  15. Is it just me? Or having the ability to join a server and not.be able.to use the carrier is even worst then not being able to join at all? What happens if I want to RIO a cat? And the other guy has the module.and want to use it? What happens if a battle group.has two carriers, because from now it has to have two, And I land on the wrong one by accident?
  16. 1. if the jet lost both wings it should not be rolling at all.. just falling. one wing loss should have induce a roll, and the remaining control surfaces should be able to mitigate that roll. the Cat is capable of landing in full asymmetric wing config. so it should be able to fly with only one wing for a while (assuming other control surfaces work) 2. physically speaking speed change should only affect your rate of change of the roll. for example if you have a roll rate already built up, it should be the same unless you counter it. and how much you can counter it changes with speed (and number of active control surfaces). Only other thing that might affect roll in the 'Cat is moment of inertia change as the wings move forward which should slow the roll rate, but if you only have one wing. it will also increase the lift from that side. increasing the roll rate. who all this is modeled in the game, I have no Idea I have no Idea about 3
  17. is the campaign SP only by default? (i.e do I need to change "player" to "Client" to be able to Coop it?)
  18. Hi guys, I flew the bear interception mission last night, I joined up on the bomber, with cool music in the background. I've done the intercept with both mine and the wingman's radar on silent. I moved around it, and when I was off his right wingtip, The bear made a hard turn right (into me), popped a few flares and fired the rear gun at me. (Jester called hits on my left wing - and post mission log confirmed he fired) I immediately when medieval on him. as soon as he was down I got "bear GTFO - well done" suggesting I was not meant to shoot him down at this point in time (I did adhered to ROE I must say). is it just because I was in his way as he reached a waypoint or something? or did it go as intended. if the first, could the mission briefing inclue the "proper intercept formation"? I have no TRK only ACMI if needed.

  20. my OB Dedicated server update had 36GB.. so... And when I got home, my rig update was less then 3GB for OB to OB update

  22. Some ANG ADV variants and some specific block 32 aircraft had AIM-7s. But in general, F-16s are stricktly Heaters and slammers.

  24. Dem greedy mo's.. Will they try and capitalize on everything?!? I can understand their buissness POV, but really? But locking base features is just annoying... What's next? DLC for taxiways?!? It is in their best interest to make awesome carrier OPS to sell carrier born aircraft! Not the boat...
