I have no idea what you're talking about, both images you referenced looked the same to me:

You don't need to shutdown to refuel or rearm. You don't even really have to fully shutdown to repair, just kill the engines. If you turn on ground power before doing so you don't even have to realign or reset any of your systems (other than DSMS) to get back in the air. After repair just restart APU, then the engines, shutdown APU, disconnect ground power and off you go!

There's obviously something more at work than just the schval screen display. What's odd is both of those are 16:10 images. So the question is, is the distortion coming from the larger screen size or perhaps a driver/graphics chip difference or just a difference in FOV in general?

Fixed installer is apparently up for those still having problems.

That takes me to a login screen, not exactly helpful or enticing. If you really want to help the cause of DCS make that page public and only make people sign in to comment or share pictures of their cats, not to view a gallery.

Different mark points are best used for GPS guided weapons like the GBU-38. It doesn't really work well for laser guided weapons like the GBU-12 since you need to maintain contact with the laser on target while the bomb drops. Multiple marks are OK for the '38s, since you drop and forget the weapon. So while you can have multiple drop JDAM passes multiple drop LGB passes are less effective unless you're realllly high up.

Wow really? Go back and play Black Shark 1.02 then read your post again. You're obviously missing a lot. If you compare BS2 to A-10C then yes, they are the same. That's the whole point. But to understand what BS2 really is, you need to compare it to BS1. Then you'll see how this is far more than just a compatibility patch.

When I let go of the stick my Ka-50 tilts back and up 90 degrees before beginning a death spiral. Is that a curves kinda thing or am I just doing things horribly wrong? :)

First time I blew up an ammo dump in A-10C I thought a swarm of SAMs was constantly launching from there! Gonna have to try to find one in BS2 to see if it's the same constant fireworks show.

Num2 + RCtrl + RShift or change the Default cockpit view in SnapViewsDefault.lua is it?

For A-10C it does, but not for Black Shark. There's no "Show CD key" for BS as there is for A-10C.

You've tried downloading 1.0 from DCS's website. Installing it somewhere else, not patching it, running it, starting a mission and activating it with your BS1 key, closing it down then installing the BS2 patch? That worked for a friend who wasn't able to get his BS2 running properly.

Welcome to A-10C Luc! Good to have you here and never worry about asking questions. DCS: A-10C is a "study sim" in every sense of the term and even after years you'll probably still have questions. :)

Everyone thinking that BS2 is a just a "patch we now have to pay for" needs to read this thread: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=81026 It's so much more than just a patch. :) Also:

Sounds like you took some damage and lost some of your avionics. Check your warning light panel. If the CICU light is on in the bottom right corner you might as well get a new plane. Otherwise, just land, switch to ground power, turn off your engines and wait for the three minutes while you repair. Then start your engines back up, all your systems will remain on but disconnect ground power once you're back up and running, then enjoy!

Black Shark 2 is Black Shark 1 brought to the quality and feature level of A-10C. Yes, it includes improved AI. It's basically the game that Black Shark would have been had it been released today. It's vastly superior to Black Shark 1.

I'm recently unemployed and dropped $40 on the full BS version without even thinking about the cost. It's not about the money for anyone. Anyone with a PC that can run these games can drop $20 without blinking. The problem is they expected it to be free and are morally outraged that they had to pay for the upgrade to make DCS: BS a fully fledged A-10C quality DCS module. That is ridiculous and that's what's so annoying about the people complaining about having to pay. No one is saying "you're forcing me to choose between feeding my family or flying with my friends!" They are saying "I'm totally sure you said free and you even promised me that and now you're asking for money and someone said you'll keep asking for money so now I'm super mad about that and that makes you mean! But I bought it anyway." :smilewink:

For A-10C to practice cross wind landings someone put down an Abrams and a few enemy trucks so that he could judge the wind from the smoke from the vehicles that the tank blew up at mission start. Was pretty cool.

I thought I read somewhere that the lua files were not compatible and you'd have to remap your settings for BS2.
