  1. Is it just the 7s that don't work? Or do the 54 and 9 also affected?
  2. thank you @hyzwar for this tip.. much faster then opening every file in the moose library :)
  3. I normally suggest you find a friend with VR and experience it. But that's out the door right now. The reason I say that is that VR is something you cannot experience from videos. If you try and watch a recording of someone in VR you can really understand what he sees. The point of VR is the depth it's the sense of scale. Which does not exist at all in Flatlandia. I can only offer one thing. It's a 3+ years old clip i made for my quadron mates. Just to get the hang of VR. It is ment to be viewed with google cardboard. (Or similar type gizmos). It is not representative of current DCS visual quality (which has been improved greatly). Nor the FOV of an actual VR goggle (video is much wider FOV). Nor it is indicitive of my current level of flying... Nor sure I'm much better, but I'm not that ;) this video was ment only to show the 3d ness of VR. Word of causion. It will make you nauseous. Because you will see the POV move, while your head is still (this doesn't happen of you actually wear the headset). I'm with VIve on 8700K w/GTX1080. I've also did quite a bit on rifs S on 8700(nonK) w/1070. VR is more demanding then Screen. But with the right settings (VR preset with shadows off) even a 1070 is fair game.
  4. That is the bug :) S-75 and S-125 are powered over their entire flight. Once the engine is out the missile is out. At leaset that is according to all the documentation I found. It's all available online in russian sites most of the ducuments there are the original soviet manuals. S-125 is solid propellent on both stages. S-75 (all missile models) are Solid booster and hypogolic sustainer. (Orange nasty stuff.. also in scuds)
  5. Same applies to S-125 (sa3). Both missiles should have their engine all the way to flight termination. I've watched SA-3 go up after me, started to manuver and the smoke trail disappeared. I assumed it finished it's burn time (45ish secs IIRC) and at that pint it should be a dummy rocket (can rememeber if it is supposed to SD). Anyway, it continued to track oviusly. And hit me.
  6. I assume you have an oculus and it launches it with it automatically? You can either add a flag (i dont remember which) to disable VR. Or.ypu can try and use Skillzilla's launcher. It has VR off button..
  7. Have you set MSL Prep at least a minute before launch And Hud in AA mode?
  8. I would rather see them take the HB way. Near completed and actually fun.
  9. BMS team is slightly different then most Dev teams, they act as a collective, and they do what they love on their spare time. (there is an interview Jabbers did with one of the BMS devs recently). Regardless, He is indeed one of the lead coders of BMS, and I'm sure he and the entire Grit team will do a fantastic job on the EF. can't wait to see what comes out from this team :)
  10. Memory is Cheap these days, if your budget allows 32Gb. try to squeeze it in. (3200-3600 mhz sticks are the current sweetspot)
  11. For us ot seems that the trigger of the problems was someone strapping to the catapult. AI or human. When an AI tried, we all so him hover in the air and server hung. After a restart, i tried to strap in (different mission differet theater. It took me a few presses on the U key (even though i was lined up perfectly). Once strapped, the other two saw me buried in the deck. Tried to lauch and see if that frees it.. but mission did not accept my launch cue (i was in the 'cat).
  12. Should be 2(o) & 8© seconds (ish) IIRC.
  13. I use OBS. There is a steamvr plugin you should try out. It allows you to record the SteamVR buffer rather then the DCS on screen window. https://github.com/baffler/OBS-OpenVR-Input-Plugin
  14. Speed breaks and put on some AOA. This is a feature of all F100 engines. It's the same in the f15 and F16. Furthermore, it was a rule on many older jets, you shouldn't go lower then MIL when supersonic.
  15. Ehhm... Oops... https://theaviationgeekclub.com/story-f-14-pilot-able-land-tomcat-without-canopy-rio-erroneously-bailed/
  16. two things to take into consideration. first, Windows 10 is much more efficient in RAM caching. it will use RAM to preload stuff or hold things it loads preiodicly and keeps them in RAM for the next time. it will release it if an application needs the space. you can see exactly how much of the memory is used for cache in "task manager" under memory section in "preformance" tab. your CPU and memory are enough for windows of any flavor. on the other hand..... GT710 is a very very weak card. here is a comparison to a modern 150ish USD video card. https://gpu.userbenchmark.com/Compare/Nvidia-GeForce-GT-710-vs-Nvidia-GTX-1650S-Super/m77649vs4058 I'm not going to push you into purchases, your money your decision. but it's just here to show you how much better performance you can get for your money. I'm pretty sure you can grab "old" GTX1050 or 1050Ti from the "outlet" shelves or find a used card somewhere for probably half that price. you can probably get even stronger cards for under 200USD in Xmas sales and stuff like that.
  17. if you ask me it should be use configurable for a long push. but I'm fine with first button eject. IRL it's NOT on the HOTAS. and the travel to actuate is fairly large. so a long press should be a good compromise to allow that.
  18. If I understood Victory correctly. The acceleration from the catapult will put the stick full back if it's not held (as seen in the photos). As soon as you are free of the cat the stick will jump forward (as the acceleration stops) and will return to near neutral position. In DCS we have none of these forces, so if trimmed for takeoff, just leave the stick neutral, it will be fine :) I'm actually finding myself needing to slightly push fwd most of the time. Keeping the nose at around the +8 Deg
  19. never tried. but how about launching the updater in a script before bringing up the server. I'm sure there is a flag to supress all user inputs.
  20. WTF!? I read it twice on release day and didn't see it. Either I'm going stupid, or something else is at play. And I remember reading both the 300Gal and FCR cursor jump items for sure. Pretty sure I saw the SAI line. But I don't remember the ANT. I I read it twice Because I was looking for any notes on the ANT or EEGS.
  21. I wish their CL will be more consistent. Telling us that they fixed the slap switch, or that the radar cursor is now drawn above the target rather then underneath doesn't seem more important then fixing a fundamental bug in the radar controls...
  22. Is it still.not working correctly after the nov27 update? I haven't looked in it for a while?
  23. You use an axis for ANT ELEV? Current modeling of ant elev is not correct. It's for spring loaded rotery (like the hornet). So as long as you are not centered, it'll move. It took me a few tries to make sure it's not a problem with my throttle.
