  1. I tried via dcsupdater.exe...did not work
  2. where is the dcs.exe located? i have windows explorer turned off
  3. After installing the update, the game will not start; the slash screen doesn't even briefly appear.
  4. Are you referring to today's 1.5.3 beta update? If so I have the same issue; the splash screen doesn't even breifly appear for me...nothing does. I even double clicked on the exe in the root folder..still. Repeated all as admin...nothing
  5. After updating to 1.5.3, the game will not start under any circumstance
  6. Ok, thanks for the input. I'll take it for a spin this morning and check it out.
  7. Is the mission stable with 1.5.2?
  8. ^^^Thanks!
  9. Love the mod. How can I utilize this template in DCS 2.0 Nevada Map?
  10. Edit: This seams to be a problem for many people with new/updated drivers. I did a revert/clean install of Nvidia's 353.03 drivers, and G-sync seams to be be working perfectly. Others have reported G-sync to work in drivers 355.82 and possibly others respectively. It appears G-sync either works or it doesn't with certain driver releases. Is this a known issue?
  11. I'll make this brief and to the point: I have an Acer 28" 4K G-Sync monitor with the correct cable attached directly between the primary of (2) Titan X video card and the monitor. Latest drivers. In Nvidia control panel global settings, G-Sync is enabled for both F/S and windowed mode, v-sync is 'On.' Nvidia Inspector profile had G-Sync on, V-Sync to 'Application setting.' In-game menu has V-sync 'Off.' This should be the standard setup to use G-Sync instead of V-Sync in DCS. The result: After the sim begins in an A-10C, I press the 'alt + enter' key combination to get into full screen mode. Instead of the advertised "Buttery smooth" performance, I have very noticeable screen tearing. Additionally, my 60hz 4k monitor is indicating FPS between 125-135 FPS, more than twice its capable refresh rate. I've searched the forum, as well as Nvidia's forums, and the forum for my monitor. Can any of you G-Sync-savy folks who are having perfect G-Sync performance tell me how to fix this? Thanks much in advance!
  12. Don't expect increased performance; I'm upgrading from 8 to 16 just to be able to fly the sim without it freezing.
  13. FYI turning off flat shadows actually results in a significant performance hit.
  14. Me three; same problem
  15. I used Nvidia Inspector...tried enhanced settings under both "Enhance application settings" and "Override application settings", zero results.
  16. To better describe the shadows, they appear smooth 90% of the time; however around the weapons master panel switches and a few other spots, including the attitude indicator, the shadows appear jaggie, almost "Flickery" in a sense. It might just be me being picky, because I know shadows won't be perfect.
  17. Is anyone else having the same issue, and if so, how do I fix it?
  18. You beat me to it...I was just going to post. And this is regarding in-cockpit shadows as well.
  19. 60 Hz monitor lol
  20. I get the same issue with two Titan X's in SLI, FPS set to 58, vsync off, gsync on, Nvidia Inspector setting reflecting SLI profile AFR (Not AFR2), mirrors ON. Apparently AFR is the correct SLI profile for DCS (Correct me if I'm wrong). Other than that (crossing fingers), the game is running extraordinarily smooth.
  21. Is there a way to get sweetfx to work in 1.5?
  22. Make sure your SLI settings in Nvidia inspector are correct, and don't forget to press left alt + enter for full-screen mode. I was getting micro-stutters, and capped my Nvidia inspector frame rate limiter at 58. in game was indicating 60 fps and much smoother.
  23. With two Titan X's in SLI with vsync disabled/gsync enabled, and alt+Enter, I'm indicating 60 FPS; however I'm getting noticable lack of smoothness/micro stutters when looking at terrain. Its almost 'FSX like'. Definitely not as smooth as pre 1.5 Open beta
  24. Actually, R Alt + Enter solved it (Full screen mode)
