  1. This is for standalone DCS. If you use Steam version I'm afraid I can't help you, but normally DCS folder should be in STEAM\steamapps\common. Replace "Archivos de Programa" with "Program Files" or whatever it's called in your language.
  2. Tested several aircraft and missions in all the maps I have. No noticeable difference.
  3. Can you do a benchmark? This is very interesting but something more than "game feels better" would be nice. Will test tonight.
  4. Been using VR Wave for almost a year. No complaints.
  5. Being a new guy around here, SharpeXB looks like the resident apologist for ED. Every time there's a thread asking for a fix or a feature, he will endlessly spam the discussion with arguments about why it can't or shouldn't be done. Tiring really.
  6. Clear all the way.
  7. Is the update really 50GB or there's something wrong on my end?
  8. Have you tried "VR Zoom" in the UI Layer bindings? It's a pretty agressive zoom but it gets the job done.
  9. It is. No problems on that front.
  10. The worn out style of the Tomcat's cockpit is a pain in the ***, at least for me in the Quest 2. Small and worn text is a bad combination in VR. Not a problem once you get to know the bird and act by muscle memory, but when you're learning it, man it's frustrating at times. I use a reskin mod that helps with readability. There are a few on the user files section, you should give them a try.
  11. Last night playing the Skyhawk on winter Caucasus, a combination of midday sun, low clouds and snow produced a white haze outside the cockpit. I could barely see anything. Pretty ridiculous if you ask me.
  12. If you're considering going VR I think a 3090 is the better choice. I'm running VR with an i5 10400F - 3060ti and a Quest 2 with med-low settings and I'm pretty happy with it. You will be able to crank the setttings much higher with your PC. Any decent CPU will run DCS fine, more so when playing at high resolutions (4k, VR) where the bottleneck will always be the GPU. As a side note, don't get discouraged by the frustrating rabbit hole that VR represents (at least for the first time setup and config). I took me month to find the perfect settings for my hardware. But the reward was worth it. Ask around and people will help.
  13. Estás usando sincronización vertical? Tal vez el software de AMD te esté marcando los fps máximos y DCS los que muestra el monitor.
  14. An important detail is at what resolution are you playing. For 4k or VR you might be better with a 3090 as it has more VRAM to pull those high resolutions, as the guy above me said. For 1080p or 1440p the 4080 might be a solid choice. But, as I understand, for now in DCS both cards are comparable and will give you good performance.
  15. If the price is similar, I'd say go for the 4080.
  16. AI cheats. Simple as that.
  17. I think it's "motion smoothing" on SteamVR settings.
  18. Your settings seems fine. Can't talk about SteamVR as I don't use it, but I can't spot anything wrong. The only thing I notice is 90hz refresh rate might be a little optimistic considering the resolution you're playing at. Have you tried motion reprojection? That way you can save considerable GPU processing power at the cost of some artifacts if you move your head quickly. Other thing you can try is limiting your FOV. That was the setting I tried last and the one which gave me the most gains in performance. Reducing your FOV to, let's say, 85%, saves a good chunk of pixels your graphic card doesn't have to render, and -I don't know about your Index-, but in my Quest 2 you barely see those pixels anyway.
  19. It does, but after a month of trying settings in my case.
  20. Yes. You can't mix 530D missiles and a2g ordnance on the vanilla Mirage.
  21. If you're not playing in VR, AMD cards make more sense right now. More VRAM and better performance for the same price. For what's being talked about, the 4060 will most likely have 8gb VRAM and 128bit memory bandwidth, at an expensive price. So not a good deal at all.
  22. I confirm this. Huge stuttering and fps loss on carrier deck. FPS overlay shows "simulation" going over 20 when it was just my plane and the carrier in the entire map. Something's not right.
  23. There is a current bug with multithreading where one of the cores goes to 100% load and stays there all the time (even when looking at the main menu) and you get that message. Throwing new hardware at DCS won't solve this problem as in most cases it's not your CPU's fault.
