  1. It was clear, to me anyway, that he didn't trust Razbam and not ED ! Mizzy
  2. To put security in code says a lot does it not ? Yes I would agree, get your facts straight. Greetings
  3. Oxymoron, 'never know' and 'I just know' are contradictory. Best we just ignore each other eh ! Good. Bye now
  4. Thanks, can you lay off the fantasy theories, Have a fantastic evening.
  5. Correction, I have warnings issued, so I am not getting away with anything. As for the comment about opinions and disagreements, that works both ways. The post you are referring to is clearly telling everyone how great Razbam would have been if it wasn't for mean ED to withhold payment using fantasy events as leverage. It's only a few people and you are one of them, that don't like my posts defending ED over Razbam. So I am not losing any sleep over it.
  6. Purely reiterating other peoples gripe, I don't read manuals. So is Razbam not taking responsibility for their modules if you are directing people to individuals rather than the Company ! That is very strange.
  7. This is an IP dispute, that is what the dispute is about according to the first page of this thread. Since nothing happened as you describe above, it's all imaginary and what could have happened. By the way, nothing is guaranteed in life and I never said it was. You are filling in the gaps with your own opinions and interpretations. Sorry I didn't read the rest as it looked a bit intense and turgid rhetoric. However, one thing is clear you are not right because like all of us here, we don't know the detail of the dispute. But you are welcome to your opinion as to how right you think you are. Best wishes Mizzy
  8. No need for apologies, there are certain posters that still wish to confuse people of what is official and what is not. The other Razbam modules, namely the Mig19, Harrier and the Mirage are safe in DCS as functional modules that are considered, by Razbam, as feature complete and out of Early Access. Razbam were not going to do any updates, only fixes by ED if they break the module (or any other modules in DCS) by way of updates to DCS. Many users of the said Razbam modules may consider their completion as arbitrary, like the manual for the Harrier etc, but this is moot and nothing to do with ED and Razbam dispute. As far as for the future of ED and DCS, in my opinion, this dispute won't affect anyone with a rational mind of why they play DCS because, I suspect, many players of this game find DCS far more interesting to play than this dispute, for example I love the Super Carrier more than anything at the minute . Therefore, when certain people wish to doom and gloom, stay positive, DCS will be around far longer than this dispute which was caused by one Party spitting their dummy out in public and giving their one sided story using their customer base as leverage for sympathy reasons. Don't let the minority posts dissuade you from the wealth of enjoyment DCS has given most of us over many years and the seed of DCS started in 1991 if memory serves Greetings Mizzy
  9. (OT) Ahh, never thought of that but going back to the Hawk (which is a completely different event), ED made it clear the module still functions but only in 2.5.4 or lower, other versions it does not work. So, I was thinking, it may be that one day, say DCS 4, ED announce that 4.0 only supports xyz modules but all modules will still function in DCS 3 version and below, like a legacy game. I bought MSFS 2004 and X and nothing works in MSFS 2020 but I can still boot up MSFS 2004/X when I want to be nostalgic !! Anyway, it's OT and just a thought. Mizzy
  10. This is exactly how I understand it because it's logical that 3rd Party Devs are responsible for their modules and ED is responsible for making sure DCS doesn't break them. This is why I am not worried about any of my bought modules. This thread may be a good way of letting off gas, but it also should be factual as to the current state of DCS development which Razbam do not play any part in. I wonder if ED are considering buying the development rights for the F15e, they own the 3D model, or is this rumour? Mizzy
  11. "Other modules" as in Razbam modules? If so, correction: Read the top post on page 22. Please read other posts carefully before posting your corrections, it will help you understand the situation better and deter unnecessary confusion.
  12. That's fair enough. If my memory serves, the updates were something to do with a military air force contract some years back, so maybe the Mirage benefited from that. One things for sure, they are what they are now and still working like the Mig21. No idea about the fusing thingy on bombs, I don't use any weapons in DCS, it's just a military flight simulator to me.
  13. And what date is this picture may I ask? AFAIK Razbam consider the other modules as feature complete and announced that they are out of early access with no more feature updates. They work perfectly well for the money I spent, so nobody has lost anything unless you bought the F15e which I didn't.
  14. As stated, the only module affected is the F15e. The other modules are out of Early Access and therefore considered feature complete with no updates, just fixes. You may think they are unfinished but that's your opinion and may be shared with others, however that's another matter.
  15. You just don't get it do you. The first page explains what the situation is, it also makes clear why we are having this thread and it's because one Party decided to spit their dummy out and go public with "disparaging" remarks that was palpably aimed at stirring it up with only one side of the story, their story. Where have you seen any business give their customers all the details of legal battles which are privy only to people on a need to know basis. As stated many many times, customers will be provided an official announcement when it is appropriate to do so, probably after legal advice. I have all the Razbam modules except the F15e and since the other modules are out of EA, they won't be updated with new features because they are considered feature complete by the developer and only fixed by ED if ED breaks them. Enjoy DCS, it has a lot of content, not just the F15e which is the ONLY module affected by this "disparaging" announcement that we all could have done without.
  16. WOW, yet another voice of common sense emerges, this is a really well thought out post. Sorry I had to log in and just say well done. Mizzy
  17. Oh what a fantastic post, five stars. I have never played DCS for fighting purposes, that is no surprise to all than know me. That's why DCS is so special because it has so much content (and growing) to allow all sorts of game playing. One of my highlights in DCS for me is flying from place to place using navigation only in very bad weather and landing safely ! It's very challenging and why DCS is multi layered for all sorts of players to enjoy, not just one module or whatever. Mizzy
  18. I would not say this thread was enjoyable, but it does reveal other people's thoughts generated by 'disparaging' remarks made public by one of the Party's involved. Mizzy
  19. Agreed, we must move along as we simply disagree. As for your comment I missed out on quite a bit, may I refer you to the first post of this thread, I have read it and therefore I have not missed out on anything that is officiai in this matter. Please be respectful of others that do not pretend to know something they don't. Mizzy
  20. Where did anyone mention this thread was a Courtroom and others are talking "completely out of context trying to shut people down". That is exactly what you are trying to do. Everyone who doesn't share your view is talking nonsense and their understandings are all wrong in your opinion. Change the record.
  21. I believe it has been addressed about the other modules. They are not in early access so they were not going to get any updates but will continue to be maintained in DCS regardless of Razbam staying or leaving DCS. Mizzy This is what I have been led to believe but some here just like to stir things. Mizzy
  22. WOW, jumping on one of my posts yet again ! So where did I give a definition of 'hearsay' for you to conclude I am wrong and ostensibly means you are right ! What logic is that . So, what is my definition of 'hearsay' please expound your wisdom.
  23. There are a few problems in your statement: "I tend to read whatever I can and then form my ideas off of that" So you are expressing your ideas ! "I had heard stuff about the situation, so I read that as someone who didn't know what was really going on", you formed your ideas on hearing stuff (hear say) and came to the conclusion you now know 'exactly' what is really going on ! Did you consider what you read was actually wrong ! I don't mean to be facetious but your logic is flawed. Please refrain from telling people you are right and more people could learn from your wisdom, it comes over as offensive. That's my last word on the matter. Mizzy
  24. Hehe, just talking generically Mizzy
  25. The same could apply to your own viewpoint and mindset, you don't want to believe anything that upsets that viewpoint. Telling others they are wrong because you are right is not a meaningful moot. I doubt, however' that you would admit you may be wrong.
