  1. Fantastic. I'm out of town but will verify as soon as I can. Thanks.
  2. With Masters of the Air coming soon, it would be a great opportunity to get new eyes on DCS WWII. Any chance we can get bombers to defend themselves from anything other than a slow dead 6 o'clock approach? That will be a real wet blanket to someone who had just bought a Normandy Map, WWII Asset Pack, and a FW190. Saddling up along side enemy bombers and them ignoring you will make people sad. Not a good first impression. Yep, the IL2 market is there for the taking. Eventually, as Wags said, you will run out of compelling jets that can be done that don't have security issues with the info.
  3. If you go into your Unit List, the last column should show anything still left that uses the pack.
  4. It sure would be helpful.
  5. OK. I guess I should have taken what he said at face value. lol Do they not work together in RL?
  6. Sorry if this is a dumb question. Is the Apache datalink going to be able to talk to the Kiowa? I mean, if it's ever released.
  7. I had the same issue. I had the old school server. I uninstalled. and deleted the save game folder for the dedicated server and installed the modular server and it worked.
  8. He is not capable of understanding what Open Beta means.
  9. Just to clarify... I can't speak to the mission you were using, but I just re-ran my tests. I see no improvement. Other than a narrow cone of fire from dead direct 6 clk approach, the gunners appear incapable of shooting. I can dance in and amongst the bomber formation and no one will shoot a round. I'm not going to upload another film as there is no difference from all the other films I linked. There is no way I would call this fixed. So what ever internal fix exists, it either didn't make it into the patch or there is a misunderstanding of the issue.
  10. Verified on local Dedicated Server. FARP Icons are now not rendering at all. No matter how many times I switch coalitions back and forth. Updated the title to reflect. So we've lost the temp work around.
  11. Disappointing, but expected. Thanks for saving me the time of going to retest. I was just about to. It was the second thing I looked for in the change log. But I was hoping it made it and they forgot to list it.
  12. FYI. This wasn't listed as fixed but I tried to test it anyway to see if I had gotten lucky. It appears to be working worse now. It doesn't render the FARP icon no matter how many times I switch coalitions now. That was on a hosted server. I'll try again on a local dedicated server but I was getting validation issues that I assume is the auth servers getting pounded. Maybe this was just a preliminary step on the way to a final fix, but kinda step backwards. At least I had a workaround before.
  13. Steam went through like grease through a goose. Looking good.
  14. Darn. Was hoping this one had been fixed but not listed. Is it safe to manually delete the spans out of the file?
  15. Kiowa, Phantom, A6 all on same day. (Mic drop...)
  16. I checked and my Steam is unbound I guess. (it had a Bind button showing). So I will still be able to launch DCS from my Steam page? I've never transferred anything to standalone.
  17. I don't understand what this means. I have purchased DCS through Steam. As well as hundreds of dollars of modules. Are you saying my product will no longer work?
  18. Sure am hoping for this to be fixed in 2.9. With upcoming Masters of the Air release in Jan, it might bring some WWII interest to DCS. It would be a good time to piggy back on that interest. Pity if they got here to find the B-17 don't shoot back in DCS. It would be a pity to waste that rare opportunity. https://www.facebook.com/appletv/posts/695309142642324?ref=embed_post
  19. Ah. That's a good point i hadn't thought of.
  20. I've had this problem on Syria map. Seems especially broken in MP. I was trying to use it for FARPS too. I gave up on it. It is not reliable.
  21. So when a client connects to a MP server mission, the mission and all it's scripts (if added by file include) is transferred to the client even though the client isn't going to run any of that script? I hoped the server would understand to strip all script because script can't be executed on the client and only send what is needed, but it is good to know for sure if it doesn't.
  22. If I understand correctly, in a MP mission all script run on the server. So, is there any difference between statically linking the Moose or Mist script file vs dynamically loading it? If I statically link the file, does that 6mb script get distributed to the clients? Or does it just send the parts the client needs? Thanks in advance.
  23. You might look at: https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3318569/
  24. Did you write any custom script? Are you using mods in that mission?
