I don't think we'll ever see FFB+Budget offering together, but I'll admit lower price neck-thru guitars showed me otherwise (but that is a larger market)

New MSI 4070Ti Ventus and Reverb G2 report..
Nightdare replied to The_Nephilim's topic in Virtual Reality
Uhm, well, if more performance was what you wanted, the 4080S would be an even bigger step up But if you have the 4070ti now, I'd not take the step for the 4080S, but await the 50x0 -
I thought you said you wanted to futureproof? Then current offerings at moderate price isn't the thing you're gonna be after
-
When I retired my G940, the first thing I missed (and still want back) was the flutter in the stick when pulling a Spitfire near stall speed But at what price point? I won't see them offering a new tech Hotas at the prices their competitors charge, just their AVA stick and base is at 5 bills, I wouldn't want to know what an added FFB option would cost
-
Don't get me wrong, pretty psyched for FFB sticks But nobody noticed those CDU panels in the foreground? IMO TM should just focus on Simracing by this point, VKB is pretty creative and VPC offers solid products
-
TM Has been coasting on their position in a small market, and instead of using that succes for innovation, simply sat on their laurels Trouble for TM is that they can't innovate at a competitive price, because they would have to defend their archaic warthog's price point or significantly cut that price They have it in them tech-wise, but market-wise?

I agree that I wouldn't want to stop flying because my hands hurt and tingle from the workout they've been given Thing is though, that heavier motors set lighter will last longer
-
You mean buttons/axes? It's just like any USB joystick device The data on the LCD screens needs a workaround though
-
I tend to be good in coming up with practical, crude improvisations (Just never ask me to follow up and plan something out that also has to look good, either the plan fails, or the improvisation looked better )

Export what? in @markturner1960's case he's in VR, so no need for data to be displayed on the UFC ...sidenote, just checked apparently, with my setup, it does remember lighting settings Display off is persistent
-
I sincerely doubt your stick is mounted to the closet wall as well ...Can't you place a plank width-wise and tie/chain/bolt that to your desk/setup Hell, maybe a simple 2x4 width-wise against the desk legs might just be enough to block the pedals from moving?

Raising the sea level in Caucasus looks great (mod)

All we have to do is give lots of money to everyone that says they're gonna save us and everything will be alright -
Can I find what's causing me to get CPU bound?
Nightdare replied to Ahdidaas's topic in Virtual Reality
...or windows task manager -
Yesterday I actually overtook my Phoenix missile Either I was doing Mach 6 and the speedo was broken, or de missile was doing less than mach 0.9 IAS

I agree, the generational backlog is a dead end Since getting an intel 12th gen requires a new MB anyway, my tip to @sirrah is to start saving up Because by the time you have money for the current End-of-life 14600k, z790, and 4060, with their follow ups on the near horizon, big chance you'll be able to get a 15600k Z890, 5060 for that same money, making a big jump in generations and still have the ability to improve

i-5 8600k upgrade to i-9 9900k
Nightdare replied to algherghezghez's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
My 8600k 32gb was stuttery, found DCS took 16gb pagefile, I upgraded +32g, it ran better with 64 gb ram -
I'd guess in 1. It depends on the rest of the settings In VR or pancake? I can say I got most things maxed in VR with DLSS quality on the 4080 super, including preload and getting 50 fps

Hi All. Over the past few times flying, it seems my radar can't keep it's target distance Lock the target At a certain point, Target Range Scale appears in the HUD ....then disappears, appears in the HUD, then disappears, appears, then disappears (as does the ASE in the VID) This from whatever distance I acquire target, on to the point the target is well within Aim-9 distance and regardless of the plane or course we both are heading Now I'm uneducated enough on the turkey to accept I'm doing something wrong, but I didn't change my actions, and prior, I never had this problem If I lost TRS, I lost lock, simple as that

I was starting to wonder why sometimes I couldn't keep the turkey out of the drink

Crunch Time! VR upgrade, choosing GPU + PSU
Nightdare replied to Nightdare's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Bit the bullet Really thought hard about an XTX Asrock Taichi, but Nvidia never gave me any troubles, so I'll stick with what works Went with an MSI GeForce RTX 4080 Super Gaming X Slim + TT Toughpower GF A3 1200w It's actual 3 slots, not 3 slot bracket+some added cooling shroud (thought about the Inno3d 2-slot, since that wouldn't need any repositioning in my case, but in tests, that seems to perform less than FE and also runs somewhat hotter) Also, some reviews mentioned that the MSI had quite good build quality (PCB wise), 1 cable 12vHpwr also means less clutter Maybe DLSS will exceed my low expectations, it might help a bit in longevity, as for RT,...well, perhaps when playing WH40K or something Thought about getting the Suprim, but put the difference in a Thermal Grizzly Wireview (To take some stress off the cable), and an aftermarket vertical mount The TT PSU, as mentioned: because has the connections, power and dimensions I wanted Hopefully card and psu will arrive tomorrow and we can go through the horror of cable management again -
Did my update for the UFC 'Finish' at 99.9% yesterday, got the same "Boot" message, ran another update over it, went to 100%, all seemed fine after that

Heatblur F-4 Phantom / Jester and the WW Slider or Dial
Nightdare replied to Keith Briscoe's topic in Winwing
The slider/dial levers can be set to axis, 3 buttons, Or axis+3 buttons in Simapppro, so if it's possible to 'move' jester selection (I'm in VR, so I use sight) you might be able to
