At least since 1.1.0.9 I've not able able to get anything but "Startup" clearance from airfields post take off. I just either ask for that or just go while telling my wingmen what I'm doing. The worst is in MP when you have people who have no idea what "active runway" means nor do they communicate so while I'm taking off I'll have someone taxi'ing onto the runway in the middle while someone else is landing the wrong direction AND someone is taking OFF the wrong direction (true story). :pilotfly:

Tried BFT01 today. One of the AI A-10s is shooting a fuel truck while on the ground, so about a minute in there's always an explosion. Also the Cobra's are taking off, then strafing the Georgian civilian planes that are on the tarmac. The white/red planes are showing up as Russian in the kill logs. Then I crashed to desktop while following the HMMWV, though I suspect that might have been a TARS issue since I've never CTD'd and did twice last night after using TARS for the first time.

Why not just use the game map instead of the TAD maps?

I did a successful windmill restart once, complete with emergency oxygen. :)

I do wish MP was logged, since that's what I mostly fly. I also wish Mission Editor flights were NOT logged. My logbook looks like I'm an idiot because all it's logged is me messing around in the editor, usually crashing.

Yeah, which is a pain! :joystick: Thankfully they are thinking of fixing that in an upcoming patch even though it's set to a realistic height currently due to game play concerns. Also individual store jettison and hung stores require using Inventory that I'm aware of.

It works exactly the same. The only gotcha with this is that you'll end up with extra profiles in your PROF page of the DSMS. They won't be active on the HUD or as options with using the DMS switch though. You can remove them by selecting them from the Profile page in the DSMS. When you select a profile with no matching weapons the CLR PROFILE options on OSB 5 will light up. Select that twice to remove the profile:

You should always install mods via a program like JSGME or ModMan or something. Then you never have to worry about them being overwritten, just uninstall them, patch, reinstall, enjoy!

There's a P-51B folder in the Black Shark install. ED has confirmed they are modelling a plane of a model they no longer own. They used to have a P-51B. Just saying. :)

You are not playing the right missions than. There's quite a few missions out there with TIC calls and smoke being used to designate a target or simply having to fly low and visually check out tree lines or look for tracers in order to find a target and when you do it's a strung out group of infantry so your GPS bomb isn't going to help any. No AI JTAC at all, just inventive and immersive use of triggers and the editor.

I did a hover check and the menu got stuck in that mode and I couldn't get out of it. This meant that I then had no ability to contact ATC or my wingman anymore for the rest of the mission. Since it was a campaign mission I'd fail it to fix the issue. Any chance of a 1.1.1.0 both games update to this? WinMerge showed a lot of little things had changed, but I'm not familiar enough with Lua to know how to combine it all properly.

Yup, no pilot in BS2. I believe this is by design however and not a bug.

What settings do you use Mega, coz on all High my GPU is constantly pegged at 100%. CPU is fine I think, never checked, but GPU works it's ass off. :)
