There is a list of modifiers set up by default CTRL, ALT, SHIFT etc. You can add a modifier yourself, for example a pinky switch on a stick or a toggle on the throttle. For example, if you have a toggle on the throttle, you can use it a modifier, having it off for AA and on for AG and set accordingly

It has 4 jest, you decribed 3. Regardless, AFAIK, anything carried in the tunnel has significantly less drag then having it wing mounted. However most Sims only allow for a single drag value. So as a compremise, drag for that weapon is usually avaraged between all the carry points. So I assume the drag of the AIM-54 while carried is very low (it's usually carried only in the tunnel). After launch, the missile FM kicks in and the drag while in flight is "as intended" (I'm avoiding "correct" intentionally). So the drag of a carried Aim-9 or an AIM-7 is significantly larger, because it's carried on multiple aircraft, and it's one size fits all in most of these cases.

I think you can... (SP missions) try editing the mission, and move the "Player" to anything other the the flight lead.

Keeping you attached to the physical movement is what prevents motion sickness.. once you detach from it, i.e stop the movement on a virtual berrier, it might make a mess...

F-14B + TM Warthog Throttle: start engine by moving out of detent?
uri_ba replied to bumblebomb's topic in Thrustmaster
It works just as MatthIK said. Throttle is a on/off switch. When lever is in cutoff switch is on. So by proxy, setting cutoff is the correct direction. Cutoff is on when switch is on. (Which means throttle is at cutoff) -
Dog ear is a short range AAA radar for 57mm batteries IIRC, Hunting down EW P12 and P-15/18 will be more of a priority. They are also in use in SA2 and SA3 sites as search radar. Shutting that down will force batteries to fire up their FCR as a search radar.

Names are less Relevant. However visually identifying them helps a lot when dealing with target priority for TGP/mavrick (and hopefully MITL weapons in the future). Mainly the FCRs However, once you can ID them visually, you usually can remember names more easily, as they no longer a number on the RWR but a shape. In DCS you only need 5 currently. Fan song Low blow Straight flush Snow drift Hawk FCR (which has an acronym rather then NATO designation) Square pair is huge and when to will come into play it'll be easy to find in the SA-5 battery And in addition, visually ID SA-8 (osa), SA15 (Tor), Shilka, 2S6 and the two strelas (SA-9 and SA-13). Again, all useful for CAS and DEAD priority BTW, I left the tombStone radar out, because if you are good enough to be close to visually ID it, you don't need tips on what to memorize ;)

Just pretend it's HGU-55E... ;)

Wait....seriously!!!???!!! The HUD doesn't show airspeed????
uri_ba replied to gmelinite's topic in DCS: F-14A & B
I'm sorry. I fly the Cat in VR, which is significantly harder to read instruments in then on normal screens. I never had any issues getting speeds and altitude when I needed them with more then a glance. And I don't have more then 20 hours on the thing. I just can't understand this thread, really can't. For BFM (corner speed, max rate etc) you don't need IAS but Mach, and those are giant sized on the airspeed indicator. For landing speeds the needle goes below the Mach and there you really only need 250 for gear, which is the large line. And 225 which is the small line after that. The rest of the time on landing it's AOA anyway (forget the E bracket... Use the but AOA indicator, you need 15 units which is a giant line). And to just IAS for rejoins, look at the speed you need and where it is on the dial, then just aim to be around it till you can see closure rate. -
MP - Serious issues when players switching on the RIO seat
uri_ba replied to viper2097's topic in Bugs and Problems
I once had a Rio ctd on me. He rejoined, causing the wings for sweep forward and lower flaps at M1.2. as the speed was so high I could no longer do anything about them. (Guess I was lucky my wings stayed in place) -
this is the current list https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?p=3885939&highlight=material#post3885939

super tiny bug thingy - Texture alignment on pilot model
uri_ba replied to uri_ba's topic in Bugs and Problems
I've copied over a chunk of the flight suit for now. -
Hi guys, It's tiny and very insignificant, but kinda annoying. the EXT_PILOT texture is loaded above EXT_PILOT_SUIT just above the squadron patch (right side). it manifests as a yellow smear. I've noticed it, but I thought it was my squadron patch (which is yellow). However, I then Painted the shirt white, and it just popped out as white.

I'm trying to add LSO to a MIST enabled mission. I'm getting the marshel/LSO comms in text, but non of the sound snippets work. I've compared the file structure to the one in the provided MIZ (2.5.1 currently) which works. I've got the same file structure inside the MIZ (zip). yet no sound it mine. Any Ideas? -- Update -- I've found the cause (or at least managed to fix the issue). if multiple aircraft in the mission (not sure about coalition) have the same tail number, the script will not play audio. once I went over the mission (not mine) and changed tail numbers for all Hornets and Cats it started working. so now I really can tell how bad I am. :)

I'm running it on a VM, However, I'm running ESXi on a whitebox, which has Intel iGPU. on which i was able to run the "old" DCS. (albit at like 3 fps or so) currenlty with either "--norenderer" or with the new Dedicated server install, it seems OK.
-
I'm trying to avoid it as I'm running the server on a VM which has some space limitations. But I'll give it a try. 10x.
-
is there a way to convert a normal OB install to the Dedicated server install with a flag on the updater?

and the vertical shift between L and R are different. it's the most time consuming task I had to do.
