F-22 destroys the Su-27 in super maneuverbility
Prophet_169th replied to VVanks's topic in Lock On: Flaming Cliffs 1 & 2
LOL!!! I remember that so well, and its not like they were luck shots either, they all went to close combat!!!! Those were fun! Now if I could get my hands on an F-22 or JSF :D -
Check this out: NEw SIM based on Falcon 4 engine.

This has been in the works for years. I used to be in the Squad 666th lead by Mad Dog whos one of the primary drivers for this project. Looks like a good project, just dated. -
I Ask you all with a heavy heart :( help me

Yeah, like I said in the other thread. Everything that isnt lockon, I run on core 1, and only lockon on core 2. It has worked great, and something the AMD patch wont do. -
hmm, the instructions were pretty good for me. You right click on the Lockon icon on your desktop, properties. Under 'target' you add the command line it says. so mine looks like: D:\windows\procaff /run 1 D:\Lockon\Lockon.exe I use the second core (1, 0 would be core 1) because prime95 shows its more stable. I am actually going through my startup and adding the procaff command to everything I can, to core 1 (0), so little if anything is actually running on core 2.

Finally!.......... Fluidity bliss....

I am so glad you guys like the Core2. I have been an AMD fan for years, but am really thinking of upgrading in a few months. I just wish I could nab one from work..... you know you can fit about 196 of these on a 12" wafer... they are so purdy. -
3 Mode Profile HOTAS

I actually have 4. BVR WVR GRND NAV But this was to cover all planes, I am in the process of revising Very few instances in which I need to touch the keyboard. -
Well it should be the same way to connect from 1.02 to 1.12. Possible check firewall, thats all I can really think of. If you were connecting with 1.02 before, then you already know all the stuff to look for.

Is anyone running a new Intel Core 2 Duo CPU? The benchmarks are showing the lowest Core 2 Duo ahead of most AMD products. Wondering how well they handle LOMAC.
-
Yes, thats why say at 40K altitude, you can set the scan altitude to say 20K, but targets start to disappear as they move out of the cone. Its one of the hardest things for newer pilots to learn.

Looking for good joystick for LockOn

I have a Cougar now for about a year. I am a 'hamfist' sorry to say, and it has no problems taking what I give it. I have an X45 also, and the bottom part the sits under the spring started to wear within months, and became a pain for precise movement. It was a really good price tho, and I hear the X52 is great. Wouldnt trade my Cougar for nothing though, the only problem I have is that when I get in tense dogfight, my hands sweat, and the metal becomes slick. Probably too much coffee LOL! -
It was mentioned by ED a long time ago, that there isnt enough time to include this. I think it would strain too many peoples computers too.

Since ground vehicles are being updated
Prophet_169th replied to Witchking's topic in Lock On: Flaming Cliffs 1 & 2
Tactical procedure, at least for the US, is no lights at night in a tactical situation. Not ever. Unless you are on base, or on a hardball (paved hiway). I have never been in combat, but in the training I have had, I have never seen any vehicle with lights on out in the field at night. It would be suicide. There are actually 2 vertical bars, that are very dimly lit, that you see with NVG. You judge distance by the distance they appear apart. It is called light discipline, and there is sound discipline to go with it. -
LoL global warming, classic. They had those after the ice ages too...... Been pretty hot here in New Mexico too. And Oregon, which is very uncharacteristic.

OT: American Mach-3 Missile Advances
Prophet_169th replied to BladeLWS's topic in Lock On: Flaming Cliffs 1 & 2
The Cold War is over, I dont think we are worried about ballistic missiles from Siberia anymore. Whats the range to N. Korea? -
Those A-10's, F-14's, F-18s and F-16s had to start somewhere. They were once in the paper, before seeing real action. It is not so smart to throw an aircraft you have invested billions into, into an engagement, only to find out that there was a fatal algorithm mistake in some software...... and lose a bunch.

ForceWare Release 90 Version: 91.31
Prophet_169th replied to 504MrWolf's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
I dont understand why people have problems with the profiles. 1 is a list, and the other is the current active profile, just as it says. Usually they are linked, but you can edit it so an application opens a different profile. -

New Intel® Core™ Microarchitecture Features Several advances mark the new microarchitecture: Intel® Wide Dynamic Execution –– Delivers more instructions per clock cycle, improving execution and energy efficiency. Every execution core is wider, allowing each core to complete up to four full instructions simultaneously using an efficient 14–stage pipeline. Intel® Intelligent Power Capability –– Includes features that further reduce power consumption by intelligently powering on individual logic subsystems only when required. Intel® Advanced Smart Cache –– This includes a shared L2 cache to reduce power by minimizing memory traffic and increase performance by allowing one core to utilize the entire cache when the other core is idle. Intel® Smart Memory Access –– Yet another feature that improves system performance by hiding memory latency and thus optimizing the use of data bandwidth out to the memory subsystem. Intel® Advanced Digital Media Boost –– Now many 128–bit SSE, SSE2 and SSE3 instructions execute within only one cycle. This effectively doubles the execution speed for these instructions which are used widely in multimedia and graphics applications. I particularly like the sound of the Wide Dynamic Execution. I think this is probably what is helping the Conroe.

They have improved FPS in beta.... I havent gotten around to installing 1.12a yet on my new RAID. Impressed so far though. I prefer using the old control panel, all the new options are available there also.

Impressive looking.
