Think the F-15 Release is/will have an Impact

And I'm sure you're not alone, but I also don't think that your case represents the majority of users that enjoy this software. -

I don't live in America thank you very much. -

If playing a game on a computer is such a hardship for you, perhaps you should find something less costly, like online scrabble. And for the record, I've been self-employed by my companies for 4 decades already, the additional speck of income that comes from a pension is irrelevant to me, and it won't be giving me a different view at all. Maybe your country is a lot cheaper to live in than mine, but all these wasted pixels over less than $100.00 is ridiculous. -

We are talking about less than a tank of gas per module here. Less than dinner for 3 at any restaurant that doesn't deliver your meal in a bag or a box. Less than 15 (Starbucks) cups of coffee. Less than 4 movie tickets. All for people that have, for the most part, already spent thousands to have the equipment to play the game well in the first place. All this nonsense about costs and concerns about release dates is mind boggling to me. Am I the only one flying who isn't a teenager with a paper route or something??? Sure there's going to be a small handful of ppl that cannot afford $100.00 over 2 months of wages, I guess... but honestly, you're telling me that ppl with video cards that cost the same as my last car are now fretting over the financial decision between 2 jets that have so little in common, that beyond having 2 engines and somewhere for the pilot to sit, are completely different experiences aimed at very different uses and users?? I call bullsh*t on that one. Anyone under 25 that's busting their ass and legitimately cannot afford both, you're exempt from this mini-rant. -
It's not quite that simple. First, there's no law that covers all of Earth for that, so which country did the transaction take place in? The country with the button pusher, or the country with the server that actually did the transaction? Let's assume it's agreed that the country of the button pusher gets to use their rules, and that country has such a law. Now what? Are you going to the International Court to get your $25.00 back? Are you going to file a small claims case against ED? And when no one shows up to argue for $25.00 and the judge rules in your favour, again, now what? That covers step 1 of 50... and all the way down the chain, "now what?" comes into play, for $25.00... And before we even get to step one, has there been any suggestion anywhere at any time by any person with any kind of authority, that ED is not going to honor that price for those that got it? Not that I've heard.

Sure... if you count all labour and research costs as free, and ignore the 1000's of man-hours that go into design, research, testing, and everything else, then ya, it could be sold for a dollar without a loss... however, that's not the world we live in. They likely already have a pretty good idea of how many ppl are likely to buy the module, based on how many ppl play the game, and how many have bought recent previous modules etc, so, it's not about selling for as little as possible, it's more about selling at a price that is commensurate with the other modules of similar quality, and if they can do that AND make money, everyone wins.

The Tomcat does.

Ya, setup SRS on the server-designated common channel, self-announce intentions, taxi to, on final, departure from... and then, that other bit... don't run into anyone else.

It's already been done, and they're full (ish)... so.... ya... there's that. https://astronomy.com/news/2020/08/six-ways-to-buy-a-ticket-to-space-in-2021#:~:text=Space Adventures is an American, simulated zero-gravity airplane flights. https://www.thehealthyjournal.com/faq/how-much-does-it-cost-to-go-to-moon#:~:text=Tickets to travel on a,capablity to afford the flight. https://www.euronews.com/next/2022/10/13/elon-musk-spacex-signs-up-first-space-tourist-dennis-tito-starship-flight-around-the-moon#:~:text=Tito won't say how, million (€20.5 million).

I can confirm both of these things, even though I'm only capable of doing one of them. -

I find it unlikely that an extra cash outlay of about $100.00 or less spread over a month or three, is going to be any kind of deterrent for most ppl on this forum. Keeping in mind, many here have spent $1000's on their rigs already. I think with that kind of outlay already in place, except for the much younger players maybe, it's just not enough cash to make any difference at all in terms of decision making. But what do I know... -
Still an F-14. But since I already have that, Phantom.
-
I'm ok with it, but my armchair is kinda pissed at you.

Purchase F-14 from Heatblur Store or DCS Store?
Despayre replied to Ludl0w's topic in DCS: F-14A & B
You're not missing anything.... 13 pages of arguing, even though Razbam came out on page 2 and stated unequivocally that they will not be allowing the removal of CFT's (Conformal Fuel Tanks). THAT thread, should also have been locked on page 2. -

Uninteresting debate? Are we finally getting conformal fuels tanks that can be taken on and off? -
I think they already made that ship... We just need to wait for DCS to create an API for "Death Blossom".

Am I just looking at the wrong thing here? Isn't that exactly the look when you have the red flood on? And doesn't the image look like it's set to "DIM" instead of "OFF"?
-
Are you calling my girl fat?!
-
It looks like you have your red floodlight turned on. Turn that off and you will be left with the illumination of the instruments only.
-
You've completely misunderstood my concerns. They have nothing to do with the content of that website. It's the content you DON'T see that concerns me.
-
Pretty sure SME's can corroborate, this is an accurate representation of F-14 pilots. I don't see the problem here.
-
That might be true, but as someone that spends days making sure clients don't do dumb things with their buildings' internet services, the LAST thing I'm gonna do is touch a Russian or Chinese website for information about a French airplane (or generally for anything), but that's just me I guess. I'm sure it's solid. /s

You claim that piece of info is "widely available" and yet, you provide a link from a Russian website only?? You so funny. Like anyone in their right mind would click on that link these days... newbie hackers, they're so cute...

Always proofread carefully to make sure you didn't any words out. (I have nothing else useful to add here )
