  1. Thank you for this mission. It is working excellent. I put it up on my dedicated server as a playground environment for pilots to jump into as they get the time. I need to learn how to make the server restart the mission every few hours but so far it is working great and those who have flown it have nothing but good things to say about it.
  2. The Server name has been changed to The Forgotten War 1950-1953 PvE See details about the change here: https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=266187 Server Name: Korean War Sabre Pilots Password: None! Korean War Sabre Pilots is a PvE playground to pound the poor bloody infantry into the mud or chase down a dastardly enemy pilot or two. Although it is focused on co-op flying there is opportunities for PvP as well. For example; the current mission on the server has Mig15s available to fly as well as Sabres. To start I have loaded Surrexen's excellent "Operation Secret Squirrel" multiplayer mission which can be found here: https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3306916/?sphrase_id=22167352 WWII Assets Pack is required (yes, I agree with what you are thinking) As I learn more about mission creation in the MOOSE environment I will create my own missions. Every other week some of us get together to fly a co-op mission in the F-86F Sabre. Anyone is welcome to join in. We have a Discord server listed below. We are not a squadron, the discord is just for pilots to link up and fly together. Most of us are members of other, more modern, jet squadrons. Korean War Sabre Pilots https://discord.gg/C5C3Kw3
  3. Do you know of any recent mods to update the textures for the cockpit? Some pilots complain that in VR the cockpit is very hard to read instruments, etc.
  4. Harlikwin, I have been reading about that issue. It seems to be related to an integrated GPU rather than any one specific game or even VR.
  5. Sorry, I assumed that you knew how to use the menu buttons. My bad.
  6. In the SteamVR menu open developer tools and then uncheck arcade mode.
  7. I want to thank LeCuvier: learning to create my own bindings was way easier than I feared it would be. Especially with the "How To" PDF created by LeCuvier and the many many posts that he has made helping other people.
  8. This is also happening to me, I do not have a track to offer but thought I would chime in. Let me know if there is any data (tracks, logs, etc) that I can contribute.
  9. Thanks Vanguard, this is exactly what I was looking for.
  10. Is it recent? I have just started learning to make missions since 2.5.6 and I was thinking that it was something that I was doing wrong.
  11. Quick work, I will give it a spin. Thank you very much.
  12. Hi Breeze, let's get together sometime and fly a bit? Do the two of you use Discord or would you prefer Treamspeak?
  13. Looks like a great idea, unfortunately I am also one of those for whom the program locks up while trying to adjust the position of the screens. I look forward to trying the updated version. Thanks for working on this.
  14. Hi Forzamark, thanks for teh reply. Might be harder to get together you are six hours ahead of me. What times/days are good for you?
  15. I know there is not much interest in this airframe anymore but I very much enjoy flying it. Anyone interested in getting together to fly some sorties? I might be able to put together some missions or we can find some. There is a Korea server but their mission is incomplete right now. They have announced that they are working on a new one though. I am much more interested in flying with buddies in a relaxed atmosphere than learning proper military terminology, ranks, etc. I am EST I also enjoy the F-5E if anyone is interested in that aircraft. Thanks
  16. Sort of; DCS provides the tools to create plugins and apps that can read telemetry from the game. Simtools (what I use) has a plugin created from an export.lua that reads telemetry and sends that information to my motion controller. The telemetry possible is pretty detailed.
  17. It was very enjoyable. Thanks Zoolander for hosting.
  18. I like my motion system in DCS. Not at all necessary but a lot of fun and immersive. This video is not DCS but you get the idea.
  19. Brewnix: It tracks very well, there is some worry about motion cancellation but I have not had any problems. I have heard others mention that they do have some issues when driving race cars but they also have their rigs set up to have very violent motion :D Bluethornton: You can see more details about my build on Xsimulator.net here: https://www.xsimulator.net/community/threads/6dof-vr-flight-pit.13070/
  20. Um....it has VR? :D
  21. DIY six degree of freedom (6DoF) VR motion simpit, someone that I was flying with last night asked me to post pictures so here you go: Motors are 6 @ Bodine 12v DC, 42rpm, 23amp, 310in-lb. with 3 1/2" cranks. Motor drivers are 3 @ Sabertooth 2x32 by MotionDynamics (two motors 32amp with 64 amp spike) Micro controllers are 3 @ Arduino UNO (one per Sabertooth) running SMC3 motion cue program by Rufus Dufus and modified by BlazinH (X-Simulator.net members) Power is suppliedby 6 @ 30amp LED PSUs in chain with a small lawn mower battery to absorb regenerative current (which could damage or shut down the power supplies). Motion software is Simtools with game plugins provided by the community at X-Simulator.net (special thanks to Value1). Two bass transducers on the arm rests provide the thump and bump. The six degrees of freedom are Heave, Surge, Sway, Roll, Pitch and Yaw. The monitor stand is left over from my previous VR simpit. I need to rework the mount to have it closer so I can see the screen when I am not in VR. It is within squint distance though ;)
  22. Blewis, I included an edited version of the left pedal (someone printing them can just reverse the left as you mentioned) in my files over on the other website. There is a guy there creating his own set with issues that he ran into to help others.
  23. Hi Blewis, that is kind of you but I enjoy creating my own models. And of course 17 hours to print each pedal is a bit too much printer time for me ;) I am not really a "perfect" scale kind of guy anyway, you might have seen my own viper pit and F/A-18 panels around. I have been sharing the build files here: https://www.xsimulator.net/community/threads/diy-pendular-rudder-pedals.13130/#post-174257
