I was just wondering if we have any more screenshots for this weeks Newsletter? Mizzy

Seems some people will be unhappy no matter what 'approach' this developer may take. You still wouldn't be happy it seems. Why not take a positive approach, you might get what you are asking for, but then again some people never know what they want

Ok, let's just move along. This is an entertainment product for me and I don't really play much anymore, other things to do in my old age. It does seem that there is a little bit of a clique on here all licking up to chickensoup or whatever. More important things in life than some graphics and digits depicting an imaginary aircraft but each to his own. Mizzy

So you were not mad at all with the Harrier, but now you really don't care anymore with the Harrier ? It's statements like this that must infuriate people that develop software. Let me make it simple for you, are you not mad or are you mad with the Harrier ? Please try to leave out individuals when deciding, we are talking about software not human beings and their character ! Mizzy

Any other demands while you are there

Precisely, hardly anyone I know or have known reads a DCS manual other than a quick reference when needed. The people complaining about manuals have far too much time on their hands. Btw, I like the Harrier and their Mirage but reading the stuff people write about the Razbam, if I were them I would just close the DCS shop and develope for MSFS 2020 where they don't really bother that much in if the systems are realistic and never have. DCS is a commercial combat flight simulation game, not real life. Some of you really do need to learn how to complain as it gets much better results. People don't like nasty comments and don't be surprised if people just walk away from it. Mizzy

Are we going to have F5 hurricanes and Tsunami's at sea :D Seriously this has been the BIGGEST feature I have been waiting for, so much so that I don't currently play DCS until it has some proper clouds. I only fly around (don't do combat) so this is a biggy for me ! Mizzy
-
With better clouds and cloudy weather, I bet that's a BIG game changer for all you fair weather dog fighters :D Mizzy
-
Yes I meant 2.5.6 or whatever it is :D Mizzy

I was just messing about flying around with my modules and having a look inside the cockpit at the model of the pilot. First of all, I thought it was my imagination but I swear the pilot model in the F86 is fully animated pulling on the stick going up and down, sideways and not just his head moves. I observed the other aircraft but they did not have the same animation, is this a new feature but exclusive to the F86? It's really cool to watch :) Mizzy

*** AI J-35 Draken AI coming to DCS World!! ***
Mizzy replied to Cobra847's topic in Heatblur Simulations
It would make sense they are working on the Draken as a full blown module jobbie but not a AI only for several years. If it is going to be a full fidelity module, count me very well IN !! A model of the Draken was used in a Thunderbirds episode back in 1965 due to it's futuristic look, lets face it, it do look like something out of Star Wars for it's time and still is an iconic shape for an aircraft conceived in the 50s. Strange people the Swedes but don't underestimate their abilities. Mizzy -
Sorry I mean looking from outside the aircraft on a night not inside. They used to have it in the old flanker series but they don't now. Mizzy
-
In Flanker 2 and 2,5 they used to have cockpits that lit up in the dark but they don't in DCS, Just asking ! Mizzy
-
So I take it proper clouds are not going to be in DCS anytime soon ? Mizzy
-
I don't get involved in these things so I wouldn't know. But what always strikes me is hidden politics and patriotism 'my country's missile is better than yours' so I cannot see any realism in this regard because as stated it's all classified data on both sides and ED doesn't want a p^^ing match. I am sure that if they look and feel realistic, that's as much as you are going to get .......Oh and I forgot GAME PLAY ! It doesn't bother me, DCS is a flight simulator for me so I will go and get my coat. Mizzy

I remember years ago purchasing Razbam products for FS2004 in particular the old 1960s (my favorite era) A-4 Skyhawks with a nice cockpit (for the time) and nice 3d models (for the time). It's such an iconic airframe, why have you not considered doing a full fidelity module. Skyhawks are carrier based with lots of variations of loadout that make for a mega module in DCS especially with this new supercarrier genius idea from ED !! Well it was just a thought. Mizzy
-
Negativity ! I would pay five times the price of the most expensive module to have proper clouds. DCS is the only flight sim I don't fly with clouds or fog etc activated. It's far to poor at the minute and in desperate need of correction. If IL-2 can do a good job, why not DCS... It surely must be a priority ? Mizzy PS They had better clouds in Flanker 2.5 modded !! Btw I had nothing to do with that :)

Hello new and old players of Flanker Lock on etc. My name is Christina and I call myself 'Mizzy' on this forum named after my cat Mizzy who passed away many years ago. I am possibly the only member of this forum that does not use DCS as a combat simulator. I love military jets mainly the 60s era but have no interest in fighting.

I have been watching loads of films in lockdown and one I think the community would appreciate is the movie 'The Bridges of Toko Ri' 1954. It has lots of sequences of old style carrier operations which are not too different to the Super Carrier!! Spot the similarities, this movie is great for story and emotion for pilots all have a family you know !! ;) Mizzy
-
Which aircraft/product have you decided to buy ? I bought the Supercarrier, it's really exciting and reminds me of when I got 'flight deck' a toy featuring a model of a F4 on rails and you had to land on a cardboard carrier deck with a nylon string acting as the thingy you have to catch on landing. I have bought the F18 but can't land it on a carrier as yet but since I don't fight or anything, this is a brilliant addition for some of us who prefer to do other things in DCS. I also bought the JF17 cos it's brilliant. Mizzy

Well done, I was thinking of doing the same. Mizzy

razo, why be aggressive all the time, you can pick up the SC for 20 quid !! It's peanuts to pay for but has had a lot of work put into it. Why not pay a measly few dollars and enjoy a great product ...Geez Mizzy

How do you open these types of files as I can't seem to open them in GIMP 2 ? Mizzy
