  1. That is what I've said in the past. I would think that modders like PeeJott, Tobi, EightBall and the others could be vetted by ED and allowed in the Closed Beta Modders team to "so they can test their mods and update them accordingly." Exactly! That is precisely what I meant by "unacceptable." Like all of you, I have literally spent hundreds of dollars on ED products and still 60% of my fly time is dedicated to unofficial mods by PeeJott, Tobi, EightBall and the "community" because the are awesome mods that are fun to fly. You would think that ED would want to honor those guys' contributions by at least allowing them to be involved at a level higher than the general user and test out a beta version prior to an update like this.
  2. Not screaming at anyone. Never said ED was responsible. Just that it is unacceptable. Although ED did make some changes. LOL. That's an argument for another topic. Well, I don't have the SU-30 installed and I can't launch the A-4 from a carrier because when I jump in it, the carrier is not there and I fall straight into the water. So...
  3. A-4 launched from a carrier? I couldn't get that to work. Ya, Paul (VSN) is aware, not happy.
  4. There are serious problems since the last DCS update. I'm pretty sure it's related to the A-4E community mod.
  5. So far I have determined the VSN F-4 and the A-4E Community mod are causing the issue. I'm sorry, but this is unacceptable!
  6. Aries, Thanks for doing the troubleshooting to find out about the VSN F-4 and the last update not playing well together.

I will be hopefully working with PeeJott to get the F-4 fixed and back flying with the latest future updates. Love that mod.

      I'm happy to help man.

Thanks for communicating with Peejott. I also love his F-4 mod. His flight model is fantastically fun.

  7. Yes BigNewy. I'm aware of step 1 in the standard troubleshooting process. Thanks As I said, I'm not troubleshooting yet. I'm just curious if anyone else has been impacted by such a dramatic event since the last update. Also, how do you rollback?
  8. Has anyone else had a problem since the last update with regards to no carriers or boats with helo pads? No, I'm not providing a log file. Yes, I use a few unofficial mods. I'm not troubleshooting yet. I was just looking for a response from others who may be having the same issue. No carriers, no ships, no boats are showing up since the last update. How do we roll back? Is there a link available?

  10. "it's possible that they haven't even experienced SRS yet." That would be me.... at least a positive experience.
  11. Spooky, what all aircraft are available on the server?
  12. My biggest issues with SRS: Connection Issues: SRS fails to sync with DCS servers, causing "unknown" status and communication disruptions. Separate Server Requirement: Users mistakenly try to connect SRS directly to DCS without a standalone SRS server. Configuration Problems: Misconfigured export scripts and missing files prevent proper integration with DCS. Audio & Mic Issues: Incorrect audio device settings lead to failed transmissions despite successful connection. Secure Coalition Radios Setting: This feature can block automated services like D-ATIS and needs to be disabled in some cases. Honestly, SRS is not the end-all savior a lot of people make it out to be. ...just saying.
  13. Understood. I hope it's true that they are looking at ways to reward loyalty.
  14. While I agree with you in spirit, I would say that is a tough decision to make. Tobi and Eightball have obviously put a lot of time and effort into the endeavor. Handing it over as open source for free may be difficult for the following reasons: Protecting Work – Prevent unauthorized use or monetization. Preventing Cheating – Avoid exploits in multiplayer. Retaining Control – Keep the mod's vision intact. Avoiding Extra Work – No flood of bug fixes or feature requests. Legal Issues – Might contain third-party assets or reverse-engineered content. No Interest in Collaboration – Some devs prefer working solo. Future Monetization – Might turn into a paid module later.
  15. Thanks for the info. But, that doesn't answer the question: How does a developer lose income?
  16. I recently purchased the Kiowa mod, but did not see that my miles increased and they did not show up in the miles history. So I requested support from ED. I was told the following: "This product does not participate in the loyalty program...." I then complained about the fact that ED miles are a huge incentive and this policy will now impact future purchasing decisions dramatically. They responded with: "Not all developers want to lose income and participate in the loyalty program, sorry..." So my question is: How does a developer lose income with regards to ED miles? The support team does not discuss financial issues.
  17. Those wish list items are going to be very difficult to develop since the mod is based on FC F-15C.
  18. I'm thanking you as well! Could you possibly add the VSN F-4B/C mod as well as dynamic spawns?
  19. We've seen this issue before. I just don't remember what the fix was.
  20. I think what is most disappointing about all this is that the F-15E has so much potential - waiting to be seen.
  21. Why is that? Do you need help?
  22. Check the files with RoughMet in the name.
  23. ...When you ASSUME you make an ASS of U and ME?
