Yes but surely you are not against progress !! Also 3% is a relative number and DCS is not a mainstream product. Lastly how many times have you changed your graphics card? I am sure you didn't say to ED they are changing the goal posts because it said on the box you could play your module on a AMD Radeon HD 6000 series but to run DCS now you need at least Nvidia 1070. My point is, you don't run DCS in it's current form on a computer made 12 years ago do you?, so why does DCS have to keep supporting a 12 year old OS for 3% of it's users when 97% want it to move on ! I would say 3% are the ones that have a 'closed view' and DCS can't afford to lose 97% of it's customer base, very selfish view sorry !!

I have all the WWII aircraft bar the 'Jug' and I don't fly any of them. But when the Mossie comes out I will fly that in VR !! Mizzy

Does it run on Windows 7 ?
-
Thank God for that, I nearly put my 5G phone in quarantine

What has 5G got to do with COVID ? I thought one was a digital network and the other a biological virus, am I missing something ?

So DCS has to stay within the technological boundaries of Windows 7 and make it a substandard product when all other games are phasing out W7 Humm, makes a lot of sense !! Also did you not read that there is nothing stopping you playing DCS, it just won't be updated. Sorry but I fail to understand your logic and as stated, if you don't like MS intrusion, there are ways and means of keeping your computer OS private. I moved from W7 to W10 last year and didn't really want to but could see the writing on the wall, it's just life, it moves on and doesn't stay static. What are you going to do, stay with W7 for ever! Within a week you won't notice the difference, you get used to W10 really quick. I still prefer W7 but we have to move with the times... if you want to stay up to date that is !

Will the new clouds be available before 2.7 or do we have to wait for the said ? Mizzy

Buccaneer by the BANA Project
Mizzy replied to tombeckett2285's topic in Flyable/Drivable Mods for DCS World
Yeah, what's the point of doing videos if they have no intention of releasing it to the community ..shame because the Bucc is one of my all time favorites -
Not likely I'm afraid. I asked the question to Nick Grey and the response was basically not on the cards, none of the Century Fighters are

Where is all this information coming from, this is brilliant news !!

Do you have a link to the page ?

I can't find the forum for this as it's obscure. With the Oculus Quest 2 at a very affordable price (just make a new fake facebook account, they don't know any better) DCS has taken on the future of how this simulation will be played. Can I suggest it has a prominent forum title called 'DCS VR' ! I have just made the leap into VR and ..my jaw is still dropped in playing DCS. The cockpits are absolutely stunning all of them, if I had know how beautiful they are, I would have paid twice the price for DCS products. If you have not experienced DCS in VR, prepare for a level of excellence beyond reality. Have you seen how big the SU27 is !!! LOL. Happy times ahead and keep safe people x Mizzy

VSN_F104G\Liveries\VSN_F104G\...drop it here ! Don't drop it in any of the individual skin folders, that's where you went wrong. In fact just take the folder common textures out of the FG914 skin and drop it there as if it's a skin called common textures !
-
No, you put the 'Common Textures' in the unit livery folder and not in the individual skin folder. For example mine is C:\Users\Christina\Saved Games\DCS.openbeta\Mods\Aircraft\VSN_F104G\Liveries\VSN_F104G\ ....Drop the Common Texture file folder here and you're good to go. Mizzy

This is the variant I want, all things Vietnam !!

Where did you get this from ? I can't believe it if it's true !!!!!
-
You're on fire Jocko, these skins are absolutely fantastic, it's really brought the model to life. Very well done and thank you !
-
Hi Jocko, is this skin released ?

-
Now my dream has come true, thank you ever so much jocko, this is indeed for all the 'Trekkie' fans. Well done

Oh btw, I found this 'skin job' for the J17 Thunder see attached. It happens to be the markings of a F-104 that featured in an episode of 'Star Trek' the original series called 'Tomorrow is yesterday'. The beginning features the F-104 and one is sent to intercept the 'Enterprise' as it's travelled back in time, as it does now and again. The F-104 featured has the markings: FG 914 Construction Number: 383-1202 built circa 1957 The footage used in 'Star Trek' was probably taken on it's maiden flight. It's one of the most famous F-104s but I have no idea of it's present whereabouts, all I know it's still in tact and on display in the US. Would it be possible to do a skin job with these markings ??

I was 17 when Blade Runner came out and the Director Ridley Scott came from about 5 miles from where I live and Scott studied at the local College of Art. He got the idea of 'Blade Runner' from the skyline of regional industry where I live. But I digress, love the USAF retro skin for the F-104. My dream is they make a module but at my age, I am not hoping too much anymore

Das sind Neuigkeiten für mich, aber es ist kein Problem. Hopefully there will be more than one post from you both confirming the problem was NOT a virus as it's very strange two people come here with only one post each complaining about a virus !! Gut morgen
-
You can be sure it's nothing to do with DCS or ED. Which Antivirus programme are you using? How long have you been playing DCS? Are you using Steam? Which version of DCS are you using? If there was a virus in the DCS exe, we would have heard about it by official sources by now. Sleep safe in the knowledge it has nothing to do with DCS.

Best skin jobs I have seen to date, brilliant !
