  1. I've been having an unusual problem where if I open all the weapon bays while in flight, the left AIM-9 weapon bay would open briefly and immediately retract. This problem does not occur if I decide to only open the left weapon bay. Another small issue is that while the AIM-260A JATM works well enough, the AIM-260B JATM sometimes still suffers from a strange lack of maneuverability when diving for a target, similar to what Growling Sidewinder experienced in this video. The next thing I'd like to bring up is Raytheon's proposal to mate an AIM-120's seeker head and electronics to a RIM-162's rocket motor and tail to produce this, the AMRAAM-AXE (air-launched extended envelope). This development was first reported on by AviationWeek in 2022, but the article is paywalled, so I can't access it. There is, however, a fairly recent TurDef Global Defense News article about the AMRAAM-AXE. Would you be interested in bringing this to the F-22 at some point? 2. Unfortunately, after I tried installing the new update, I lost all the air-to-ground weapons and am down to AMRAAMs, Meteors, and AIM-9s. Is there anything I am doing wrong here, and is there any way I can restore the previous functionality of the mod?
  3. Unfortunate, but I can understand as life comes first after all. It's been nice while it lasted for sure. Do you plan to hand the files and coding over to someone else who is willing and able to continue your work?
  4. River-class OPV - sweet. I think they'd go well with the HMS Queen Elizabeth and HMS Prince Of Wales carrier battlegroups, or any Royal Navy SAG for that matter with Type 23 and Type 45s.
  5. I like that Westland Lynx/Wildcat heli you have in there. Who made the mod, and is there any way we can get our hands on it?
  6. Hi Currenthill, I understand this may not be a priority now, but do you plan to change the B-21's weapon bay configuration to match the real deal more? Instead of two weapon bays each containing separate rotary missile launchers, it appears that the real aircraft has a single centerline weapon bay, believed to contain a single rotary missile launcher. The centerline weapon bay is flanked by what appears to be secondary weapon bays on both sides, possibly used for guided bombs, glide bombs, or air-to-air missiles.
  7. Understood. Yes, it was mentioned that Admiral189 was gifted a 3d model of the ship.
  8. Very nice. Do you have a link to the forum post or the developer's Discord server?
  9. I just saw the video and I loved every minute of it. I understand that there's probably a lot on your plates right now, between the things you guys do outside of DCS, the Leander-class frigates, and Type 21 frigates you guys have been working on, but do you guys have any plans for the Type 22/Broadsword-class frigate, and the HMS Bristol, that one-off destroyer they turned into a moored training ship until recently? If things go well on my end, I'll try to send you guys some kind of donation - being a college student, it won't be much but I hope I can help in some capacity.
  10. This is brilliant - take as much time as you guys need. On another note, I know this request falls squarely outside of the time period you're focusing on (Vietnam War,) but please consider adding the Iowa-class battleships in their configurations as-built for WW2, the Korean War, as well as the 1980s Harpoon/Tomahawk/Phalanx refits. If not, here is a bit of hope from me (and hopefully others) that someone else in the DCS modding space can make this a reality.
  11. I'm going to guess that we're getting the USS New Jersey judging by the disc-cone antenna, anchor chains, and the two strange circles to the right of the frame. The USS New Jersey was also the only Iowa-class battleship to fight in Vietnam IIRC.
  12. Understood. And who would they be, these three different teams each coming up with a Vark?
  13. Yeah, Robert McNamara's policies and actions were... interesting.
  14. Nice. Do let us know how feasible my proposal is, and keep us posted on anything that might come up.
  15. Understood. I guess one way you can get around this is to do a kitbash of some kind, taking the launch boxes and arranging them together. This 3D model appears to be game-ready and rigged, and each component can therefore be easily separated. It's also just 8 dollars. https://www.cgtrader.com/3d-models/military/military-vehicle/skyguard-launcher-area-defense-system
  16. I think you can potentially use the Aspide/Spada 2000 launcher in its place. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aspide
  17. On another note, what do you think of potentially adding the F-111 Aardvark? Several 3D models out there might look the part, such as this F-111E, which might have seen some action in the years immediately before the US withdrew from the theater. This model is also quite expensive at 200 USD; it's not rigged or game-ready, although it does appear to have separable components. https://free3d.com/3d-model/general-dynamics-f-111-aardvark-tactical-fighter-aircraft-3577.html I am aware there are numerous F-111 variants out there, including the carrier-capable F-111B (that never really took off) and the (rather unreliable) F-111D, in addition to whatever upgrades and modifications each airframe may have received throughout their service lives. There is also an entire line of F-111 aircraft exported to the Royal Australian Air Force, the FB-111 series of strategic bombers, and the EF-111 Spark-Vark, although these may be out of your scope for aircraft that took part in the Vietnam War.
  18. Thank you very much. These Pakistani ships will go quite well with the Persian Gulf and JF-17. I don't own the JF-17, but those who do will quite appreciate your work. Once again, thank you for your contributions, and best of luck with everything. Hope to hear from you guys soon.
  19. This is going to be interesting. On another note, what do you think it will take to replicate the configurations of these ships in Pakistani service? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tariq-class_destroyer Pictured here is PNS Babur (ex. HMS Amazon), with a Phalanx CIWS in place of the Seacat missile launcher, and 2 Mk. 141 missile launchers for RGM-84 Harpoons in place of the Exocet launch boxes. 3 ships in this configuration. This is PNS Tariq, ex. HMS Ambuscade, with a Phalanx CIWS fitted aft in place of the Seacat missile launcher. In place of the Exocet missile launch box here is a Chinese-made LY-60 surface-to-air missile launcher (reverse-engineered Aspide/Sparrow.) 3 ships in this configuration. HMS Ambuscade (aka PNS Tariq) made the news last year as the Pakistani government has reportedly gifted the ship back to the UK with the hopes of turning her into a museum piece.
  20. I would very much appreciate it if you sent me the files, thanks. Also, I do have the French Navy FREMM mod installed, so I got that covered.
  21. https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3320020/ For what it's worth, there is a fairly old and outdated Leander-class frigate mod out there - it works, shows up in the game, and isn't half bad looks-wise, but the weapons are all wrong. It would be nice if these ships had Exocet anti-ship missiles, working Sea Cats, and Sea Wolfs, but we'll take what we can get.
  22. Thank you very much - we enjoy your stuff very much.
  23. Hi Admiral, thank you very much as always for your ongoing contributions and service. I want to inform you that animation argument number 172 is missing from the list. Animation number 174 is mapped out in a way so that the VLS door's default position is shoved inwards. Lastly, the letter U in the embossed "CAVOUR" markings seems to be missing its texture. I understand that these problems are relatively minor, and you should prioritize your life outside of DCS over this; Merry Christmas to you, and good luck with everything.
  24. As of 2023, they still do. https://www.twz.com/iraqs-f-16-fleet-surges-in-importance-thanks-in-part-to-war-in-ukraine Iraq's F-16 fleet is also set to receive upgrades as of 2024, but this article is sadly paywalled. https://www.janes.com/osint-insights/defence-news/defence/iraq-to-equip-f-16s-with-aidews-ew-suite And just the other month, Iraqi F-16s were used to take out ISIS leaders. The photo in this article is dated December 2024 although the photo is of a two-seater and not the single-seat C variant as seen in DCS. https://thedefensepost.com/2024/10/20/iraqi-strikes-senior-is-leader/
  25. It would appear that these links don't work anymore. Hope someone notices this since the Iraq map just came out.
