  1. I also see flashes, as if there were lightning strikes behind me. In a certain mission in Caucasus, it is reproducable. All plane modules. Appearing after passing a certain point.
  2. No. Alt+enter does not maximize the window. Also; full screen is checked. Just a tiny nuicance.
  3. I'm having the mirror resolution as low as it goes. (720?) I believe it helps performance a tad. But this makes it a window that can not be maximized, and the cursor often ends up outside that window, causing "Mouse out of (smth)" warning. Even when "Confine cursor to window" is ticked.
  4. Congratulations. This is a big day for DCS and the community! Historic! And it actually works! "Honey, I'm ho-ome!"
  5. "Wags here from the Eagle Dynamics"" Wags.mp4
  6. Check output setting under "Options/audio" I normally send all sounds to speakers, and radio/cockpit sounds to the G2
  7. Now there's a good reason to release the Kiowa. This is what they've been waiting for! Yeah, no..
  8. ..topic belongs under AH-64
  9. I'm also experiencing weird "dropuot" of hotas controls in the Apache. I fix it the way you describe: Go to controls, verify the binding, and then pressing "OK" It works most of the times. But sometimes I just have to abandon mission.
  10. Thanks, guys. I figured it was going to be like that. After upgrading graphics card, I cranked up the eyecandy. Most of the time I see 80-90 fps with smooth sailing. But on "Battle for Saipan; Dawn invasion" (AH-64 mission) for example, the CPU bound goes to into orange/red. Felt an urge to go "yipee" when reading about the DLSS. Initally, but then I thought it through. Strange thing is, it seem that the graphics quality also degrade in this scenario. More aliasing, and shorter "visible radius" Still; it is going to do ehrm.. something, and add another moment to the balancing act that is DCS.
  11. Or.. will it help CPU in any way?
  12. Thank you for these wonderful assets. As a defender against the SHAHED 136 LM, may I suggest the OERLIKON SKYNEX® AIR DEFENCE SYSTEM by Rheinmetall? As it seem to become more relevant as of lately.
  13. I'm trying not to use them, and get rid of/exchange them in existing missions, using other units in stead. But I don't know how they are labled/identified/designated in the mission editor. Anyone knows what I should look for?

    Supersearch/TWS

Simply: Is there a way to enable TrackWhileScan after locking target in "supersearch"?
  15. Its a rabbit hole because there is no other solution than to lower graphics quality until it's gone. Unacceptable to many people, having seen the "good stuff" So one seek "exotic" solutions. Lots of placebo going on. Maybe unfair, but MSFS has no such phenomena, all settings on ultra.
  16. Thx, goodfolk! Yes I got improved framerate even with the eyecandy increased: Ultra view distance, 150% render scale etc.. But the microstutter is still there when looking to left or right. Wobbling cockpit is mostly gone. I sure hope DCS 4.9 has some further MT optimization. DCS can choke any supercomputer as it is today.
  17. Third time this week. Short durations, though.
  18. If you want to try for yourself: In this mission, your target are the vehicles turning off road to avoid the roadblock. (Ignore the ones following the road) The Apache takes off from the roadblock, the Gazelle is in air. If you want, you can get into one of the jets, and take out some air targets as well. A B21 bomber goes for the enemy's ammo stock. If it fails, you can take it out to finish the mission. It can be solved i many ways. I'll upload it here so you can test the sounds and the way it affects the entire experience. Containing a lot of Currenthill mods. Edit: There is an invisible Farp where the Apache take of from where you can re-arm the Gazelle if needed. TESTKrimBETA.miz
  19. I do not change sound balance between flying the two choppers, mind you. I have a fairly advanced sound setup, with a Roland Octa-capture external audio interface coupled to a pair of JBL near field studio monitors. This way I have external sounds in those, and internal in the earphones of the HP reverbs. I have tried various combinations regarding volume of the different channels. Cheer, yes, with beers. :)
  20. I have some Currenthill mods in that mission. Not sure if relevant, but I see flashes only in that one. TPOD flicker looks like small hickups esp. when moving cursor.
  21. My mirrors are off by default, and I rarely use them. Still flickering MFD (TPOD) and those weird thunderless lighting flashes.
  22. I made a mission with both the Gazelle and tha Apache as clients. Friendly AAA shoot down a russian bomber and it hit the ground fairly close. From the Gazelle I hear both AAA and the thunder from the chrash. -And it is amazing. That's what I call immersion! -The low frequencies of such an explotion would penetrate even into a recording studio. But the Apache is a silent movie. Except I hear both hellfire whooshes and the Bushmaster, but not an aircraft hitting the ground fairly close. It seems unrealistic to me. Even if realistic,I'd prefer some "unrealism" here. Thoughts?
  23. I can try to fly a mission with this "challenge" (Quick action in Normandy) I will skip all wayponts until the bridge or the next after bridge, where there are some AA threats. Because threats, I do not fly directly towards waypoint/SPI Slave TGP to SPI. Find target in TGP, and try to lock it up. (As I do on other targets in same mission, with success, but flying head on target) I will not be able to lock until I change course and fly straight(er) towards targets . ..Save track. Upload here. -At work right now. Thanks a lot!
  24. I can confirm that TGP is SOI, and I can lock target AND make SPI with it. New specification: I can not lock target in described situation. Thus neither make a SPI. I fix it by changing course, and fly (more) head on. So, I can not confirm that "TGP" shows up in the HUD. I have to do some more testing to answer other questions.
