  5. why does it have to be used for frontline squadrons? Imagine making a 'Pearl Harbor' map and not including Haleiwa Field, which was just a mowed grass "emergency/test strip" with no squadrons based there. In an aviation simulator, if an aviation facility existed, it should be modeled.
  6. you could, however the vkb pedals are perfect for anti-torque (helicopter rudder) it would be much better to use your throttle for collective as you rarely if ever (only startup/shutdown) touch the throttle in a helicopter.

  10. you won't get a search or a track for the missile guidance because it's an optical track. The gun may track you though. Ideal way to handle it is to laze it and have someone chuck a bomb from 20k, because it's going to take out your missiles anyway.
  11. the variant we have in game in a shaped charge warhead, not the blast fragmentation variant. It would probably only take out 2 of the three little pigs houses nevermind a bridge. It's not a maverick.

  13. not really sure these are reversed, but it would depends on time of day. The sand should be hotter than the people.
  14. you'll need a peripheral with a switch, or bind it to your keyboard and set a weight on the key.

  18. quite a few american planes of the era had a smoke abatement chemical injection. don't know if that system applies to this model of f-4 but it was on the airplane as well as the a-4 and a-7.

  20. I'm using the warthog just fine, double check to see if you have the rotor brake on, if on the throttle won't move past idle.

  22. right, but if you are doing both jobs from the front seat, you are likely to run out of buttons even if you add in an extra controller. You can get around this with a switched modifier, but it would be very clunky trying to do it all at once. You can, however have your control profiles on that switched modifier, fly to the target area (from the front) and hand off the controls to George when you are ready to switch back to targeting. But at that point you might as well just change seats.
